    I would really like to thank you. After dealing with the Ender 3 V2 model for 3 years, I bought the Anycubic Mono X6 k resin Printer. After the feb film was broken, I was a little panicked because of the screens, but thanks to your video, I replaced it in one go. Thank you very much.

    Great video! You explained this better than the company that makes the printer. Very on point and in depth with a great camera view. Thanks again!

    Thanks so much. You were much more informative than other videos I’ve seen. You are the only video I’ve seen that bothers to explain why you need a bottle cap 😅

    Great video! But when I did this, the bottle cap scuffed the FEP a bit. Has anyone else experienced this? Should I start over?

    • @HobbyLinkInternational
      @HobbyLinkInternational  Рік тому

      I haven't had it scuff up the FEP. How bad is it? Eventually there will be markings in the FEP it should be ok as long as it isn't too hazy.

    I see the "Tune your FEP to a specific frequency" a lot. Do you also do that?

    • @HobbyLinkInternational
      @HobbyLinkInternational  11 місяців тому

      No I never tuned the FEP. The method I use is the same way Anycubic said to change the FEP. Tuning the FEP always seemed like an odd practice to me. The only special thing I used was the bottle cap.

      @@whoa6375 i pulled out the spare black screws that came with the printer (the larger screws) The have GX 12.9 imprinted on them. Measuring them they are 12mm in length. Fishing around a bit it seems the black ones are m4 12mm screws and the smaller ones are m3 5 mm flat top screws. I hope this helps.

    Funny question, but what bottle cap did you use? I have the same printer and I destroyed the polarizing filter. I bought a new one but have to install it, just working up the energy. Mrs. Maker keeps hounding me to get it done as we need it for some Halloween parts.

      I used a 16 ounce Dr. Pepper cap of course lol. Yes and you must fix it soon Halloween isn't too far off.

    How did you know how tight you wanted the FEP sheet? Other videos do frequency but I don't think anyone can agree on a number since everyone is using different mats / audio analyzer apps

    • @HobbyLinkInternational
      @HobbyLinkInternational  2 роки тому +1

      I learned from watching the anycubic video. They didn't tune their fep at all. I just went step by step what they did.

      @@HobbyLinkInternational same! It was a very nice video, I was not sure if I was supposed to tighten the screws all the way or enough where it's all even past hand tight.

      @@HobbyLinkInternational ah.. thanks for the reference. So there's still room for me to tighten but it's more than a two finger touch. The FEP is pretty tight already where it has some give but not totally taught. I think I'll just have to do a test print 🤷

    After installing the FEP into the frame, run a pair of scissors around the edge to cut off the excess film. Then install the frame into the vat. It's a lot easier than trimming it off after it's installed.
    This way you don't scratch the edge of your vat and it's a lot safer.
