- Andre Ward thanked Bernard Hopkins, Roy Jones Jr and Floyd Mayweather for inspiration during his career as a boxer. As Ward gave his 2022 hall of fame induction speech as he thanks Vergil Hunter his trainer as well as his family and friends and left off with a heart felt message to his deceased dad.

For millennials and maybe Gen Z this is a great class. But none of these guys are top 10 all time list. Holm might be because women side doesn't have any near as deep lineage as the men

To say Floyd is not top 10 all time with a 50- 0 record is crazy to me. I've never agreed with him being the greatest boxer but to not have him top 10 your boxing IQ is in question ❓❓❓❓
@@waliahmad3030 By your logic Joe Calzaghe who retired 46-0 should be in your all time top 10 and Ricardo Lopez who ended up 51-0 should be above Floyd. No one is saying these 3 undefeated guys aren't great but not overall top 10 all time great
@@eastcoastshine2009 when you look at Floyd's resume and who he's faught no one with any boxing knowledge would say that he's not top 10. Calzaghe is a very underrated boxer, not top 10 but when he beat Hopkins he definitely improved his resume. I can tell that you know boxing but saying Mayweather isn't top 10 just isn't smart at all.

@@theentrepreneur607 Ali was forced to keep fighting under contractual rules and Tyson had to keep fighting because of the debt that he was in. Plus you do know that boxing is a job to boxers right meaning you don't get paid if you don't fight.

I care to share that it was a pleasure to have spent time with Andre and his family during the TSCR Inductions. I was assigned his security detail on the Friday evening 06/10/2022 while he and his beautiful family had family time re ; dinner etc. I Praise God for his spiritual character and Andre class Gentleman-ship inside and outside the ring. Its so refreshing how he gives God the Praise and gratitude unto his wife, the other host of ibhof champion inductees and his trainer Vergil Hunter. Wow it was a humbling pleasure indeed. So Proud of him and unto all the Inductees. Kudos !!!
People who hate on Ward definitely have a sinister agenda. Ward is a class act. He could box and brawl on the inside. A true technician.

Forgot to mention...retired undefeated...and only had 1 loss as an amateur I believe. Most of his fights were decisively wins. He cleaned out the divisions and had nothing else to prove. He left money on the table when he retired but his health abd legacy was more important than a catch weigh fight with Canelo or GGG. Wasn't worth it.
