jesus. this is literally my dream truck. me and my granddad had a red and silver 84 half ton bullnose growing up. always wanted to get another to build and cruise around with him
Currently getting my great grandpas 84 Bullnose back running like it did in the day. Seeing this truck makes me dream of the potential my truck has for the future!
Dude I’ve been waiting for this truck to get done forever and the wait has been so worth it, it came out amazing. Also sweet fun fact about how the obs name started I never knew that and I don’t think a lot of people do.
Cool rig. Had an '84 F250 Standard cab 4x4 long bed with the N/A 6.9l Diesel and it was absolutely unkillable, even though the glow plug controller had been bypassed(stupidest idea ever) and the glow plugs didn't work it hammered on for a couple of years with ether😅. Until I replaced all the plugs and controllers and it didn't need anything after that. I made the mistake of selling that truck back to the guy I bought it from for more than I paid for it and at over 786,000 miles on the engine he finally blew a head gasket. We eventually stuffed the lower mileage spare engine back into it and it ran really nice and strong. I finally found another F250 Diesel but an '85 and it's also been stupidly bypassed so it's getting all new glow plugs and controllers and back to stock configuration with new pressure and return lines for the fuel system. I expect eventually I will add a Frantz bypass filter to it along with all my other gasoline engines F250's of that era. Absolutely love the Bullnose Ford trucks. I now have 3 of them😊! Plus a big block powered '90 Bricknose with the ZF5 but it's an extended cab, which I wanted for a camper truck for the added passenger seats and Xtra storage space in the cab. Just can't beat the old Ford trucks!
The “old school” stereo, wood grain and most the hat holder, SOLD, love it, always wanted a duly but the big old four doors were to much, this one is sweet. If I could build one this would be it. Mahalo for another great one 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼, 🤙🏼❤️🇺🇸🤠
Ahh! I saw this truck in south Texas before the transformation! Back in December 2021. Had a chance to buy it at auction. Glad it went to you guys-love what you did with it!
Thank you for the chance to win this perfect truck, would be a forever rig. Great motor, all mechanical sure would be a dream come true. Good luck to whoever wins this beautify.
I’m wanting to get either a f350 460 (fuel injected) or 6.9 idi for a two Alaskan winter road trip. Which one is a better engine? How do they do in cold?
I've never entered one of your giveaway's but I am now. And as far as selling that truck. Lmbo I work for a living and the truck for sure will be putting in that work to.
I think the 6.9 and 7.3 are good-looking engines. Everyone calls them dogs but back in the day I worked the sh%t out of them and they served me very well. I had friends with 6.5 GMs and that was a DOG!
Can you put coil springs up front and air bags out back on one of these? I wanna get one of these trucks and put a 24v cummins and an Allison transmission with a dana 60 out back and whatever i can get for the front. I wont own a truck that's not 4x4.. or rather, i wont own one for long that i wont convert to 4x4. Im gonna be doing true dual smoke stacks outta the bed. Wonder what grille guards you can get for one of these things.
You mention in this video that you have covered the ZF5 in other videos. I'd like to know more about this trans.. Can you tell me which videos those were where you talk about the ZF5? Thanks
Well done guys. This one came out way cooler than I even pictured when you first started. Fun to see the process along the way w the other videos! Keep that up for future builds!
my 85 Lariat will be getting pretty much the same treatment, though mine is getting an over drive unit rather than a 5 speed, basically gear spliting the factory 4 speed. I'm having a bitch of a time sourcing the wood grain interior and door panels though.
@@jracer7189 Ah alright I’m going to be checking out my clutch soon. It’ll grind sometimes when putting it in reverse so it seems like it might not be fully disengaging. I just got a new tank and sending unit put in her and I’ve been driving it around for the first time in awhile this past week and everything seems to be working alright. Something about driving these old beasts around is so satisfying. Haha. Good luck with your build man!
I get that people need money but to win something like one of these amazing trucks that you guys build and just sell it, that's a shitty thing to do in my opinion.
Selling the truck might be the best thing for someone’s family and financial situation. Winning one of these trucks can change someone’s life for the better whether they keep it or sell it.
@@lostghost513 Absolutely. Hopefully someone who needs it and/or can truly appreciate it wins, but if someone gets it and it’s an opportunity to get out of debt, put a down payment on a house or pay for college, etc, I say more power to them. I swear every build you put out I want more than the last! This thing is sweet!
I couldn't agree more!
Put everything we had into this one!

She looks hella good and sounds great. Chloe is coming home with me.
Now that's how you build a dually...you did a great job that thing is beautiful
Great looking truck! Love the sound! We had a couple 6.9's years ago and you couldn't kill them, ran forever!
6.9s sound so good with the boost!
I know your post old but would you recommend a 1992 Ford 350 xl 5.8 ? Is that engine solid?
@@BruceDragon-sf1tr the 351 is an amazing engine

I’m so pumped for this truck. It’s epic. The short startup scene, it just sounds so damn good.
This truck turned out so sweet! Props for not Cummins swapping it. F*ckin' Mint👌

Sweet truck
Talk about a head turner! The only thing it's lacking is a hot lil cowgirl next to me in the driver seat! 😂
Good luck to everyone.
Nice, well done for sure. The Bull nose is my favorite. A true classic truck.
Here's hoping good luck buds great work love bullnose fords

I really need a truck. This is my fav style because my grandpa had one that was all white when he worked for the city of San Antonio.
This guy said (I hope you guys like the truck as well) IF (ANY) PERSON DOESENT LIKE THIS WILL DIE SHAMEFULLY,,we love it a LOT
Beautiful truck!!! Good job guys.

Great truck.
Really a sweet truck
Truck is absolutely gorgeous nice work! When it cranked up I got the weird chills.
One of my favorite features of the bull nose is the bent gear shifter.
That’s a really, really, really, great, great, great truck.
Awesome job on the truck! This thing looks sick!
That thing is coming home with me to Tennessee without a doubt
Yeah, beast mode bro beast mode. This truck is top tier.

My dad is restoring a 85 f-250 dually could you recommend a vendor to get new fastners for it? Front fenders mostly.
That truck is awesome
This thing is gorgeous
Kudos to your build and or rehab build

I won't lie, I was nervous the whole time building this thing. Then we put the tires under it and it looked great. It was a load off my shoulders.
Man I wish there were more builds like this! I hate this new trend bs with 24 12 wides and scared to work the truck !
I would love to own that.
I'm trying to find the dually fenders and I can't find where I could buy some
“Look I’m a walrus” 😂 beautiful truck! Great job with this build
Dang thing look's sweet
Where did you get your seats from?
Nice job love the video
Holy crap I want that!
I think if I win I would have to drop the 35's down to 33's for my needs but everything else looks fantastic
You'll have a lot of tire gap unfortunately. The shackle reversal and solid axle swap gives 3-4" of lift using stock springs. So 35s fit easy.
Very nice truck mid 80's Ford trucks are the best, if I was able to win it ,it would be the last truck I would own.
how tall are you and how big is the lift?
What kind of seats did you put in it
I had an 87 F150 XLT Lariat with dual tanks way back in 1995 - 1999 and the dual tank fill gauged didn't work.

my 85 Lariat will be getting pretty much the same treatment, though mine is getting an over drive unit rather than a 5 speed, basically gear spliting the factory 4 speed. I'm having a bitch of a time sourcing the wood grain interior and door panels though.
Man this thing is just calling for a license plate on the front with an International harvester logo on it.
All in all, how much did it cost you to build this truck?
Dude, I wish I could have entered to win..just found this . FML
Tire size?? Thanks
I hope I win Walrus the bullnose. 😅
Walrus, it's a great name 😂
What lift is that?
Where did u find the pen stripe?
How much do one of those tires
That is my uncle
If I won that truck I would never sell it, I’d sell my house if I had to and live in the truck lol.
Ooopsy too late for Me. Sick truck anyway.
I would buy this is a New York minute.
what size tire are on it?
where can I get the wheels
Damn just missed the giveaway. 8/15/22
Nice

We just talked the other day, no head gasket issues yet as long as you keep it to 10lbs of boost!
@@hodsonmotors ok I'm gonna send it
@@hodsonmotors thank you
Regular fronts look better anyways
Qwantwz hp??
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾💪
Shame someone had to ruin a perfectly good truck by lifting it.
Doing the 4x4 swap and shackle reversal gives 4" of lift naturally. Leaf springs are stock springs.
