The work you guys do is insane and underrated. The way the truck was compared to how it sits now is night and day. Thats someones whole year project and you did it in a couple of months lol. I recently bought a 84 F250 like this. It sat since 2004 when the original owner passed. I have the 6.9 idi, 4 speed manual 4x4. Great trucks.

I bought a 84 out of highschool big block 4spd, then swapped in a 6.9l worked great for about 5k..... Voltage regulator died n fried my harness. It's parked waiting for money.
These builds are so tasteful and otherworldly! You might have to throw on a bullet-shaped antenna to make it feel relatable.

Oh Man! I am definitely entering. My grandfather had a 1984 Ford F150 and this truck reminds me a lot of that one. I was also born in 84. I also had a 1987 Ford Ranger XLT that looked like this F250 sort of on the inside. It was white exterior with a tan interior. I loved that standard truck! Hope I Win! 🎉

I did a Black Vinyl floor mat in my Supercab restoration project. By far the best thing to do on a truck. I HATE carpet in trucks. Its basically pointless.

1) Add a mount for the spare! If I KNEW when I would need it, to thow it in the bed, I would probably never need it because I would avoid whatever was going to give me a flat😂. 2) I had the same, fold flat rear seats in my Ford, and they were GREAT! Thow a comforter down on it and put your ankel biter down to lay and sleep😝. Of course, couldn’t do that now😂

Great Truck !!! Awesome work. You say it's a Marine Cummins. I this engine running on marine grade or is it configured for regular diesel. Not familiar with except what I google.
The bodyline from cab to bed looks sagging. Is that just the angle its parked on, or is that a cab mount issue?
I see what you're saying - at about 30:31 you can see the cab bounce a bit and settle in a different spot than it was before if you look at the black trim line. I don't actually know anything about this stuff so maybe it is just parked on an angle, but it caught my eye the first time I watched it.
How is the power on that 12V? Is it more than the factory would have been? ie. can the truck tow/haul nicely without bogging down due to lack of power

How did you restore the plastic around the supercab windows?

We always run 5 inch on our Cummins swap trucks
My 96 Dodge 12 valve which I bought brand new and still have came factory with a 3 1/2 inch exhaust. I recently replaced with a 4 inch exhaust.
I don’t like fords at all but that is a badass truck, it takes a Cummins to make it cool but it looks good too
Thats the hope, to make a vehicle so cool even those who arent a fan of the brand still appreciate it!

I wasn't going to buy in on this one, then I watched and listened to the video. A very cool Cummins swap truck that isn't obnoxiously noisy, and looks incredibly comfortable to drive and ride around in. I'm flying in to drive it home when I win!

@@hodsonmotors it’s a balancing issue and pressure plate. Clamping force comes into play as well that and making sure that the surface is completely true and decked/plained completely true. on a single mass wheel the chatter comes from not having a completely true surface. If you have it turned by a machine shop, the chatter will stop.

What gear ratios are we talking? Still have the camper? Think about putting cruise control in it? Redoing the tint or letting the winner decide?
I can't believe I forgot to mention that in the video! The winner gets to keep the camper if they want it, or they can leave it with us. The truck has 3.73 gears in it, they're brand new! No plans on making the cruise work, and we already redid the tent, the very next day.

That's just frame flex, go off road with any old ford and they all do it. Cab is tight and cab mounts are all good. Only way around it is to box the frame.
Can confirm. I can tell how good or bad a road is depending on my cab-to-bed line after parking. They move all the time

So, I have a 1988 F250 7.3 Supercab longbed 4x4 xlt lariat. I absolutely love my truck. Just did new paint last year, and a gearvendors unit. Would love to do a 12v swap. I've got a couple videos on my channel if anyone wants to check it out.
The back windows are 2 pieces under the trim, can't just take the piece off

I love the original paint but if you spend 30k on a paint job and it cracks or flakes 2 years later you got shafted lol
It's just paint quality now a days. When we paint a truck, we're sandblasting to bare metal, and using high ends paints like PPG and House of Kolor. Paint back in the day gave people cancer, but lasts forever 😂

No sir, it was 1985 when the f350 went away from TTB. I obviously know that snowfighters are the best axle, that's why I say BESIDES the snowfighter, the kingpin Dana 60 is the best axle. But I can smell a hater from a mile away, I know you're just jealous you don't have the truck. But keep on commenting, I love it 😂
