Correct! DO NOT GET a cheap K40 laser! How do I know? I got one, of course! I added a height-adjustable, larger working are bed, upgraded the motherboard to allow using LightBurn, added a water flow indicator, and a couple other things I can't remember right now. It never has worked right. If I cut a circle, it's more of an oval. And it will never go back tot he same place twice. I started life working on cars, as my dad built custom cars, and I always helped with the minor jobs. I later went to a respected technical school and got a formal education in it. Later, I got a degree in computer science. So my mechanical aptitude and computer knowledge are excellent... I know how to upgrade a machine. It is just a piece of junk. I have two 10-watt diode lasers I'll use until I hit the lottery or marry a billionaire, so I can get a good CO2 laser. Those things are EXPENSIVE, if you want a good one! For me, it is still mostly a hobby, so I can't justify paying the price of a car for one. Thanks for the informative and helpful video. I always appreciate an intelligent approach to sharing knowledge. There's one guy who's always throwing his arms around for attention, and just looks like he's smoking something, which distracts from anything he's trying to say.
I have a 10 watt diode laser. I have it in a enclosure and also have a 2 in 1 smoke absorber attached to it. I know that's not enough, but I don't have a window near my laser. Is there something else I can do to help prevent the smell. For me and my family safety. Thanks in advance
This is a great summation!
Thanks Ry! I appreciate that!
