well made, i go in december and january. the water is too choppy and not that clear at rum point when i go. i have the hardest time getting a good shot when on the waverer. i need a good waverer mount lol..
Dang, the gorillapod looks sic! I only have the GoPro brand selfie/tripod stick but the rock thing is a good idea. I will try to come up with something like you did. Thanks for the tips and awesome shots you got there!
Great videos Josh. We are staying near Rum Point at Kaibo Yacht Club during Memorial Day weekend. Securing the camera was a brilliant idea. I have a gorillapod that I will weight to the bottom with a 2 lb soft lead ankle weight for scuba.
Winter is a nice time to come. November is generally pretty warm and humid. The temperature is around 28-32 degrees Celsius. I live in cayman so if you have any more questions just ask me
There is a place called the London House that is very cheap in the summer and I go there every year for my birthday. It’s amazing there and there is a poll and 20 feet from the pool is the ocean.
Do you recommend renting snorkel gear in Grand Cayman? Or should we purchase our own gear beforehand? I hope i see the stuff you saw. great Video. I need a worthy guerrilla pod, so i can capture footage like yours.
+Halee Rockwell We asked at this place that rents kayaks and snorkels at Rum Point Beach. I don't remember what the place was called. We didn't rent anything we just asked them for a buoy so that we could swim out to the reef.
Such a great snorkeling video! Probably best one I’ve seen.
Great video, will give my 21 yr. old lots of ideas when we are there this summer.
Can’t wait to fish on the reefs this summer for these stunning exotic species!!
INCREDIBLY well done video!
yet another amazing video! the place looks awesome! I have been in the Caribbean, but south the corals was not like this!
great choice of tunes

Cool video! Shouldn't take the starfish out the water for the sake of a pic/video though.

I just recently came back from a trip to cayman and o have to say the reefs on rum point and near starfish point are not the same :(
I went snorkeling there and had a collision with a stingray 🙊
Can u tell me what the name is of this particular beach?
How far did you have to swim to get to the reef?
looks like "Coral Gardens".....?
What food did you use to feed the fish?
How did you anchor your gopro around the reef and get it to stay really still?
+Noelle Tijerina I used a gorilla pod and wrapped it around a rock which I swam around with. I placed the rock on the reef where I wanted to video.

who did you ask at rum point if you could swim out? Going to be there in 3 weeks and after watching your video, I'm dying to do it!

+Josh Turner very cool. Did you use a color filter on your underwater camera?
+Halee Rockwell No I didn't but that looks like a good idea and I may try using one in the future
+Josh Turner that is amazing!
The place at the beach is called Red Sail Sports. They are great. They are all over Cayman. I live on Grand so trust me, I know!
Don’t take the starfish out of the water
What is the song you used in the video?
