My farmer dad passed away in 1980, but if he were still here, he'd be sitting right next to me with each and every one of your videos, Pete!!! I, for one, am deeply grateful for the extra efforts you invest in all these film capturings of your daily life there on the farm. And, by the way, I'm thrilled for you on the most EXCELLENT job you did on that MD!!! Tis a work of art!!! ;o)
That's the most animated I can remember seeing in Hilary. :) I think she has a lot more to say, it would be fun if she did a video on her own once a month. Love your channel, I watch it every day! Thank you, Pete, Hilary, and family for the fun and interesting content.
watching that old tractor come to life with all the work you put into puts a smile on my face every time you start it. We enjoy your channel and can relate to a lot of what you talk about because I grew up on a dairy farm in Walton, NY.
Pete, I like your wisdom! Wisdom often comes after a whole life of hardship, challenge, happiness, and hope! I like what you have to say about life and your honesty!
OK, I don't care what the pig thinks, your jokes are great. Love the sound and look of the new engine, looks like she runs great. Great luck with haying
Wow, I bought 2 for my H's, 1 for my 404 and 1 gor my 460. Took them bach to napa (Pennsylvania) the guy called the napa headquarters and they told him they are not including the gaskets. I love your posts. You make my day. Ps.. I Love your jokes !! You inspire me. Thank you
As usual, I very much enjoy your videos. I have never had regular sized pigs, but my children enjoyed the pot belly pig, & we had numerous piglets, from time to time. Now the children are grown and gone, along with my wife. But I have wonderful memories of Horses, Cows, Goals, Sheep, Alpacas, Dogs, & Cats, on my little 20 acre farm. At 72, I am thinking about reseeding & growing hay, since I have the equipment. I don't need the money, but it will give me something to do. Thanks again for your videos.
As a Diesel mechanic for 20 plus years I think you did a fantastic on rebuilding the MD , don’t listen to the haters that leave you messages . Your doing great and keep it up . Your a dieting breed being ran out of business by the Giant conglomerate farms and your successful, don’t ever forget that . That’s my two cents . Look forward to seeing many other videos. I just got done with my second major back surgery and can’t donate to your Go Fund Me but I will ASAP . Thanks for the hours of entertainment. Hope all is well, Woody Wilson Zimmerman MN .
The amazing variations of rain. Ithaca’s predictable hay growing rain in summer (no mechanical irrigation?) and the annual very dry conditions (lots of mechanical irrigation) of the Pacific Northwest known for its rain. Interesting contrast. Your jokes are good medicine.
I totally love how you can keep your cool. My Dexter's got out today and headed for the highway I just lost my cool. Swore moretoday than i have in awhilw.
We always kept a one pound Maxwell House coffee can (remember when coffee was actually sold by the pound?) on top of the muffler of our John Deere model A. Invariably I would forget to take it off before opening the pressure relief valves and rolling over the flywheel. Seemed like that can always landed in the hardest to recover places! Another great video, Pete! Cheers! Whipple
Pete backing that wagon out of the barn reminded me of my youth watching my dad back a full load of hay up the ramp and on to the very old barn floor usually in a rain or hail storm using our Farmall H. Those old international tractors always steered pretty easy even without power steering. The old barn floors had no nails so the horses feet would be safe. Just a fun fact. When I was in 4H I competed in a tractor driving competition and got first place because I was the only one who could back a four wheel wagon. I used a John Deere 1020 vineyard tractor.
poor red, relief is on the way, along with piglets. I'm west of you in Michigan. forcast for 70's thurs, friday and next week end. love seeing the MD working.
Gotta new joke for ya, bill asked bob, " how was your vacation" bob says" it was great we went to the Jimmy Dean factory, I swear you never sausage a place!"
Oh this episode. Saw you take off the muffler. So the manager told me I could use the new JD for chores. Yup bent that brand new muffler, a lot taller than the Ms and Hs I was used to. He wasn't happy. I'm not the one who introduced that green thing into an otherewise red fleet.
Pete thank you for another day on the homestead. I can't imagine how the cows were afraid of wild turkeys unless they attacked them. I wonder if the bulls would have protected their mates??
Hi Pete, how are you 2day, I'm fine thank you, I just wanted to tell you don't stop the jokes, keep'em coming, and as always grate video's and keep up the good work. Verne Johnson Farmall kid 63 😊
At least you guys didn’t have to chase 300 cows like we did before because one of my coworkers left the gate open on accident and then they got in the road, and I’ll just say, it was not fun
I remember growing's up when that would happen.at night..all the neighbors would pitch in and help get them back in.. Cuz we all knew karma would get us too and we would have to rely on them to help us get our animals back in.
@@OurSustainableJourney you have to let them make their mistakes. My daughter and son each ran a million dollars tractor / planter combo getting corn in the ground intended for a $750 k contract.
They don't mind turkey so much, it's the cranberry sauce and stuffing that gets their goat. Plus the family getting together and the inevitable bickering over who has had too much eggnog.
I run 15/40 rotella in my truck haven’t had any problems with it if you pull out the dipstick it’s clean even at the 3000 mile mark great video thanks for sharing
Red looks to have lots of little piglets in her and I hope all goes well for her and the piglets. Boy the MD sure sounds good every time you fire her up.
We hardly use electric wire at all in Norway, just the high visibility ribbon whatchamacallits. I'm not saying it would stop a stampede, but it could tip the scale.
I watch a Fresian horse channel in the Netherlands that euses the ribbon. Interesting as always. Tractor heaven. Love the jokes. I’m glad I can share them with my kids. Piglets sooon. God Bless you sir.
Pete you are something else man ya that tractor is running great you know I guess you do have to manage your land well because the cows and chickens are all out at the same time too bad red pen wouldnt allow for a mister I'm sure that would end up being a huge mess
When the baby pork chops come along are the names already picked out?? Can't wait until the piglets are running around in the pen again, they are fun to watch. Smaller farming really is a great life!
Nice looking cows, my neighbor in Elbridge, NY had a heifer called nutsabella , she get back 50 feet and charge thru single wire electric fence, she was sent away
Great video. You should name the Farmall MD. Dr. Frankenstein. You know MD is for doctor and Frankenstein cause the half painted half of its in its old working clothes
Watching this video made me exhausted. So much work goes into taking care of the chores
MD music to my ears - I'd start it up every day just to hear it run!!
I have been doing that!
Hillary and Pete ! You both did what you folks always do! You go above and beyond ! You folks are awesome!
Thank You

This takes me back many, many, many years ago. My uncles farm. Dairy cows, bailing hay, feeding chickens, gardening. Keep it going Pete.
The great editing raises the humble content to an art form. True quality videos.
You are one of only two people that I know that can back a front steer hay wagon. You are the man!
I know your family is a tough crowd, but I appreciate and enjoy your jokes. Happy haying.
I love it! You don't chase your cows, you call them, and they follow!!
I love how you can talk and interact with your cows! It's really amazing to watch.
Always a joy to relax and see you deal with farming life.
Keep the dad jokes coming!! I love the sound of your old tractors, humming along..

Most people wake up for work and decide what tie or shoes there gonna wear, Pete wakes up and decides what tractor he wants to use today
Have to buy more shoes
May he never have any doubts, because winter will find him.
We really like your jokes as they help us stay cool during these hot days.
Good to see the MD in action. You got to enjoy the fruits of your winter labor.
your jokes are good enough for me i been in the bar bussiness for 40 years but been farming lot longer thanks for shareing
You should be proud of the Tractor. After all, you did an amazing job with it.
