    Thank you for the explanation. I feel compression too when I go into urdhva dhanurasana so instead of force myself deeper in the pose I listen to my body and just do as deep as my body can take it. Recently I am more awared of my front hips and always remember stretching that area when I am in urdhva dhanurasana. It create more length and allow me to bend more.

    I've been forcing my backbends pretty rigorously a few years ago and now I have an almost constant pain/tension in my lower back.
    Do you ladies have any advice on what to do in this case?

      I've no idea ..maybe see doc it's the best way ..or wear korset premium back support ??
