Feels good to be back! The reason I chose this game to come back with, is that I felt with release of the Wii and everything, Twilight Princess was really a dawn of a new era for Nintendo and Zelda. I'm hoping that this is also a dawn of an era of better videos and covers for you guys! And I'm sorry, but if you didn't like Twilight Princess, you're a hipster. There I said it.
Getting back into the routine of this has been difficult though. It was quite challenging to get back into all of the nuances of doing these videos and looking back at it after a lot of hard work, I made quite a few errors. Mostly just sync problems and I think I used an incorrect bass clip at one point. It sure was quite a wake up call to just jump back into mixing and mastering a full fledged medley too. At any rate, I hope you guys enjoy it and I'll be seeing you guys on Thunderday for my first tutorial in the series!
Also let me know what you guys think of the cuts to the game! It's something I'm going to try on and off from now on when it's appropriate. :)

If you say Twilight Princess didn't have good music, then there's something wrong with you.
Translation- "If you dont like something that I do, you are wrong!"
Stop letting your nostalgia blind you.
Kalificus
But it is true, Twilight Princess did have some great music. If you don't like it then that's okay :)
Kalificus
Nostalgia? That game's like 5 years old.
Giraffe Faggo More like 8.
Luke Schlachter Graphics are more like 10.
Midna's Lament always gives me chills...especially when he went full on metal
So nostalgic… when i first played TP I fell in love with the game and the series
The Lake Hylia theme from this game has to be my favourite Zelda tune, I used to go to Lake Hylia when I played this game, and just walk around and swim, just to listen to the music and take in the all around beauty of that place. Just such a great area!
dude.. seriously, i've watched this over and over, at months apart. and it NEVER fails to bring a tear to my eye, or goosebumps, or shivers. good job. brilliant job.
3:34 Midna made this game for me imo and i'm glad this got covered. From where she begins to the development in the story, this was the first true companion that actually played a role in the story.
Not only that, the game is literally named after her because of how important she is, i can't even consider her a companion
10 years later, still my favorite metal melody of twilight princess
The transition from Midna's Lament to Lake Hylia is one of the best I have ever heard.
I'm learning guitar because of this
He said nothing about wanting to be that good right away :P Just stating his inspiration.
That's silly. I mean I understand completely, I taught myself guitar a few months ago and am so bad in front of people or cameras. But answer me this: did you (originally) aim to learn guitar for personal gain or because you felt that talent and passion burning up inside, wanting to be set free?
I had a feeling. That's how so many people start out. Not necessarily a terrible thing though, because like you said, we grow up. We learn from the silly, childlike invincibility dreams that you don't just pick up a guitar and learn everything the moment you want, regardless how strong your ambition.
***** Well, some Zelda Soundtracks are very easy to play (like Hidden Village) some are fucking hard, i play acoustic for 1 Year and E-Guitar for 6 Months now, i can play the Hidden Village.
How did that go for you?
You did 2:41, Hidden Village so well. :D brings good memories of this game back.
I do not often comment, and I don't know if you will ever read that.
Still I wanted to tell you that Twilight Princess was a big part of my childhood, one of the game that will be my favorite forever. And imo, you totally knew how to keep the atmosphere of the songs, while still "metalizing" them. So for that, I owe you huge thanks! Really made my day listening to your work.
Twilight Princess my favorite #1 game ever forever
It was for me for a long time. It was passed up by Devil May Cry 3 just last year
always will be mine as well.... most heasrt wrenching even
Mine too
Love this game. The only games that come close is probably BOTW and Minecraft.
@@youtubeminute4388 minecraft?! Wtf? Get outta here with that shit.
8 years later, and still love this, TP will probably stay my favorite loz game of all time and jules, thank you so much for making these awesome covers!!!
0:55 would you like to teleport to the water temple?
Very beautiful
Hidden Village was my favorite
I don't know... The beginning definitely gives it a run for its money.
Ah true
I'm gonna say man Usually I glance over over these medleys and don't much care for them but Man you had so much power and emotion in this Medley That you have actually inspired me as a musician to further better myself to be as great as you are. You are Great and will no doubt do great things with your talents! Keep it up!
@777missdiabla777 Since I've done a good deal of these, I've gotten pretty fast at it. It usually takes me a day to learn, arrange and practice all of the songs I want to do in a medley. The thing that takes the most time, is recording it as perfect as possible. I'm far from perfect but I always thrive to get as close as I can. I try not to over think the arrangement of it.
This is still one of my favourites of yours. Such a great track :)
I love come back to this and listening it in the background as I work on projects. It makes me feel at peace and happy.
I loved this era of your channel. It's where it started for me. I always come back to these old covers
I've been revisiting this video for years. So absolutely fucking awesome.
This is my one of my favourite zelda games, i loved the darker themes. Can't quite beat ALTTP though
DwarfyGamble I don't think it's fair to compare the top-down titles to the traditional 3D entries, they're very different styles of game.
@@RabblesTheBinx I think it is. Believe it or not, the 3D entries borrowed A LOT from Link to the Past - Master Sword, music, general mechanics. They can easily be compared. Direction you see from doesn't change anything. They're also all interconnected in the timeline.
it's really cool how you can transition into the next song so easily! your medleys are always the best
This Medley is freaking awesome. I love Twilight Princess and your music is all-around amazing!!! Keep up the good work!!
*tries to play this song
*ends up going to replace a recently, totally unrelated broken window
that ordon village
This is just one of my favorites, TP is my favorite game and I think you made a great job with this one!
Wow...that was truly amazing. I have seen other covers of zelda games but this has to be the best i have ever seen. Keep up the amazing work
So great! This was my second favourite Zelda game, Nd this medley is... Too good for words...
Out of curiosity, what was your favorite? TP was my favorite, but I think that OOT might be "the best" Zelda game just because of the nostalgia factor.
My favourite is the Wind Waker. Nostalgia. lol
Kyle Logsdon A Link to the past for me.
Cameron Reyno For me, it's LttP. That game is simply genius, in all departments.
This is my second, followed closely by Ocarina of Time, though in certain departments, OoT edges ahead. This game did improve on some aspects, even if they went a bit far on the whole brown filter thing.
Before Twilight Princess the only legend of Zelda games I got to play we're Oracle of Ages and Seasons. So Twilight Princess has ended up as my all time favorite even as I go back to play all the others.
Great job dude!! Midna's desperate hour was killer!
It's actually called Midna's Lament. But your heart is in the right place! Rock on dude!
MistahWiddlyWah Actually it's called Midna's Desperate Hour in Twilight Princess. It's only know as Midna's Lament in Super Smash Bros.
Dallas Smith And on just about every single cover of the song. Besides, the name Midna's Lament compliments the song way better than Midna's Desperate Hour. It's also known as Midna's Desperation. So when a song has 3 different names it makes it hard to determine what the actual name is, I think we are all correct.
MistahWiddlyWah it's like Final Fantasy 7's battle theme all over again
Your arrangements are fantastic Jules, so great!
What way to start! It encompasses the sense of wonder and amazement the player gets from the game.
I think incorporating game footage (sparingly) is a nice touch. You have a sense of timing/pacing that allows you to pick the proper moment to do so.
am I the only one who thinks tp is the best zelda game?
no your not
This is amazing to find after Twilight Princess HD has been confirmed
my eyes seriuosly well up and a tear fell out... the lake hylia segment was so damn beautiful thank you so very much!
Thank you gods of music for giving us jules back!
The tie inn between midnas theme and desperate hour was PERFECT!
i know your next song will be awesome as well!!
I've started Twilight Princess HD yesterday.. I couldn't ear Ordon Village without your guitar! XDD Also the game looks so much better on Wii U
*****
It's obviuous that this was made a lot more faster compared to the HD edition of Wind Waker... I'm just glad that this version has colours, compared to the Wii Version
30 people are chickens! Or forgot that boomerangs come back... Maybe both!
61
I've been waiting for you to do this medley since forever and it did not disappoint! Zelda is my one and only video game addiction. :D
Hidden Village is so amazing. I love the acoustic lead over the heavy background, sounds so cool
Avenged Sevenfold poster... Avenged Sevenfold poster everywhere :) and my favourite Zelda game I never play and it just fuck up great job +1 subscribers foREVer
Fucking nostalgia much... Hidden Village is my shit, I used to save before I got there then just stand by the entrance and hide from the Bulblins whilst I listened to the music, drove my mum batshit though xD
TP was the first Zelda I ever completed. I was about 10 at the time :o
Me too! Got the game with my Wii back in 2006 and completed it around two years later when I was ten years old! I loved the Hidden Village as well but I gave up for months at the Palace of Twilight because those wallmasters scared me so much!
AGMT same
***** I always managed to get stuck on the first temple of any Zelda game I ever played. Even the fucking Deku tree in Ocarina. Must have had about 60 hours play time before I managed to beat the fucking forest temple on TP, pissed me off so much.
Don't feel bad It took me 3 hours to find the mini boss
Yes! You are back. I cannot wait for more videos. Amazing job as usual!
That was beautiful. It gave me chills, its good to know that all my favorite music that nintendo makes can be turned into something greater! Thanks for this awesome Medley :D
wait wait wait...where's Hyrule Field?! D:
it's in his video "Replay" I believe
He plays it in his Top 10 Overworld Themes
Holy shit, this is all sorts of epic! Subbed! Btw, I agree, all the TP haters can kiss it, it's a beautiful (albeit rushed) game!
rushed? dude it was delayed and two more temples were added as a result!
agreed
Gotta say man you always do awesome whenever you play and seeing as how Zelda is one of the top favorite game series of mine and what got me into gaming, you are doing a great job man, keep up the awesome covers!
Great job Jules! A great way to make a comeback. Glad to have you back, your videos are always awesome, and always inspiring.
Skyward Sword plis!!!
lake hylia is the shit
Some parts of this makes me think of vacation next to a lake on a warm summer day with a constant cool breeze with a glass of lemonade in one hand, and a smile on my face.
You've got talent, and it shows.
this is fantastic. you really captured the essence of the game well while making it your own. makes me wanna beat the game over again :) well done!
I wanna hear Hylian Field on guitar
I feel so uncultured. I've only played Phantom Hourglass
Dylan Andrade twilight princess is a beautiful game I definitely recommend you play it
don't worry your not the only one
Amazing return video man! Glad you're back! I love the music from this game, great choice (:
-single tear- this was pure nostalgia to my ears.......thanks...just thanks dude.
OMFG that was PERFECT and BEAUTIFUL. First video I watch from you and it's an automatic subscription.
I really respected what you said in the description. It's nice to see someone that finally is giving Twilight Princess the love it deserves. I mean all Zelda games are amazing, but Twilight Princess always seems to be one that people didn't like as much. It's in my top 3 personally, it's the most mature of the games in the series, hidden abilities, Midna and graphics were awesome. Nothing but respect for ya man!
You are still one of my favorite guitarist. I love this medley
That was brilliant! I am so glad I found you on UA-cam because you are doing some amazing things with songs I know.
Gonna watch all of year 2 covers blaaazed to the roof! :'D Juules you're one awesome fellow human
Dude, great video. i loved the way you did midna's parts and lake hylia! Keep it up dude.
man, this is amazing! so harmonious and powerful, taking the essence of the game.
you've made an amazing job!
can i use this for my TLOZ fan fic?
well, in fact i want to use some of your Zelda songs, because they inspire me to still writting it.
thanks! keep the good work!
Awesome work! More calm than your previous covers, for sure.
Headbang, then shivers, then headbang some more.
LOVING the sound of that Explorer, man. Simply awesome.
Strollin through my faves and here is a blast form the past.
Hey, I have that shirt too! So glad to have you back! I was definitely missing this from my life. I like how you edited in little clips from the game too, a nice addition.
those laid back parts of this medley capture the calm feel of this game so well.
what a fine selection of songs played together so well!
Beautiful!
One of the best medleys I've ever heard
I remember when junior year at high school just began, and this song helped me to relax while I was adjusting to the AP classes... hard to believe that was a whole school year ago.
Glad to have you back thank you for another awesome video and song Jules.
i have listen to all of your covers and im going to say this crystal clear you sir is a musician GOD
Your work gives me effin chills EVERY TIME. DFTBA my friend. Good to have you back.
God.... dude. I just watched all of these Zelda guitar covers and I am in love with every one of them. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING MY NIGHT AMAZING!!!!!
I'm so glad that you're back! I had barely just found you when you went on break. Zelda Twilight Princess is actually my favorite Zelda next to Four Swords Adventure. I hope they do more with that universe or at least wolf Link and Midna. The inclusion of game cuts was nice.
I gotta say, i got a little tear in my eye from this!
best part was the hidden village! glad to finally see you back ;,D
THIS VID IN MY SUB BOX MADE MY DAY!
Glad to have u back dude! :D
You have no idea how glad I am that you're back - playing music from my favotite zelda game too.
The cuts to the game worked pretty well, you did a good job not abusing them, I personally think it might even work to have them more often in the video. Nice touch.
Welcome back missed your music!!!!
Glad you're back with such a great video !
This brings back so many memories. You are amazing at guitar
this is one of my fave's of what you have done i love this very good.i love midnas theme
Your second video I've seen.
You've really got talent.
I love this.
Every time I watch one of your videos it makes me wanna pick up my guitar and learn a old school game song :D
Good job sir, and welcome back.
Oh gawd I love this game so much, you're amazing. Thank you

Dear god this is beautiful. You're legit one of the best guitarists I've ever heard
Wow, this is incredible! The harmony of Zelda soundtrack is just... wow
Man, you did a great job on hidden village. That song is so cool. Good job on all of them.
This is one of the most epic things, I´ve ever heard. Amazing.
Amazing return man, keep it up dude!
I'm so happy you included the hidden village music
That was amazingly awesome! I love your covers, and epic shirt!
I can't get over how amazing this is. I love it :D
dude, this is easily the best zelda cover i have ever heard, you're bloody brilliant! :D You should do one of Tales Of Symphonia! I think that game's soundtrack would be right up your alley!
Super genial... en serio jules... regresaste con mucha mas calidad en el sonido... me agrado muchisimo este medley... soy fan de zelda tengo casi todos (no los de nintendo viejo lol)
I been listening this song all day... XD
Really well structured! An emotional return :D
