We have a Nikon z9, a7siii and a7iv. Now, we are either going all in with Nikon or Sony. We have a lot of Nikon glass, so it’s a tough decision, especially since Nikon glass is just so good.
I shot a short with the BM4k. It needed a lot more light that I am used to. I didn’t understand why people raved so much about it. I sort of understand it now. It has a lot more to do with filmmaking skills and setting up the shoots. I feel Sony by default is setup more for run and gun fast turnaround, but I feel it has are more advanced color system if you want to go there. Look at the phantom Lut fellow, for example.
I’ll give this, the P4K threw me for a whole loop when I first bought it. I couldn’t really figure it out practically. But once I did, I was in love. I’m definitely a fan of their sensor and pipeline. But I will look into that as well!
@@AnthonyHadleyJr It takes time, that is my point. Granted, with Sony cameras it is easy to mess up the colors. That is only because they are very advanced. I suggest starting with PPOFF, no picture profile. It's really the best setting. After that checkout the phatom lut pack. Joel explains highlight rollo of very well. Then roll out your own LUT and put them as Picture Profile. You can get the LUT look without Slog3. Fantastic
FX6 for own projects and short films and ZV1 for holidays (hopefully the ZVE1 soon) and now the iPhone 14 pro max too 😂 why? Because of the quality and ergonomic specifications every cam 😉 best cinematic greetings from 🇩🇪
Good video. Although I have seen a fair amount of people NOT shooting sony. And i gurantee that if you had 3 reels from 3 new cameras out right now you wouldnt be able to say which was which.
I would agree that 9/10 that would absolutely be the case. The bottom line really is, we are in such a great place across the board, compared to where we were ten, or even five years ago.
What camera are you shooting with and why?

A canon G7X ... because I like it... lol!
@@feliciamesadieu2743 I miss mine actually! And you make your footage out of yours look great!
FX 6 all the way.Use the A7-4 for some b-roll and stills. Both price/value performers in my opinion.
I definitely agree. A buddy has an A7rV. Im hoping to get my hands on it a bit more soon!

@@nyambe Ah! Got it! Will do that next time I get my hands on one. Thanks for the insight.
🔥🔥🔥
Thanks. Got one myself. Love it. But why did Sony go with that plasticky coating? It sparkles in the sun and looks a bit cheap.
I noticed that. I get the aesthetic choice, but not the most practical lol.
@@AnthonyHadleyJr I guess that coating is making the camera dust/water proof. So ok.

Hey, we all have our vices. For some of us it’s camera and tech gear! Thanks!
