You have no idea how much I envy you guys. I learned to sail on fresh waters in my twenties. I sailed in the ocean in my forties. Th3n I had to put my son thru collage. In my eighties it is too late to plan on sailing the world. The desire is still there but the ability is in question.
Outstanding that you kids were recognized! I don’t think most people could miss such a striking couple anywhere they traveled. What a wonderful place to u wind too. My family always had some type of boat, Dad being what they would call a “flipper” of sorts back then. He’d find some old “Leeper”, fix her up and sell it for a tidy profit, enabling him to buy the next leaker. It was a great life for a family of seven, but we never took trips, camped or stayed in a hotel because ‘That’s what the boat is for’ in Dads terms.
A break is so important to recharge. The boat is looking amazing ! Can't wait to see the adventures begin as I bet you can't either. BTW you love shines bright. Wonderful to see the joys not just the hard work. Much respect and blessings to you both.
@@victorbitter583 that ep still available online for $5-11. However the original boxset is up to $500-700.. now if your ep is great condition, cover art perfect, and a possible autograph them its up to the bidder. Does that answer your question?
Absolutely perfect ... Love that last bit 'It's old school', very fitting for a classic sailing vessel . Thanks foe letting us sail with you !! Keep Doing That Voodoo That You Do, So Well !!!
It was good to see this side of you guys enjoying some take a break get away time, your so close to the real deal take care be well and looking forward to the next episode…
In the last couple videos, you two have radiated a glow, that wasn't present in earlier videos. The smiles of satisfaction and pride, are obvious to anyone who has followed your journey. Can't wait to see you, when you finally sail out of Napa Valley Marina, for the last time. Cheers!
I'm an old Southern California boy. I had a 32-foot Atkins and lived aboard when I was single, by the old Henry Ford Bridge. Spent many weekends cruising around Catalina. My favorite Anchorage was blue Cavern point on the Lee side. At the time I called it Natalie Wood point 😉. When I wasn't fishing, scuba or free diving, I would inflate my zodiac take a pair of fins mask and a steel 72 with regulator and cruise the marina, fixing problems for boaters who had more money than good sense. The freezer was always full of lobster tails and abalone. That was 40 years ago, I have long since retired to the country home on my 43 Acres that I built 30 years ago. Enjoy your time in the sun you two. God Bless.
My 1st video of my day! Guys, I cried seeing y'all waking up in something you've built together. I was excited for the gift of the trip. Fate an friends are a beautiful thing in this life. My son an I watched eagerly as you dove seeing everything y'all saw. Ruthie relaxing..... An then the buffalo (brought Swab to mind)so strong an chill. The respect for nature an life in your daily existence is beautiful. I'm mentally iffy... Sailing is freedom. Freedom in found thru watching 2 ppl enjoying life loving each other !! I'm inspired by you 3 (cuz Swab) beautiful ppl! Before ya know it you will be sailing an enjoying the fruits of your labor an love! Thanks for sharing your lives with us! ✌🏻💗😊❣️
Watching you guy's have put a flush of colour into my day,you both look so happy and content thank you for filling my day with a splash of colour and Joy.
Used to live and later summer there myself in the 70’s. My dad taught English at the High School there, lots of very fond memories of Catalina Island. 😀
Finally a well-deserved down time ... and in your element! Good job you guys! You right this is what is waiting for your beyond the build! I am cheering for you two!
Catalina was my 2nd home during the Sommer's when I was young. We used to fly on the seaplanes and on the SS Catalina steamer. I've dove, snorkel and fished all over , check out the blue caves just south of the istmas. PS; Garibaldi are the dumbest fish 🐠 which is why they are protected.
Definitely a long awaited break. Now that you two have been refueled to continue to fulfill your awaited dream that you've work for what six long awaited years. COOL Man that Buffalo looked like a Beast. He was HUGE.
Awesome vacation, Awesome video. Glad you had a great time. Thanks for sharing. Now get back to the boat and get working so you can start doing that full time. 😉
WOW I have cruised my whole life and never seen an anchorage so crowded I guess its a popular destination but..............really. Another fun vid thanks guys
Holy crap! I have never seen fuel that high. Wow! I thought that $2.80 was too high. I can only imagine how much it costs to live there. Thank you for showing the off the beaten path.
Fantastic episode I'll probably remberbmore than you fun seekers. But WooW what a great island to relax, explore from High atop Vistas with Buffalo guys hanging (literally) about to crystal clear dives below the surface teaming with life being fed well by the unwilling waters from the deep Pacific right? I have a marine biologist from Brooklyn originally but living in sol cal helping run LA's clean water and sewage treatment systems for 40 years just retired. He loved to dive off Catalina and maybe still does. After retirement I lost his number and such.. maybe he moved to Catslina and didn't want anyone following him for awhile?? Hope he's doing well.. And I absolutely l love your whole shows each week and Redaviva is gonna sail to Catalina with you three amazing wind and wave and ocean garden lovers soon ... and we'll be with you too unless you pull the plug for a time to rest for a spell.. but I'd love to follow again if that happens when you'd be ready for us to join you aboard your super hand and sweat built dream of the heart and hard loving work so carefully and thoughtfully and creatively made the dream come true..
I live on the Northshore of Oahu, but after more than 20 yrs of living here, it's time for a change , & Catalina island is one of my dreams. I would love to own a Pacific Seacraft Dana 24ft sailboat, on a ball some where. The video is beautiful.
Great video! Not like the rest but it gives a glimpse into what kind of adventures await you once you finish the boat. Very exciting!! And a good little video promoting Catalina Island ;)
Just, wow, seems like a great little get away. All "rested up" and ready to get back at it when you get back? Ha ha ha? That celebrity life... getting recognized and drug out to their boat to party! 🤙ROCK ON😎😜 I never would have expected Buffalo way out there, but that's pretty cool. Having a strong Native heritage in my family I am drawn to bison/buffalo. The other part being eastern European, I long for the sea, so this video spoke to my core. Thanks for taking the time to get some footage, and for sharing it with us.

158 I said a while back I started from 1 and liking every video watching through the boat is amazing! Can't wait to see the rest
Watching your videos over the years never disappointed.

This episode is priceless... Your smiles all the way through, says it all... Well done...
Catalina!! all you need now is some wine and a mixer!
For my money Catalina Island is one of the most special places on earth. It has a vibe that gets into your soul and it just won't let go.

You make me so jealous. You have literally built a life anyone would love. You do still need the old fashioned Anchor. Love to the 3 of you.
