After the grounding of Breaking Waves, the Polynesians saved them in a storm. Then they put them up in their own room and fed them and delt with an injured ankle. Then they got the boat off the reef and continued to support Ben and Alie. The Polynesian culture is one of the best on this planet. The best!!!
And I quote Erica, "Holly Fu _ _ _ _ Sh _ _!" That was a nice sailfish, and yes, let them go. I'm sorry you didn't catch your Tuna. You may need some steel leader for whatever is biting off your lures. What a hoot. It could have been WaHoo. But the schooling looked like Tuna. Good luck on your next fish rampage. It was great to watch.
@@WEsail I've been watching you guys for years and seldom comment, but that was just too funny and exciting to ignore. You work so hard on your videos to make us smile, so I figured I needed to think about my comment to hopefully make you smile. By the way, I was serious about the steel leader. You never know what you will hook in that beautiful part of the world. Keep having fun!
I enjoy how you show the actual marriage parts, I laughed out loud, my husband and I do that on the boat too. Good to know we are not the only ones who get excited and so on. Fantastic episode.
Warren & Erica: We are all celebrating your Anniversary and praying the day of was full of as many joyous memories in which we have been privileged to experience through your channel. The thrill and excitement of your ventures are those things that keep this positively top notch channel alive and expanding. We all are so grateful for each and every week, full of excitement sharing the positive side of life on the water. Happy Belated, we all Love you Both so much.
Good choice releasing the marlin. Marlin are just above Bonita for eating. I like the thought you both have about taking fish. Take what you need and let the rest go.
I love your videos! Thank you for sharing your sailing voyages and helping us discover extraordinary places (and now lesser-known islands) and people. We vibrate with you and your rays of sunshine bring us great joy! Thank you
Awesome episode! That sailfish was was a beauty, I notice most cruisers on these u tube channels dont keep marlin or billfish. Its alot of meat for 2 people right.. Look forward to seeing you in New Zealand.
Ya awesome, thanks for that comment! Yep most people don’t keep them, I think simply because of their lower total numbers and also gotta be partly because of their beauty
Ya we always do try to do that, we once kept a marlin and felt bad about it ever since! Not 100% sure that they are endangered, but worth turning back none the less
copperCoat...yeah!!! Just scrubbed ours in FP after eight months, 4000 nm. No barnacles of any problem level, some goosenecks where the sun hit, and a half inch carpet of soft green scattered. A power washer in a yard would blow it clean. Used a softer plastic scraper and some heavy stainless steel scrubber and you could get shiny copper to come up with little effort. We are at almost four years now. That paint is so hard, the scraper just slides and cuts clean, like in your vid. I loved Tonga. Eua is a special place but only can be reached by ferry. Some crazy caves, wild parrots, and very wonderful people. You leave the boat in Nukualofa and take the ferry. No harbor, no anchorage.
Sailfish, said to be the fastest fish in the ocean and can swim like 70mph, it's no wonder it was taking all your line! Spends most of it's time near the surface but can dive to over 1,000 ft to find food. Glad no one was hurt, that guy had a knife and was trying to use it on Warren.. lol
I'd suggest having your drag checked. Lines snapping at that location is usually because there is too much drag, which causes the line to dig into the ridge where their teeth are, severing the line. So I would either check your drag, have the reel serviced, or increase the poundage of the line to try and compensate for a heavier drag.
Thanks for the tip! I think with these bigger fish we are going to let the line run a little bit more with less drag while we spend the first couple moments concentrating on slowing the boat down… that’s the plan anyways
So you DO yell at each other. I KNEW it. What an awesome episode. I want to hit Annapolis some time so I can meet you. Still regret missing you in bora bora. ❤️❤️
Great video... sometime in the future, when looking for a theme for your video, I'd appreciate an in-depth discussion of the fishing gear, lines, and lures that you are using.
Love your videos, thanks for sharing. Your fishing, when using good tackle use stainless steel traces to avoid loosing expensive lures (especially in the Pacific). I good idea for yachts is to use a bungee cord system tied to the back cleats of your boat instead of fishing rods for mahi-mahi and albacore, because it puts the fish on top of the water and you can pull it in by hand without stopping the boat, about 10 metres long. Google it or let me know and I can send you a set up. Cheers Dallas and Charmaine from NZ
Hi hi you two!! Thanks for the message, and let’s stay in touch because we will do a meetup in NZ in just a few weeks when we arrive!! Also thanks very much for the fishing tips, we have been interested in “hand lining” for quite some time now and just really haven’t pulled the trigger, very interested in more information though!! Cheers
Most folks can only dream of landing a marlin. My hubby went fishing & caught one only to have a bronze whaler shark jump out & eat it right by the boat. Was the highlight of their fishing trip.
OMG 😱, what a beautiful day of sailing‼️✨🌊💨💨⛵️🏝️👙🌞✨ Some great fishing, a local meal and a most lovely black and brown (tan) striped robe topped it off. See you both next time. 🙌🏻🙌🏻💥
Fishing is a full time job. When fishing you have to pay attention and screw everything else. Also you must have a rig that is up to the fish that you anticipate catching. Tuna is not like the sail fish you cought and brought to the boat. Tuna dive and you have to crank them from the depths. So stop the boat and watch your drag and keep pressure on the fish to tire him. And get a gaff to bring him aboard. the leeder is hot strong enought to lift him out of the ocean. Just food for thought. I havd a 70 lb Tuna hanging on my son's game room wall.
I can't imagine how anyone can think yelling will increase the focus or speed that something happens. Last time I was on the receiving end of that I was clear - you can either divide my attention or let me focus on fixing the problem. Fortunately for all involved space was given, focus was achieved, and disaster was averted.
Hi guys. I enjoy your videos a lot. I have a question related to visas. Normally the max time one can stay in a country as a tourist is 3 months. You’ve mentioned you will stay here 4 months. What are the visas you normally apply for?
Hey thanks for watching and good question- the thing is that we have found is that every country is different on their own visas: some offer three months, some four or six, Mexico is a year and then a few others don’t require any at all… so we just kind of handle that when we arrive, whatever they ask for and require is what we do! Cheers
It's not fair to compare your Cat to The Tri-maran of LaVagabond. Which is a racing Tri-Maran. Now Riley is dreaming of a 90' Tri-Maran. Insane. It's wrapped up in Chinese Ownership and would be nuts for him to put 2 small children on it without any creature comforts. They don't have space for the number of adults as it is... Fun video of fishing chaos.

Thank you too!
Great video you two. Keeping my dreams alive. Beautiful sailfish. Caught a few that big in Costa Rica years ago. Awesome.
Yo bro!!! Man good to hear from ya! Thanks for always being so good to us!!
You might try some steel leader material, to cut down on line being cut by fish.
Nice fish you let go. Good on ya. Was really pulling for you to land a tuna, but it'll have to wait for another day. Great to have you guys back!
Hey awesome, thanks very much for that!!
That was a sailfish you guys caught. Good job on releasing, but they are really good eating
Great to see ya guys happy Anniversary 🎉 another great watch
Great video. Thanks for sharing.
I do not know what has taken me so long to subscribe to your channel. Hope to see you on the water one day!

Another amazing video! Love you guys! Fare winds and following seas!
That was very nice of you to release that sailfish. They are considered endangered specious and they are sport fish.
Ya we always do try to do that, we once kept a marlin and felt bad about it ever since! Not 100% sure that they are endangered, but worth turning back none the less
LOVE! ❤️
Fabulous as always! 😲
Thank you for telling her not to say that again . We appreciate it. Not joking.
Should’ve ate that sailfish they are delicious
Great video and Happy Anniversary
Thank you so much 😀
When you catch a marlin and it is of legal size, keep it, they are very good eating
A really awesome video as always. I appreciate the huge effort you too put into each and every episode. Thank you for sharing your epic journey.
Wow thank you, great message to wake up to!! Cheers
😮 a trip that was

Nice Sailfish not a Marlin and he went back fine, there are a whole lot more sailfish around and they are good eating, but good to catch and release
Awesome thank you for that! And thanks for watching and commenting!
Os sigo desde que navegabais por el mar de Cortés y ciertamente tenéis muchas habilidades pero la pesca........
So you DO yell at each other. I KNEW it. What an awesome episode. I want to hit Annapolis some time so I can meet you. Still regret missing you in bora bora. ❤️❤️
Haha yep it definitely happens, just not usually while recording so when it does we are fine showing it… most of the time 😉
I love watching y'all fish 🦈🦞🐠🦑🐚 the energy is so beautiful, you are amazing to one another ❤❤ God bless
Awesome thank you!!
Great video... sometime in the future, when looking for a theme for your video, I'd appreciate an in-depth discussion of the fishing gear, lines, and lures that you are using.
Oh!! Okay sounds good, NOTED!! Thanks for the idea!!
Parece que el morado no es el color de la suerte 🥰🥰❤😁😁
Love the channel guys and thanks for all the great content... You really need to get some wire leaders so less fish can chew though it
For sure, totally agree!! And thanks for watching and commenting!!
@WEsail get to a place that's easier to receive mail and I'd be glad to send you some...
Nice!
Happy Anniversary guy's 🍾🥂, what a way to spend it
Love watching your videos, keep the good work 👏

Purple hats and purple pants! Hahah
Glad you're back!!

Hey hey!! Yep exciting times lol
You have 2 motors.you can back up on the fish !! You two need to come up with a plan on what you’re going to do when you catch a fish.
Fair winds ⛵️
Totally agree! It does seem like every time is different, but you are still 100% correct!
The yelling isn’t “directed at you all the time”. But sometimes it is :) Keep up the great work and honest videos!
Hahaha just sometimes;)
Must be taking notes from LaVaagabond this week on the thumbnail…. Sorry Warren I had to say it lol.
Ok now I’ll go watch the episode. Big hugs.
PS glad you are back safe from all your travels! 🎉❤
Thank you!
Line chafed by the bill

I start missing you at the end of every video. 🤷🏻♀️
Awwwwww, thank you for that!! So sweet!
💜💜💜💜🐋🐳🐬🐟🐟🎣 nice fish
Smoke the marlin. You need some steel trace.
That's a Sailfish not a Marlin but still, what a buzz! Let me know when your in NZ, come fishing with us!
Oh FOR SURE!! We would love to!! Please stay in touch with us!! Email is even better
We will email you guys 😊
@7:30 So did Erica dance on the Ladies table or not? Define "best". ;)
Thankyou 😊
You’re welcome 😊
WOW! Great video thank you both :) Just out of interest how long did it take to real in the Marlin?
Thank you! Probably about 20-25 minutes from the moment it hit the line.
Steel leaders
Drop the sail!!! There’s 50 thousand feet of line out
Haha RIGHT!??
❤❤
slow the boat down. n real baby real.😊
👍👍

Hey thanks for that, really appreciate it!
🤙🏻
Need steel leaders
You guys need heavy duty or metal leaders.
I think that’s what we are gravitating towards!!
Did you get to see the Jack and Kate from Sailing Zatara? They were there for the summer
We sure did!! Absolutely great kids, and not just saying that
@ such a tragedy they went through. Glad they are ok and glad you 2 are back.
Erica!!! "Holy fuckin' shit!!!!!"? You usually put up such a good front but you showed your true colors when you had that fish on~ 🤣
Haha RIGHT!? You all think she’s so cool but NOOOOO LOL!
@ Sne is VERY cool! She’s just got a longshoreman mouth on her🤣
Holy fucking shit! Haha I love it!!
That was a sailfish
Keep cruising those waters and you can start a side-hustle as a bikini fishing channel. Don`t ask me how I know such a thing.
Haha deal!!
😀😀👍👍👍❤❤
Anyone else here for the thumbnail
Don’t say it again! Please! 😂
Haha yep, four times is enough lol
I think that was A Sailfish. Not a Marlin
Yep, you’re 100% correct!
Marlin is not a good tasting fish. I take a few pictures measure him length and circumference then release them.
