I saw them in the upstairs of a little dive bar in D.C. a couple nights later and got to say hi to Dennis--you missed it man, good show. Not trying to make you feel bad or anything, they'll be back soon hopefully. I liked the album the first time I listened to it, but it really grew on me. Good shit.
As I weep lol jk. Naw that's awesome man. See I really hope they take off and become more known and get the recognition they deserve because bands with half the talent and shallow lyrics are blown up into gods. Only thing bad with that is when they come back they won't be in dive bars anymore and the sting of missing the first show in my town will grow stronger lol. Favorite song is probably Our Blood and Inheritance.
Yea, there definitely should have been a bigger crowd at that show, but the selfish part of me likes seeing them in a venue with less than 50 people, so it's always kind of bitter sweet when a band gets big. Everyone always wants more Refused albums--Refused is my favorite band, but geeze, let the guy have some fun and do something different. Variety is a good thing. Those songs are definitely some of my favorites as well, the whole album is pretty epic, and I say that as somewhat of a music snob. It very well could be another Shape of Punk to Come, but who knows what their next one will be like, perhaps even more awesome. Hopefully I'll see you at a show some time, but I'm a little far from Seattle unfortunately.
I was front and center at your montreal show with my boyfriend and we had such an incredible night! You guys and gals are great performers and we can't wait until you come back! All the best on your tour, God bless xox
+KostaRoasta22 This is not punk. This is post-punk. In the likes of The Cure and Joy Division. Very good music in my opinion. But Refused did release Freedom last year which I think was a very good comeback by the punk musicians.
The video , song, music , the band everything is perfect .
So pissed I missed the show last night in Seattle. Loving this whole album which is rare. One of my favorite albums period. I'm serious.
