A real classic, with the bride's attempts to remain straight-faced drawing the most laughter from me. A great set-up and acting all round, but it would have been so hard to keep it together while the scenes played out.
@Marillionboy Hi, just wanted to day that I have the additional footage of this prank that featured a couple that the Candid Camera try to marry. I may upload this footage soon. I'm aware that they filmed a lot of stunts around south west London, Arthur Atkins, who worked on the show said they filmed in Richmond Upon Thames (this clip), Norbiton, and Tolworth to name but a few places.
Well thirty years on and Mr & Mrs Badcock are still happily married. And William still hasn't told his Wife from his first marriage about it. He got a good deal out of it. She was a bit of alright that Ms Poppadoppalis.
I've recognised areas of Kingston, Tolworth (the pickpocket) and Richmond - near Lichfield Court (Sheen Road) - I used to live and work around these areas too.
Thanks! I know where that is. The cinema is now a nightclub, a big new complex called the rotunda opened a few years ago just down the road, which has a cinema within it and the new bus station is around the corner. I think you'd be surprised to see how much has changed if you checked on google street view!
I was born in Kingston & worked there for 13 years. I think the pick pocket prank was filmed in Tolworth Broadway & outside the old bus station which was replaced by Options (don't know what it is now) but near Wilkinsons & the tumbling telephone boxes. I haven't been to Kingston for years so I have no idea if things have changed :-(
I live near them areas but don't recognise anywhere sadly... I thought it was filmed near Heathrow because you can hear lots of planes going over, but Richmond is pretty near the flight path too..
@coecludd Any chance you could upload the rest of the footage? I'd love to see the footage of my Great Aunt again. Yes, it does indeed seem this clip was done in Richmond, though I can't imagine what my Great Aunt would have been doing there! Another Candid Camera gem I remember was the milkman telling a customer that milk will no longer be white but would she like to choose from green, pink or heliatrope!
@Marillionboy When Candid Camera got her, it was my Grandad who alerted us to the fact. It must have been filmed either in Bethnal Green or, I think she was actually living in the Borough area at the time, in South London.
@Eastenderzz If you actually read the posts carefully, she isn't in THIS clip but in the second part of the Witness Marriage sketch which has also been uploaded. Please don't be so rude and insulting without reading the full facts first.
@Gusgrasshopper Well she isn't actually in this clip, but the full stunt featured another two witnesses who they then fooled into accidentally marrying. The videos released had the full thing. Sadly there isn't much I can say, she was a pretty distant relative, from Bethnal Green, quite a rough diamond by all accounts who took snuff and drank beer, not that usual in those days!
@Marillionboy . Any chance of telling us anymore about your great-aunt. It sounds funny, I suppose, but because these people had their 15 minutes of fame, i find it fascinating to find out a bit more about them. They have become almost immortalised by appearing on a TV show; I have had these videos for years and still find them funny. I imagine your great aunt is no longer with us?
@Marillionboy Um... your "great aunt" would have been one of the actors, the only person who didn't know this was a prank is the witness. So before you try and make up that you know the person being pranked, get it right and at least use your brain.
Badcock. You couldn't make it up.
Genius 🤣🤣

Christina Papadopolus was holding her laughter in both instances!
I love that he's so bemused at the end, yet he didn't see a problem with kissing a strange woman on the lips!
Yeah this man was really a " *BAD COCK* "
I never have problems kissing girls I do not know as long as they are willing.
@@varshoee Better she finds out now than on the wedding night
So funny. He just goes for it.
If you're a man and you didn't jump at the chance to kiss that gorgeous woman - married or not - you had better check yourself for a pulse.
i cant stop laughing and repeating this clip.....😂🤣🤣🤣
Mr. Badcock, that is bigamy!
That line gets me every time 😄
"Oh no, it is big of me!" - Ali Nadeem
Funny how she couldn't keep a straight face!

That brunette is quite lovely.
“wait a minute “
Oooooooooooooooh baby! I laughed so hard I pert near wet myself!
I wouldn't mind too much marrying her
What the hell is Badcock doing going through with this marriage?
He was thinking about the wedding night.
well with a name like that you take any chance that comes your way
She was a beauty
As soon as the second guy says his name the woman smiles. Likely thinking, he had to have a name like that......
Just his name will make me laugh
"Dorothy Daniels" in this clip was my Great Aunt!
She is a beautiful woman. If this had happened to me I would have said "thank you very much. Can I take her home now?" ;)
Mr Badcock this is bigamy .....LMFAO !!!!!!
The Brits just go along with everything don't they?
Yeah, pretty much XD
Can't think why the actors were amused by the name Badcock!
thats because he repeated his name which he wasnt supposed to. he was being addressed
Francis Artanis It's Badtock. Isn't that girl so cute. ?

@Marillionboy Sorry for the delay in uploading the addional footage. I will try to upload this week.
Miss Papadopulos do you take Badcock ?
With 2nd mans name being what it was it made it harder for the lady not to laugh :)
You can’t blame them trying not to laugh when the surname is “Badcock” 😉
@@coecludd I know!!! :D They probably thought "Oh NO!!" in their heads as soon as they heard it :)
Oh Dear God. Im not getting any work done today.... I have to stop watching these
I know. It's addicting.
THE GUY ON THE LEFT IS COOL!!
@Marillionboy When Candid Camera got her, it was my Grandad who alerted us to the fact. It must have been filmed either in Bethnal Green or, I think she was actually living in the Borough area at the time, in South London.
A very Badcock was our William.
I live in Kingston, I think I need to pay more attention! Do you remember which pranks were set in Kingston?
@Eastenderzz If you actually read the posts carefully, she isn't in THIS clip but in the second part of the Witness Marriage sketch which has also been uploaded. Please don't be so rude and insulting without reading the full facts first.
Thats bigomy!
Repeat after me, first of all Mr badcock, 'Mr badcock' LOL
