Choosing your degree is the most important factor in this debate. There are so many people that will choose a degree because of parental pressure, societal pressure, or pressure from their friends. They will choose a degree because it looked “fun”, or it seemed “interesting”, but a lot of people do not ask themselves: what career do I want to get into? And even more importantly: do I need this degree to get into a career?
And nowadays if your goal is to earn a living then you can learn from the internet easily in cheaper prices and use books and materials that is easily available now, rather than spending thousands and lakhs of money in useless college degrees.

Why is degree not important?
A college degree won't guarantee you a high-paying job. It won't even make you a skilled leader with a shot at the corner office. Developing skills such as leadership, decision making, people and resource management takes real practice and experience. These are skills which cannot be acquired in the classroom.

It's true but doesn't makes much difference to me because our Indian education system works that way... Bina college gaye yaha achhi naukri milna boht tough hai without backing. Aur politics ki baat kare toh phir chhor hi do. U can invest and try something different if loss doesn't bother you. But in reality, it does matter to the majority which makes them play safe....

Yeah... I'm 25, had to drop out of college to support my dad's business which he had started when he lost his job of 22 years. Currently, I'm still without a degree but I handle most of the business. My parents says I'm just a 12th paas 'unpadd' and all . Thing is.. I was never good at studying and don't want to go back to it. Is degree that important? Should I go back to it ?

But Our Indian Education System are So Disbalanced that the Reason Why Youths are going Abroad to study.
We see 10 successful stories out of 100 stories of dropouts but don't see those 90 students who regret for not completing or not doing the college. It is true that knowledge and skill matters more than marks. But a degree in hand would be an icing on the cake. And college teaches you life experiences and hustle.

Degree, no Degree. People who are too concerned with their past or future can't focus on their present. Those who focus on what they can do in their present move forward. This is why you will find successful and unsuccessful people with both degree and no degree.

exactly, I'm pursuing CA along with degree so in my case CA holds dominant position so that's the reason why degree doesn't matter to me much but I'm still doing it to.complete my formal education and for.higher studies only. But my question is,.kuch bhi karna ho without having a degree or a business or whatever it is, log degree krte huye bhi kar sakte hai na ! why leave degree for sake of something else ? dono saath Mai bhi ho.sakta hai ! agar plan b work hua toh degree chod do tab, agar nahi hua toh you'll obviously have a safe option of degree. Sharing my experience I've have enough skills and knowledge of Insurance , working in top insurance company for 5 years got promoted also, recently i switched my company and bang they fired me just because i dont have degree/graduation. Its harsh reality of India that we still dont give priority to skills and experience over certificate

But the truth is ajkl job ke liye degree chahiye hota hain aur competitive exam ke liye bhi warna ap allow nhi hote ho.
