    My favorite part of your works are the handles. I'm getting in to this endeavor thanks to folks like you. My goal is to make a knife with an African Black Wood handle. Keep up the enjoyable-to-watch work you do.

      Thanks brother, I actually have no problem grinding freehand, but grinding with a jig is waaaay faster as I can push the blank harder against the belt ;)

    Beautiful. What did you use to colour the blade? Also what is the purpose of putting it in dry ice between the heat treat and temper?

      These are the tempering colours, I've put it in the description.
      It's a Cryo heat treatment, makes retained austenite change into martensite, which makes the steel harder.

    many people making handles connections with blade only using glue , and i loved that u are using not only glue but also mechanical connections, really good job, good luck.

    My older Henkles knives say ice-hardened on the steel so I wonder if they do similar treatment.

    What is the purpose of freezing the knife before temper?

      It's called cryo HT and helps the retained austenite change into martensite which makes the steel even harder

    I have gone through some of your videos trying to figure out what you use to darken the edges. I know you get asked a lot about how you darken the blade I have seen how you have done that and what you use. I'm just wondering if it's the same chemical or something else

      I currently use the bora7 and I don't think this will change anytime soon, they do the job. I haven't used much of 3m except for trizact gator which is very nice belt for final finish before handsanding

    Nice, I thought the lanyard was there to put around your wrist when using the knife so you can't drop it? Not knocking the build or anything it looks great, just curious.

      Thanks, this one has two purposes: first one is to make it easier to take it out of a sheath, the second is just it makes it prettier ;)
      If a user wants a lanyard that allows to put it around his wrist, it can be easily replaced ;)
