many people making handles connections with blade only using glue , and i loved that u are using not only glue but also mechanical connections, really good job, good luck.
My favorite part of your works are the handles. I'm getting in to this endeavor thanks to folks like you. My goal is to make a knife with an African Black Wood handle. Keep up the enjoyable-to-watch work you do.
Thanks brother, I actually have no problem grinding freehand, but grinding with a jig is waaaay faster as I can push the blank harder against the belt ;)
That is one awesome looking knife brother. Very good hand work. i am starting to make a few knives. would you mind telling me what you used to darken the blade. Thank you in advance. please keep the vids coming.
These are the tempering colours, I've put it in the description. It's a Cryo heat treatment, makes retained austenite change into martensite, which makes the steel harder.
I currently use the bora7 and I don't think this will change anytime soon, they do the job. I haven't used much of 3m except for trizact gator which is very nice belt for final finish before handsanding
I have gone through some of your videos trying to figure out what you use to darken the edges. I know you get asked a lot about how you darken the blade I have seen how you have done that and what you use. I'm just wondering if it's the same chemical or something else
Nice, I thought the lanyard was there to put around your wrist when using the knife so you can't drop it? Not knocking the build or anything it looks great, just curious.
Thanks, this one has two purposes: first one is to make it easier to take it out of a sheath, the second is just it makes it prettier ;) If a user wants a lanyard that allows to put it around his wrist, it can be easily replaced ;)
@@BarbershopCustoms Thanks for the reply that makes sense, your builds remind me of Slavik Telly's knives in that you both seem to make works or art as much as a functional knife.

Beautiful. What did you use to colour the blade? Also what is the purpose of putting it in dry ice between the heat treat and temper?

Thanks, it's Bora7
Love it, great job, thanks for sharing
Thanks ;)
Did you only use dry ice in that chest to cryo treat? Does it get cold enough?
why do you not use a bandsaw?
i know everyone has reasons, im just currious why.
No reason, it's just a matter of habit :)
Oh wow
Thanks
Gorgeous....
Thanks
What wood was that please you used for handle
Hi! Firstly thank you very much for the video. What tree is the tree you use?
It's a stabilized poplar burl
Whats the treatment applied with the Q tip at the end?
Beautiful and what u use to patina the blade
These are tempering colours
So beautiful! One question: what is the last compound you applied to the handle?
Car polishing paste
Barbershop Customs great thank you!
beautilful..may i ask..what do u think between bora7 and 3m belt?tq

Where can I buy one?
What is the purpose of freezing the knife before temper?
It's called cryo HT and helps the retained austenite change into martensite which makes the steel even harder
PERFECT
Thanks
What are you using for cooling bath?
An oil dedicated for this purpose, I think it's called jasol 120
Very nice! What was the product you used to polish the handle?
Thanks, a paste for car polishing ;)
@@BarbershopCustoms Thank you!

Where can I buy a knife like this?????
The currently available knives are listed at:

Szkoda tylko, że krajowa firma ma stronę tylko po angielsku...
Postaramy się coś z tym zrobić
Too many bracelets.
What do you do, buy blanks and sharpen add handles, and call it custom. What a joke!!
I hope youre joking man. We haven't ever bought a single blank, all of them are designed by me and cut on waterjet
