Hello, I started riding my dads 380 EXC and wanted to ask you if you ever had to rebuild the top end? If so how often did or do you replace the piston and is the KTM „piston replacement Kit“ for 350€ (380$) the only option? I really hope you can give me some advice! Thanks in advance ;)
Really that's awesome! I love the bike. In this video I was running the stock kehin. I'm riding @ 4,500ft here so I really leaned it out. Can't remember what I was running off the top of my head. I'm running a billet Smartcarb now. I did try the JD jet kit in the keihin and that is a MUST if you're going to keep your stock carb. It really helps and crisps out the power. The stock needle is really blubbery
@@clinteasterly1334 thanks for the info. I thought about the smartcarb but hadnt known anyone who used one. Were there any mods to the throttle cable to make the smartcarb work properly? Sorry for so many questions. Im on their website now just checking it out
@@mrkylefinney no no please ask away! I live for this. Yes the stock cable was too short and I did have to buy a motion pro throttle cable. It was $15 on Rocky mountain atv/mc. The cable is really nice and looks really cool. I bought the Billet Smartcarb just for looks honestly. That added bling looked 👌. If I did it again tho... I'd get the cast smartcarb. It's cheaper by $150 and doesn't have the annoying vent lines that melt against the exhaust like the billet one has.
@@mrkylefinney honestly the only reason I got a smartcarb is because of where I live the elevation changes are huge. I can be riding at one day 500ft to the next 1,600 and all the way to 8,000. So a smartcarb was nice for me because I was getting sick and tired of jetting all the time. If you live in a place where elevation changes aren't that crazy then if say keep the stock kehin and get a JD kit. Although I will say the Smartcarb gave it a very linear powerband which feels really nice and fuel consumption has been cut in half.
@@clinteasterly1334 yeah man, jason foster. I havent seen any of your post in my feed in a long time. Fb decides who I can and cant be friends with like a mean gf
@@illsmokq that's f*#k'd. Yeah I was wondering what happened. You sent me that message to join your super secret group then nothing. No more Jason. I don't see girl name Ashley anymore either. But I think he might have just blocked me.
