exactly what I have been saying to my husband of 26yrs as I try to purge the stuff we have collected over the years. It's amazing the way stuff accumulates. We need to learn to hang onto the memories, and not the "Stuff"
Very nice house, much larger than it first appeared and so many books. It appears that someone has been sorting the books into piles for donation or sale. I think you're right about the room with the TV. The owner must have passed in that room and that's why the bed is missing and there is an air freshener sitting on the chair. The room may be so cold because the owner hasn't completely left the house. Glad you two are safe.
Thankyou so much for another beautifull and wonderful explore, also for not revealing the location of the property, as some disrespectful explorers give out locations and then wonder why beautiful places get vandalised. As i know/knew who's house this was, the man was very interested in the 'educated' aspects of life such as antiques, fine art, music, literature, that is why he has a wonderful varied collection of many different subjects and interests. He first got the antiques 'bug' at a young age from attending car boots/flea markets and picked up his interest and lifelong passion for it, he was a well respected and renowned buyer and seller of antiques, people even asked him to procure antiques for them. His wife was into traveling to many different countries during there time together, also was very big into theatre, watching ballets and live musical performances of classic music, so a wonderful very cultured down to earth pleasant couple. Not only was he a music teacher to many students over the years but they also used to have 'dinner evenings' where friends used to come round for food and drinks, enjoy music being played for them and have catch ups together, so many wonderful fun filled sociable evenings, as both the man and woman loved to put these events on for there friends as it was a time to engage in conversation topics that interested them and got there creative juices flowing.
Thanks Marc! Yeah I really don't want anything happening to these awesome places. Have nothing but respect for them. And you sound like you've hit the nail on the head with your information, very interesting to read, cheers 😁👍
Wow thank you for sharing that. Sounds like they had a very full, happy life. It makes me sad to see his collections just sitting there. Hopefully he still has family that can go in, and get these things into the hands of someone else that would appreciate them the way he did.

Wonderful find! I hope someone comes to get the things from the house. I really hoe someone claims the ashes! How sad. I like that you are respectful of the people and their home.
What a cool house this must have been - with all those wooden features, sauna, pool and rolling hills all around - perfect for a musician or artist to live with plenty of light and room for pianos. Sad to see the bedrooms and particularly the ‘cold’ room - I’m sure you’re correct in your thinking 😢 Hope the owners can be found soon to empty the contents and the house inhabited again. Good work by Ned keeping KV letting you do the full explore! Great explore 👍👍

Thanks for the kind words and yes, it is sad when you come across places like this, knowing what had happened. But we have to celebrate life rather than mourn. Nothing but respect for the owners!
Thanks Alex and Guys, Great vid as usual, my first thoughts are fireplace in swimming pool area - very South African as they use them as a barbecue, also maybe some SA / Rhodesia movements with the design of the woodwork called Deal to be confused with Mahogany. The vents you show are indeed warm air (or warm dust we called it as heating apprentices) The switchgear you show 3 phase, suggests it was electrically powered maybe by an off peak supply necessitating storage bricks using a night supply probably located in a separate room. The vents above the doors recover and re-circulate the cooled air for a circulation of air back to a heat recovery grille. A very quick warm up but dry form of heat resulting in a chilly atmosphere when the heating switched off. All the best guys
Oh my goodness! I love it! I want to live there...but the room that smells like death would have to be cleaned first! LOL... I'm sure there are hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of antiques & valuables in that home. If I were a millionaire, I'd buy the house and all the contents! Sigh...if only... Great video! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for watching Kim, glad you enjoyed that! It's such a quirky house, never seen anything like it before with the strange layout, but still very cool. Outside swimming pool for you as well! if I could buy this house I would leave that cold room as it is and locked up tight 👻👻
Quite the mansion . Those 2 pictures of the girl, she was creepy looking for little girl. Thanks for the risks you take guys 😊❤
Hi there from Greensboro, North Carolina USA. Love your explores. Question: are you related to Ned.
Keep up the great work.
Enjoy your videos guys. But it's really sad to see this kind of place and which made you wonder no matter how many possessions one might have we all die one day...RIP to the owner(s) of this house 🙏🏼
Thanks for the kind words and yes, it is sad when you come across places like this, knowing what had happened. But we have to celebrate life rather than mourn. Nothing but respect for the owners!
You guys be safe and be careful. 😊👍🙏
Neat little place mate!
Cheers mate, very odd place, with odd 'vibes'
@@VacantHaven Mr Buttons again!
@@ExploringWithin Mrs Buttons I think 😬
That artist Dunbar died in 1960 her sketches go for a few hundred her paintings up to 15.000 after a quick bit of research ..
All the best guys
i had gas warm air central heating it was great ithink this house dates fromlate 1960s lovely houe,
An amazing place
Thanks Adrian, appreciate that mate 😁👍
Its a 1960's time capsule. I love it!
The occupants were very well cultured and were very in to antiques and paintings, so I'd imagine the contents would definitely be worth a few quid 😁👍
Another quirky house. Looks like the relatives are in the process of sorting it all out.
Hopefully it is being sorted out! Lots of valuable bits and bobs that need saving!
Great explore
It would be cool to learn more about who lived there!
Epic house ❤
That heating system is hot air and it’s an awful system. My parents had it in the house I grew up in. What a great explore.
Lots of books and other items there. May he rest in peace. 😊👍😢🙏
Hi Alex & Ned, wow what a find, a true time capsule if ever I saw one. How did you find out he was an art forger ???. A good job Ned was on look out duty, well spotted Ned. Thank you for sharing, much love. xx 🥰
Really enjoyed exploring this one!
We heard a story from a local when we asked about the history of the place. Apparently he was very good 👍
@@VacantHaven the paintings did look very good. xx
My ocd would absolutely love to clean these places.
