Lovely old place. Nostalgic even Alex. Well loved old family home. They don’t make wardrobes that good anymore. All tacky plastic coated MDF now! Lol. Enjoyed very much. Thanks Alex 🤗💜😁🥰
They really don't make ANYTHING like they used too! That's why I've got a fondness for these places. Slowly being rubbed out and rebuilt in MDF lol Cheers as always Nanny 👍 👌
Ain't no stopping Alex when he's a man on a mission. You soon scaled those fences and the ladder up to the upstairs. Great little house reminding me of some of the things my mum used to have. I had a knitting machine once but was a newer model than thar but I did have that hoover. Great explore thanks Ed and Alex xxx
Great find 👌shame to see all them antiques sit there hopefully someone takes and sells them onto someone who will appreciate them again. Waiting for the next upload already lol
Brilliant explore. would've loved to see more of the photographs ;) The small tin on the mantlepiece was Knife polish, we used to use it. Bebe candles I reckon would be from the late 1940's but more likely 50's. Our family farm had a vast amount of candles collected over the years from when mum & dad did house clearances. I can't ever remember having to actually go to a shop and buy any. They came in very handy ,especially in the 1970's with the enforced power cuts. I only used the last of the "family" candles 2 years ago... couldn't believe the price of the damn things now !!!! ;) xx
Thanks for letting us see around this farmhouse. It's such a shame that so many day-to-day things in there, tiles, tins, boxes, packets, books and other paraphernalia will be lost as there's so much historical interest. It would be great if some of these unique items could be saved and displayed in museums etc for others to enjoy. Such nostalgia! Thanks again guys.
I am sure im not the only one who wants to rescue the photos and bits that are not wrecked yet . So many little things are really cool . Love the old wallpapers, curtains and lamp fixtures, fireplace surround, so beautiful ❤
36.19, Did you know all old AA badges carry a unique membership number? That farmhouse looks to have been empty for 2 decades, and is probably beyond repair now. What a waste..
Was very nice in its day. Saw a little bit of the late sixties, but nothing else. The mantels, stained glass windows, and the one door with the birds should be saved. Proof once again, you can't take it with you when you die. And those that inherit don't really want anything except what's valuable. In this case, looks to be the land is all that's left.
Watching you guys from Topeka, Ks. U.S.A. LOVE YOUR CHANNEL. I have been along for the ride. You are very brave. There was such an air of old memories, as if at the end they surrounded themselves with old pics and letters. So glad it wasn't destroyed by looters. God bless the Queen and you and yours'. ❤️❤️❤️
Love time capsules, especially loved the triangle windows, stained glass and curtains on the doors! Never saw that before! Thanks to u and ur mate! I am from Massachusetts in the US!😊
Facinating house so many courious things from different eras. Looks too far gone to be restored but I hope those fireplaces and stained glass will be saved. I found a place that sells reproductions of those old light switches from my childhood. I hope to have some when we start work on our old house again. Thank you Alex, for letting me tag along again and seeing so much from long ago. You risk life and limb to bring us enthralling videos and I bless you for it. Please take care 💖💖
As always Jackie you are most welcome! Glad we could take you along and that I was able to live to tell the tale after the top floor explore lol. Take care 😁😁👍👍👍
Enjoyed The Lovely Explore, So Much Unique Items, Must Have Been A Grand Farm Home, Love The Painted Lantern In The Hallway, Always Great To See You With Ed Out and About, Stay Safe, Thanks
I really enjoyed this video. Love old farmhouses and old fireplaces. Well done for taking the risk to see upstairs! very tricky. And may I say it was nice just to have you two doing the video together as well.
Hi Alex & Ed, that belling fire is the same as the one I used to get dressed for school by in the early 1970's lol. Thank you for sharing, much love. xx 🥰
Such ordinary house hold objects, except they’re all from years ago and now they’re antique. There should be some sort of society that saves these items, they should not end up in landfills. We live in a mad world 🌎 I love your channel. Pompeye is brilliant!
29:41 I really enjoy all your escapades! Especially because ur all aware of how fragile what is filmed wont be there forever. But could you please remember to put the lid back on all the boxes you open? Those little treasures, stored away undercover that may never be seen again. Just put them back reasonably, with their lids on... please?
Great explore of a lovely little farmhouse. Brave going upstairs 😱 but well done for finding lots of treasures up there and not falling through the floor! 👍
The doorlock, lampshade, super-cool. That safe wasn't going anywhere in a hurry. Great features, fixtures & fittings. More people need to see this one. Thanks, guys ! 🙂 I bet the guy died from candle-fumes ...
Amazing the heirs didnt sell the contents , value in the bits and bobs alone . The windows and doors , mantles would be removed for Salvage here in the states . Thank you Alex and Ed
You sure do take some crazy risks for your fans and followers! What a great old house but so sad that it will never be able to be restored. It must have been beautiful back in the day. I saw a Rolls Royce book on the table toward the beginning. They must have been very wealthy. Thank you for your bravery and for sharing these wonderful videos!
Really interesting old place full of stuff, I wonder what was on those old 8mm Kodak film cartridges! I have never seen purple carpet like that before 😆 LMAO, nah, you would never drop your torch 🔦 down a hole 🤣 Get your VacantHaven Wallet Now! Cheers Alex mate! 😎👍
2d = two denarii = two old pence (£sd - librae, solidi, denarii or pounds, shillings and pence). Oakey & Sons Ltd Wellington Knife Polish (in that tin) is for... polishing knives! The company made a variety of polishes from the late(?) 1800s, many different applications, also abrasive papers and cloths. Company is possibly still active (?based in Stafford).
I wonder what the connection to the seaman's mission Cardiff docks is to the man who lived there i wonder if he played piano 🎹 down there because there was a hint of someone who loved his music all over the place great find both even if it did give me heartfailer when you went up top floor 😅😂🤣
Just found you Alex, new subscriber 😊👍 Loved this place, so many lovely interesting items amongst the junk but I was really worried for you upstairs on those dodgy floors. Looking forward to watching the rest of your videos, have done 4 so far and you are such a nice bloke, very affable 😊
Another amazing video Alex well done what a place so much old fashioned stuff love it, what a shame cud be done up into a really nice old farm house shame cos it will probably get knocked down anyway great video love u and pompeye together great team 👍
Imagine how rich our lives & houses would all be, if nothing had ever been wasted. Impossible I know. but still. Hard work preserving things, is good work though. thanks for the adventure V.H.guys
I’m hooked on your channel. I really hope the fire place and stained glass windows are salvaged. The lampshades are antique OMG I’d be so tempted to save the amazing things you find. One man’s garage, is another man’s treasure! So sad though, that this once beautiful house has been abandoned for so long 😢 This place is a time capsule. I wonder what the backstory is? I guess, same old story, whoever inherited the house couldn’t afford the inheritance tax? 😢
I sure hope they save stuff like those windows and lights and any wood that good shape to keep Thur a drop or push under ground never be seen again wound really sad to that much for ever
2p printed on the King Edward publication stands for 2 pence, purchase price for the publication. Those aren’t pennies, those are pence (like pennies).

Another great explore, the second floor was quite an obstacle course and there were a mysterious amount of wallets!

Thanks Trish, it was worth the effort going upstairs, even if it was a bit of a silly decision lol.

Hi Marilyn 👋

So sad. Nobody to share your worldly goods with. God just takes you. It’s quite saddening!😢
I'd love to read that magazine with King Edward VIII on it (I collect royal family commemoratives).

It may do, but I don't reveal locations purely for that matter.
As far as I know, noone else has been here since.
Thanks for that as I have been wondering. I'm amazed of the amount of empty properties. Thanks for your videos.
2d is tuppence or 2 old pennies.
