- 15 DOZEN OYSTERS? Today we take on the ultimate seafood and shellfish challenge. Can one man eat 15 dozen oysters? Today we try some golf oysters and Texas seafood at Pier 6 in the San Leon Texas. Where we had two hours to beat the house record in order to get the meal for free! They have a $0.50 oyster night every week, and the previous record was set at 14 dozen. Can we consume 15 and complete this famous man vs food oyster House style challenge similar to that done by Adam Richman (who actually said his Acme oyster House challenge was his least favorite or toughest challenge)? With fresh seafood, coming right off the water, and some amazing oysters let us see if we can complete this giant mollusk challenge!

Adam Richman basically said he would never eat another oyster again after doing his challenge. I was actually very impressed with how many oysters he ate. He came through on that one like you always do.

My birthday was Dec 30th and my husband threw me a huge oyster roast in our backyard! We roast them on the fire and eat them with cocktail and crackers! So good! Awesome job Joel! 🤘🏻🎉

I live in Washington state, and our Hoods Canal oysters can get HUGE! I don't care for them, but when I worked on peoples houses on the canal they would let us take as
many as we wanted. I would take some for friends.

I'm so happy that you're enjoying the Texas Gulfport. Everything truly is bigger in TX. There are huge cattle, long horns etc, also giant plants, fish, wild pigs, javelinas, and insects.

Looking at the nutritional values, they say that 15 raw dozen is around 4,290mg of sodium. Add the sauces and that's a ton of salt. I hope you had tons of water afterwards Joel! Great job once again!
That's only double the daily recommendation of 2300mg. He gets a lot more sodium eating hotdogs and wings and such.

I'm surprised you didn't get iodine poisoning from that many oysters. On the slimmie side I think it's how they are cooked . If they are cooked right they want be like that. Great job Joel ! 👍

I've always wanted to try oysters and muscles, but I've heard horror stories about people getting ill from eating bad ones. Not much of a "slimy" food texture fan. Sounds like the key to them is "fresh"

Love oysters on the half shell! There are 2 all you can eat buffets within 15 minutes of me, both offer oysters on the half shell. The price is under $15 USD for the whole dinner buffet, and there's no time limit on your seating. I have done 6 dozen myself on more than one occasion. The only issue is how many others are depleting the supply and how quickly the staff refills them. The staff does seem to take a bit of time to re-supply (I guess to save money). If the staff was quicker, I could do many more, but they also have several preparations of shrimp, clams, fried and baked fish, crab, crawfish and 2 types of mussels, so I put a hurting on them as well. My favorite way to eat them is with lemon and siracha. Great video!
Hilarious ending!😂🤣 I was raised as a child in Clear Lake City (where NASA is) and use to launch our boat in San Leon (it's actually Galveston Bay next to the Gulf Of Mexico). We caught some great fish in the bay there....
