ONLY 15 MINUTES? THE FREAKIEST OYSTER CHALLENGE IN THE USA | Joel Hansen

- The biggest and craziest oyster eating challenge I have ever seen in Florida! The biggest seafood eating challenge and I have attempted in a very long time is in treasure Island, Florida at Caddy’s Waterfront! The oyster challenge, featured five dozen oysters (60 oysters), and only a 15 minute time limit in order to get the meal for free! Armed with their homemade cocktail sauce, salsa’s, horseradish, lemon, and other accompaniments, can we become the first individual to beat this undefeated food challenge? or will this giant seafood challenge beat us? different than the famous acme oyster challenge, which is based on the record, this challenge showcased Florida seafood, gulf oysters, and featured a great ocean and beach view in the beautiful Clearwater Florida.
For a fun time, definitely check out caddy’s : caddys.com/

ARE OYSTERS TASTY, OR LIKE SNOT 🤢?
snot
....what if you think that snot is tasty?
They definitely require some lime and cocktail sauce
🎉 i love oysters🎉 you got this Joel🎉😊
@@TroyStevens1 Ya need to get out more.
Joel, if you turn the shells upside-down after you eat them you can tell how many you have left.
I was literally thinking that!!!
May Be cause THEY need to SEE the shells are empty.
That's actually proper oyster eating etiquette to turn the shells over.,
Just seen that for first time at oyster bar the other day and was like dang I’m slow, i never thought of that. Definite technique now!
@@ThinkImPlayin145 First time someone told me to do that in a bar, I felt so amazed/stupid I didn’t think of that myself lol
This is the first challenge I feel I could keep up with Joel on.
Ditto, they just go down so easy!
Me too
Yeah I'm not a big eater but it seems like someone like Joel should be eating 300. I don't think I could pull off 15 minutes but make it 20 minutes and I've got it.
I agree , I feel like I could smoke him in this competition
I reckon I would get the 20th oyster slipping down my throat and I'd be gone.........in a bad way@@chefbergsfoodadventures6531
This is probably the ONLY challenge you have done that I could do. When I was younger, we lived in NC and would go get bushels of oysters, bring them home, steam them, a bowl of butter and a bowl of our homemade sauce, absolutely some of the best times and something I won't ever forget. Thank you for doing it!!
This actually seems like one of the easiest challenges hes done. Only need 5 per minute and they arent that filling
If you like seafood, you're golden.
I agree. I think this would be easy.
Over shooting a few but yep to win.
Math isn’t easy. 4 a minute. :-)
Totally doable. I’d wager I could do it faster, he talked so much 😂😂
BRO LETS GOOOO!!!💯🙌🏼
Oysters are my thang! I could eat 100 of those. Wish we had an oyster challenge here in AZ.🦪🍋🌶️
Now I’m wanting oysters. Why do I have to be broke when I want something. 😂 love the videos Joel. 😊
Go collect some off the beach
I use a spoon to break them loose and I usually have 48 big fat oysters at one sitting. 60 would be a walk in the park. I like the taste of them like they are, so no sauce needed. :-)
This is the only challenge I know I could do. I’ve eaten 24 in about 10 minutes and I went slow because I was enjoying them 😅 great job joe!
did 6 dzn and a bottle of tequila , seedy after woods
Same! I could do this easily! I love raw oysters. and the only reason to eat them slow is to savor them
This is more of a snack for Joel 😂😂😂 100+ should be the "challenge" 👌
He actually did one where he ate like 150 I think it was!! It was either earlier this year or the end of last year !!
@@ItShelbyKnown I'm going thru his videos later to find this! 🤜🤛
Great job Joel 👏! That place really sounds like a destination getaway! 😊👍💕💕💕
I would love doing this challenge!
Just make sure you have a woman with you that night
Dash of Worcestershire sauce, lime juice and a drop of Melinda’s ghost pepper hot sauce 🤤 worth a try Joel
You said Treasure Island...That is not Clearwater unfortunately. I believe the location you went to is actually in the Treasure Island area of St.Pete. I've been there a few times, right near John's Pass
Clearwater Beach, Treasure Island, brings back just wonderful memories. This area is so cool. People are the best, hope you enjoyed your visit.
Allergic to shellfish but I would not eat oysters 😂 more for everyone else!😊
I had an oyster once and it was like a big slimy snot going down my throat and I dry reached really bad and I will never ever try one again. I’m amazed that any one can eat them.
I love oysters!
My favorite add-on's
Soy sauce, scallions, chili oil
Horseradish, lemon, form of hot sauce
Love your videos bro I never skip the ads for you!
Finally a business that understands to advertise a bit during these challenges.
This challenge might not be there hardest, but it looks freaking delicious. Really enjoyed this video Joel!
I love fresh oysters with horseradish, lime and hotsauce
Acme Oyster House in New Orleans has a 15 dozen challenge, I would love to do this challenge, it's 1 I know I could do in 15 min with a 6 pack of beer.
Hi 👋🏽 Joel, it’s Auntie! Oysters 🥴🤢🤮 I tried a couple of times couldn’t do it but I LOVE TO WATCH PEOPLE EAT THEM! 🤗🫣🫢🙋🏽🙏🏽❤️
I'd be chucking the empty oyster shells into a bucket or something, rather than playing 'where's waldo' at the end :)
I knew you could do it. Oyster is my favorite not to big of a size Canadian and Nova Scotia species are my favorites. Mignonette, lemon, hot sauce is a must. Though oyster katsu style is my favorite. 😋👍👊
OMG! THOSE OYSTERS LOOKS AMAZING!!❤
Dude, the T.I. Publix has the best deli subs you can get! Oh, and Caddy's is GREAT! That place has been a landmark as long as I can remember.
Tasty! I’m from just North of Treasure Island by Clearwater. My favorite is a fried oyster po boy. Definitely checking this place out when back in town! Get yourself a good Cuban sandwich while there 👍
I have eaten 5 dozen oysters in a sitting..but 15 minutes would be real tough. Looked delicious !!
Lemon, horseradish heavy cocktail sauce, Tabasco.
Nom nom nom! My favorite way to enjoy raw oysters is with lemon, cocktail sauce, Tabasco and extra horseradish! Other favorites are lemon, Tabasco and soy sauce or swap out horseradish for Tabasco. Okay honestly, any variation with the above listed ingredients is delicious to me! 🤤 🦪
I was unwell last year August when I first found you and your channel. I was having a hard time eating.. i had completely lost my appetitte and i needed to eat to get better. I was really struggling. But God......can you believe.....watching you eat made me be able to eat. Answered prayer. Your now my secret weapon. I recently had a pretty nasty cold, couldnt eat again and I found you again. Thank you very much. Your the clear example of God moving in mysterious ways. I'm grateful
Treasure Island is not part of the Clearwater Beach area it's the ST.Petersburg St.Pete beach/ Madeira Beach area at Gulf Blvd and Central Ave and Caddy's is definitely a tourist spot for pizza and seafood.👍
Maybe some vinegar or horseradish to go w/ it..
I CAN ROLL WITH THIS CHALLENGE WITH NO PROBLEM!!! LOVE MY OYSTERS ON HALF SHELL.. IM FROM SOUTH LOUISIANA OUTSIDE NEW ORLEANS AND WE EAT A LOT OF THEM YEAR ROUND... PUT SOME LEAD IN YOUR PENCIL FOR SURE LOL
If you ever make it to S. Fla check out Hollywood beach. A better hang out than south beach and Ft. Lauderdale beach. I love Florida I grew up here so beach bars are a norm for me and it’s awesome you’re getting to experience it. Enjoy
Thank you for the wonderful video of America's Weirdest Oyster Challenge 👍
I was in Clearwater in early November and had the most beautiful sunset ever.😄
Nice job on the thumbnail!😊
Awesome place to do a challenge, clear water is, Absolutely Beautiful! And no offense I don’t like oysters but these made me want to try them…
I’m so curious about how he was feeling afterward 😅
Like did their aphrodisiac-ness kick in?
Or did he end up on the 🚽?!?
Tampa here. It’s Treasure island beach in St.Pete. Clearwater beach is North along Gulf blvd (more touristy) treasure island is more laid back, more for the locals I definitely prefer treasure island/Johns pass area. Figured I’d clear that up! Awesome to see you in the area
That is a good restaurant.. Clearwater is nice..I enjoy lemon and I go back and forth between Tabasco and zesty cocktail sauce..as always congratulations..the oysters look very tasty indeed however I wouldn't eat 60😂😊much love.. respect
I know it may sound ridiculous however I'm electronic silly and I'm so old souled or old schooled or both I know nothing of these apps..I barely can navigate my fancy phone or the computer screen in my own truck.. sometimes tho I'm not dumb can make me feel that way sometimes...you are to kind☺️I so enjoy your videos..tho still so baffled at how you all sort all that food😂🥰
I honestly love them neat on the halfshell. steamed dunked in melted butter or cocktail sauce heavy in horseradish
How I miss Florida nice one Joel 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🌈
Wasaga beach, Grand bend, Sauble. Come on Joel, We have Great spots in Ontario too.
I do horseradish, lemon juice, a little cocktail sauce and hot sauce!
I grew up in lakeland , i was always hanging out in Clearwater an st pete 😊
Looks good, there is nothing like a resto on the beach. If you travel, Fat Fish in Limassol, Cyprus on the beach is amazing. You won't get Oysters, but maybe you can destroy the grilled octopus.
Love ❤Treasure Island...we vacation there alot🎉
Safe travels to your next destination 😀
Joel Wish I had some way to know when you are going to be in the Tampa area as Treasure Island is a short drive for me. I love oysters and my record is 15 dozen in 1 hour and they were great. If you decide to come back let me know as I would love to be there and I might just do the challenge also. Awesome you did justice to the oysters !! I like cocktail sauce with lemon on the oysters. You rock brother !!
I love oysters. Clams too.
It would be awesome if you went on an island and did a crab, shrimp and lobster challenge
That looks very easy. I’m about to drive over there are do it. Are they still offering this challenge? When was this filmed?
wow dude u right by my house hope you had a good time cool to see ya so close cheers
*A light Appetizer for Joel.*
FEAST MODE!!
Love oysters. Best I ever did was 3 dozen in Clearwater Fl.
Hey Brother sorry missed you I love in Clearwater it's awesome an Caddys is great 😊
You making me hungry for oysters 😊
He was having a snack..😂
I don't think I could do this in 15 minutes, but I could definitely eat 5 dozen in 30 minutes. I love oysters.
I love oysters and have done this at a place called Awful Arthur's in the Outer Banks.
For me the best way to eat them is horseradish, lemon and Louisiana hot sauce. I love cholula but on oysters you need Louisiana, Cajun Chef or Crystal.. Occasionally, if I've had enough martinis I'll also use mignonette.
Wow this looks delicious. I have a “thing” that prevents me medically from eating raw oysters but I could absolutely kill this challenge.
You seemed to like the sauces better than the oyster!
Love oysters! This looked like a fun and tasty challenge. Pretty sure I'd hit a wall after 25 or 30, but wouldn't mind giving it a go or at least a smaller version. Joel made it look way too easy.
You had 180 oysters before, this must have been a walk in the park for you.
“Right on the coast of Florida “ where Horizon spilled oil for days and hours.. full of 30 weight oil … lol eat up dude ..not me
Keep travelling south to John's Pass, Saint Pete Beach, and Pass a Grille.
Im a 70 year old man and i can eat all that without anything to drink , i dont 😊😊😊have the record on eating boiled shrimp but i can put away 10 pounds in an hour peel and eat i think i came in 3rd place that was in 1988 in Texas
🙏 To the person reading this, even though I don't know you. I wish you the best of what life has to offer 🙏 🙌 😊❤
Joel is running 🏃♂️ though this 😅challenge like water bruh but they are good especially with butter 🧈 sauce and garlic and lemon 🍋 and & hot sauce bro..!!
Good to see you had a delicious fresh challenge you really enjoyed by the beach Joel 👍 And 5 dozen oysters for free takes the cake any day💯
I love baked oysters with a little crab meat parmesan, and jalapeño on them. Love Clearwater too. Clearwater and (PCB) Panama City Beach are my favorites of the different places I’ve been too. They can have Daytona. Wasn’t impressed at all. lol
That's easy 60 in 5min would be more interesting.
I’ve been there before! So awesome
Oysters not for me but you smashed it as usual 😉👌
Nice try but no scams today 😂🖕
LOOKS LIKE YOU MISSED 2 OYSTERS??? 1 DEAD CENTER AN 1 BOTTOM LEFT??
Wow that looked amazing! Crazy amount of those slippery little guys 😮Another awesome job for Joel 😊
she said orange theory. FREE CHINO😢
Oysters 🦪🦪🦪🦪 looks Delicious😋 Yummy!❤
Let's go Joel love ya Brodie
That is one location and challenge I would do. Actually I would just pay for the plate and enjoy with the 🍷
he looked like thor. he could be my next mukbang video to watch😁
Now this is a good meal
THE BEST HOT SAUCE FOR OYSTERS IS TAPATIO WITH LEMON YOU SHOULD TRY IT JOEL. 👍
0:50 nice voice over lol
Caveys is a GEM . . . Been there often. What's with the fork, Joel? Lift, slide, slurp and tilt your head back! lol YUM
hey viking teach me how to eat like you i like to try 👍
Seafood doesn't fill you up. I could be wrong 😊
I don't mind raw oysters especially with hot sauce, but I really love Rockerfeller and other baked oysters. Supposed to flip the shells after consumption.
Joel, it's ok to just be quiet and eat sometimes. 😅
My Family and I were at that exact restaurant this summer! We didn’t realize it was a Gay/Lesbian haven but we aren’t biased regardless. It was a great time!
I want to try oysters buddy so let me tune in !!!! Let’s go Joel 🤞🏾
With lime salt and shot sauce
That was a snack for our boy Joel.
There was one left in the front by the left side of the camera
You missed one in the front.I watched it the whole time.
