His Lordship Harold of Marunath: Oh no, the Empire is invading with a big army The entrenched position with numerous premade projectile blocking choke-points bristling with the best trained pikemen on the continent:
It’s so strange. I’ve never had a character as successful as yours in M&B, so i thought it was only natural that holding much territory or conquering would elude me, but your armies are wildly powerful, yet capturing territory is also very slow for you Edit: thank you all for the informative replies!
the main drawback is the endless busy work or dealing with the conquered territory: low loyalty, constant raids from small armies, getting attacked from all sides etc. All the AIs bunch up against you etc. Each time I try this, heads soon start to roll. No enemy lords = no enemy armies :D
The player is blessed with intelligence, the AI with a simulacrum. The AI on your side will build armies identical to the armies of your opponent, and fight battles in about the same manner. Bannerlord's AI seems a little more intelligent than past iterations... but ultimately they'll flesh out their armies with very low skill troops that will toss away their lives. Only the professional combatants are a danger. And unfortunately, the AI always will be able to bring more men to bear, which the simulations will suggest lead to victory, barring some other influencing decision.

I'd probably become bored in such a campaign, at this point. I've played many games where winning against a hard/brutal AI required serious micro-managing or simply was sometimes impossible. Which was realistic, but tiresome. It's a shame, that difficulty in strategy games rarely depends on "thinking" power of the computer - and usually on flat 1.5x or 2x more damage, armor or HP. Imagine RTS games with an integrated AI...
If you ever got bored of politics you'd make a good M&B youtuber. I could watch these all day and its just a bit of fun for you, imagine if you did it full time lol.
Hey Carl, what mods are you using mate? Just RBM? Trying a playthrough of Realm of Thrones (GoT mod) and just experiences so many crashes due to mod conflictions. Cheers.
There is I think the natural question, of what is the counter to this. This is an impressive force, neigh invincible... but it's far from immortal. What is the counter to pike and shield? Can crossbows in sufficient numbers punch through the wall? Can cavalry out maneuver them and simply go strike at something more valuable than the men in the line (IK Bannerlord doesn't simulate this, so I'm postulating.
@ThePonderingoftheorb did the digging through wiki's and in game. They aren't part of the base game. Would you consider sharing your mod list real quick next video. Excellent videos by the way, I really enjoy them.
is basically Hannibal, winning every battle but never really getting closer to defeating the enemy
Raise another legion, their swords will go dull before we run out of men! - Roman strategists
A monetised Sargon channel? Inconceivable!
Bannerlord and M&B in general lends itself really well to the style of narration on this channel.
In a perfect world, Carl would have amassed a large fortune narrating Black Library audiobooks.
The insanity of trying to win a M&B campaign a classic tale
That cliffhanger ending, perfection.
My favourite Bannerlord story so far.
Ahh yes my least favorite part of bannerlord 2. The endless back and forth fighting over the fish bowl *battarian lands*

"Yes... but we'll hit theirs as well."

this is a common experiece due to the fact that companion armies cant win overwhelming victories like the player

This has been a fantastic series! Long may it continue. It's starting to give me the bannerlord itch again.
Why can’t gaming companies be more like this channel… give the 99% male audience what it wants
You cannot negotiate with a Lion when your head is in it's mouth.
Giant 2-h falx is a beautiful experience in this game.
Some of the best content you've ever made
I am very glad you are having fun with bannerlord. Its a very good sandbox to add narrative to
This is a good campaign story
Loving these videos

I don't know if you can do more of this sargon, but this was an excellent little story of battles and wars in bannerlord. 😊
I've never been much of a gamer but it's like watching Roman battles with better commentary
The AI hates you, doesn't it.
I clearly need to learn this game again

Cant wait for the next episode
Sargon refusing to expand his army beyond a single company video after video be like -_-
Allosaurus was the Lion of the (Late) Jurassic. Checkmate, Lions.
You should record an Audio Book of Lord of the Rings. I think it is necessary at this point.

PTW
Yeah just RBM, I wanted to reduce crashes too.
@@ThePonderingoftheorb Appreciate that, loving the narrations.

Carl, play Age of Empires 2 at some point. There's a Sargon campaign in the Return of Rome dlc
Anyone know which mod grants these hireling pikeman? They're getting some really good press here
They're just the normal mercenaries from taverns.
@ThePonderingoftheorb huh, haven't seen any in my game. Poor rng perhaps

As a furry i must disagree with the title of this video
Now, get out
Alright, now face the wall.
@@vileluca My statement was a reference to academic agent.
Furries are based sometimes
It says "Pacts" not "packs" but understandable mistake
