+Jacob Grzanowicz Ive been on a burnham spree and yea, alot of the videos he almost has to prompt the audience to say, that was funny, your supposed to laugh. I hate watching bo burnham with my mates because they just dont find him funny. Which leads me to one of two conclusions. Either they dont understand the joke, which i then try to explain and that annoys them; or they genuinly dont find it funny, which i cant understand.
+Justin Proctor So nice to see another person who's on a Bo Burnham spree :-) I don't even bother showing him to the people I know, I don't much fancy explaining every joke...
I know, it's kinda crazy. Especially with "From God's Perspective". Most people would assume that it's just a non-religious rant, but it really is more than that. Mainly with the line "If you want love, then the love's gotta come from you". It's really cool and slightly sad.
His song "oh, Bo" where he's satirizing mainstream hip hop, do people in audiences not get how blatantly brilliant it is, the way he's showing how he hates that BS?
I know that this is a really late reply, but I felt like I had to say this. Bo Burnham- Words Words Words: "Hating other rappers like I'm Helga Pataki" Remember Helga? That girl with the long blonde hair and the pink skirt in "Hey Arnold!"? She always acted like she despised Arnold, and hated him with every ounce in her body. But in reality, she had a huge crush on him. Bo mocks these rappers on stage and talks about how much they suck, but he actually respects some rappers. I mean, just listen to his rapping. Obviously that didn't all come from him. He has been inspired by several rappers.
its crazy that he was only 19 here. im 19 and idk anyone my age with the kind of guts that bo has to get on stage and say stuff like this. he wasnt kidding about being a prodigy
Not the same but I’m the same age as Bo, so hearing 19 I’m like “omg he’s a baby 🥺” . I know what you mean tho! And when he says prodigy i was like “omg babe you have an EMMY”
Honestly I wish there were more vids of Bo performing for crowds that don't know him at comedy gigs like this one. I just find it so interesting to see how people react to his kind of humour for the first time.
Outside of all these auto-comments and years later, if anyone watching his videos later in life this man has never changed. I Hope You’re Happy Bo. You deserve it, you brought so many of us happiness. Thank you.

HERO Does it matter?
Yoyo Mizuzawa yea ikr
I too, subscribe to the giant hivemind theory.
@@SuperLiammail i prefer adorable over "manly". leave your toxic masculinity at the door please
He started playing "Oh Bo" and I was like "YES!!!!!!!"
OOOH BOOO
I wonder if bo has ever had the thought “oh shit I forgot to put confetti in my pants this morning”
I think most people don't have the mental capacity to keep up with his humor... He really is genius
+Jacob Grzanowicz true
/r/iamverysmart
I know, it's kinda crazy. Especially with "From God's Perspective". Most people would assume that it's just a non-religious rant, but it really is more than that. Mainly with the line "If you want love, then the love's gotta come from you". It's really cool and slightly sad.
His song "oh, Bo" where he's satirizing mainstream hip hop, do people in audiences not get how blatantly brilliant it is, the way he's showing how he hates that BS?
He sings pretty fast, it can often be hard to understand the meaning of songs on the first listen.
I know that this is a really late reply, but I felt like I had to say this.
Bo Burnham- Words Words Words: "Hating other rappers like I'm Helga Pataki"
Remember Helga? That girl with the long blonde hair and the pink skirt in "Hey Arnold!"? She always acted like she despised Arnold, and hated him with every ounce in her body. But in reality, she had a huge crush on him. Bo mocks these rappers on stage and talks about how much they suck, but he actually respects some rappers. I mean, just listen to his rapping. Obviously that didn't all come from him. He has been inspired by several rappers.
No. Nobody gets it. Except for you. You're the only person smart enough to get it.
@@lejuanca Pretty sure that joke is actually:
Helga hates Arnold
Arnold = Main Character
Main Character = "MC"
"MC" is another name for a rapper
@@celty_6835 holy shit that really flew over 15 year old me's head huh
its crazy that he was only 19 here. im 19 and idk anyone my age with the kind of guts that bo has to get on stage and say stuff like this. he wasnt kidding about being a prodigy
Not the same but I’m the same age as Bo, so hearing 19 I’m like “omg he’s a baby 🥺” . I know what you mean tho! And when he says prodigy i was like “omg babe you have an EMMY”
Why am I not as disciplined and hardworking as Bo Burnham?
What do you call a kid with no arms and an eyepatch?
Names!
*Aggressively throws glitter*
he pulled glitter out of his pocket
It was confetite
ObsidionxStudios it was glitter
Glittery confetti
I think he maybe just always keeps some in his pocket
Actually he gave birth to a dove
Noam Chomsky wearing a strap on.
I thought he meant "Gnome Chompsky" and I thought of a garden gnome wearing a strap on
Honestly I wish there were more vids of Bo performing for crowds that don't know him at comedy gigs like this one. I just find it so interesting to see how people react to his kind of humour for the first time.
Quite possibly one of the smartest comedians out there. Kid's got unreal talent
"So I call him... Jamal..."
*_"Even though his name is Steve"_*
Outside of all these auto-comments and years later, if anyone watching his videos later in life this man has never changed. I Hope You’re Happy Bo. You deserve it, you brought so many of us happiness. Thank you.
Well…
this guy is my spirit animal
bo: Has a mental breakdown
Audience: CLaps
2:20 "Oh, and if die happy, the situation will be autoerotic asphyxiation." shit is just a little too relateable
they all laugh as he legit starts to mentally break down onstage
Yup
I keep moving my hair out of my face. Damn it, Bo, move your hair.
I love bo im using his music in my montages........ I cant wait to see him
Red Randumb how ironic to see you here
weird to see you here.
He can wait to see you .
love your videos, randumb hope you see this lmao
lol your famous now
he literally looks like he's about to cry the whole time which makes it feel so much more genuine
Is it just me............. Or does this guy mix adorable with emo and goth?
It's just you.
yeah it's just you, leave
Seductive Introverted 14 Year Old Yeah! He has opinions, fuck him! Let's tell him he's not welcome here!
..it'snotjustyou..
Less goth/emo and more angst and lack of fucks given
What do you call a kid with an eyepatch?
NAMES! :D
Stopped the video. Read the comments. Got all I needed.
*throws confetti*
@@tw16mock The comments are incorrect I'm afraid. Frederic Names the French architect never existed. Names (pronounced Nah mes) was actually a Greek philosopher who wanted to prove the goodness of the common man by severely disabling himself. He was convinced that he would be provided for by the community after cutting off his arms and legs and gouging out his eye. Despite the logistical complexity of such self-maiming, he managed to complete his task, only to be raped to death by a marauding band of Mongolians.
His songs we all know are amazing but his stand up is underrated.
I love how his face in the first song is just "why are you laughing at me"
that blinking 60 in the corner....
I didn't notice until you said it.
Now I can't unsee it
damn you
Fraps lol he could've easily turned that off too.
its fraps
One of the most brilliant comedians out there.
"When I was a baby maybe I laughed at people jiggling keys *do do* and now I am older and bolder and just get mad cuz i realized the keys are to a hummer" BEST PART!
Seeing this video- I know I'm so late but i swear I just want to give Bo a hug. He just looks so stressed and unhappy. I dearly hope Bo is living a better life, the one he deserves.
Conan's show:
Bo: "You like impressions?"
Audience: **cheers loudly and claps**
Bo: **does his Socrates impression**
Audience: **politely encourages**
This:
Bo: "You like impressions?"
Audience: **politely encourages**
Bo: **does his Socrates impression**

half the people didnt understand the joke but laughed anyways
7) Bo Burnham: "What do you call a kid with no arms and an eyepatch? Names."
Explanation: Frederic Names was a famous French architect of the 19th century who lost both arms and an eye in the Napoleonic wars.
Why i love bo burnham, he is so fucking smart eith his jokes that it actually makes me proud when I understand them, and i learn on the videos too thanks man :)
Or, yknow, it's just a joke about making fun of people and calling them names. But your explanation works too
I didn't know this joke was a reference and I've been hearing it over and over for a few years. Thanks :)
I tried finding more info on "Frederic Names" but I only found websites explaining this joke... Can anyone find other stuff? Is this legit?
avndm I think it's made up, "Names" doesn't even sound like a French last name anyway :D
Bo is so nervous here. I'm starting to see his anxiety in his shows after watching him talk about it.
Bo has a bunch of jokes that I feel go unnoticed, like when he said that the chorus was coming or “I say a joke you go”
Watching this after the interview about him expressing how much anxiety he actually has performing. He's brilliant, but is also a tortured soul. His humor is genius and he is really expressing himself. I hope that I can have the courage to be this vulnerable and authentic.
2:50 kills me every fucking time
It really hurt to see him like that :(
i think something that’s constantly my favorite part about bo’s performances is that he’s so quick that the audience doesn’t even catch all of his jokes
**(a transcription of one of Bo's jokes in hope of getting thumbs up)**
I love Bo.. Been watching him since he was 16... Love it.. But everytime I see him live he seems like he just wants to finish the set or he's not Enjoying himself. I dunno... It's the facial expressions and his rushness of his songs
He seems happier doing his own shows like "what."
Rainbow Saurus "what" was great.. Big fan
Brandon Delaire his facial expressions are the best. Sometimes he just looks at the audience with total disgust. It's hilarious
Cysquack Gannon it's rude
Brandon Delaire my guess is he hates the applause part
Wow, I forgot how angsty he could be all the way back then, his relationship with comedy has been love/hate for a long time... And now we've finally got Inside, the culmination of all he's been working up to. The Smells Like Teen Spirit of Comedy imo.
C A T E G O R Y : G A M I N G
2:35 "The fuck?" Some Karen in the audience just got offended before the joke was over.
Bo is the absolutely funniest. Love how he uses real world issues in his bits. Also of course , the original music and lyrics is off the charts. I'm almost 40 and love this guys stuff
That is one of the best opening lines I've ever heard.
He looks really attractive here oh
I love this man. he is my smol cinnamon roll.
+Mech Anima It'll only take a minute, you'll be happy that you did it
Really you should do it
HAHAHA
i liked the constant flashing of the number 60 on the top left that was the most hilarious one
I just realized that when bo was young he singing his songs with full of rage. He's not like he's performing, but he just letting all of his rage come out
his acts make me feel so uncomfortable but its hilarious, how?
battle montage Cringe comedy
Wow. Bo Burnham for the first time in HD!
i love how he slipped in "my part of the" show lyric in there to match the occasion xD
This guy is fucking wild, man. His brand of comedy is a bit much at first but it's immediately apparent how much thought goes into his stuff.
Get this the definition of Prodigy ( n ) a child of rare and exceptional talent or intelligence, a young genius. One quote about the word "A child who plays the piano when he ought to be in bed." John Morton I think Roget's Superthesaurus....nailed him!!! what you think?
