warmer water holds more dissolved sugars than cooler water, so you can dissolve more cotton candy in warmer water than cooler water
it breaks down complex sugars too simple sugars to ferment it faster and get rid of acetone on the mash
If we are talking science then we should also say no way you get any flavor from any mash. Flavor comes in with additives after distillation.
