My father passed away three weeks ago, we just received his ashes today. This song helps me feel calm whilst also making me feel broken as I recount his last few days.

I had just got him back after him being in prison for 13 years and I barely got to spend time with him bc he lived far and worked long hours. The worst part is I never got to say goodbye, he passed away alone on some back roads at night and I didn’t find out until the morning. There wasn’t even a casket funeral bc he had some type of infection or something so my grandma cremated him and I got some of his ashes. We did have a memorial funeral for him tho and I met some of his good friends and other family members on his side of the family which was nice I suppose. I spent a lot of time during that year being in limbo with my emotions. During Christmas I got super drunk on an empty stomach so I ended up in the hospital. Before Christmas I was suicidal thinking of ways to end my life and that just made it worse, I don’t recommend it lol. I had a deep heart to heart conversation that night at the hospital with my mom and I started to think more positively about my life and being grateful for everything I had. I know my dad would’ve wanted me to live the best life I can so I can have a great story to tell him when I see him again. I admit I’m not exactly living to the fullest atm bc of situations that are out of my hands but I’ll get to where I need to be to make life easier and better for me and hopefully one day I can become a father and be the best one ever. Didn’t mean the rant on this long about my life but I just wanted to let you know I feel your pain exactly, i would say it gets better but that truly depends on you, regardless I hope you have an amazing life and enjoy every moment life gives you bc your time here on earth is short.

I knew the very first time she looked me in the eyes and she sang one of the evening chants that there was love that I've never before or since seen. It was that feeling of instantly knowing you're in love with someone...but it was at a monastery. I had to look away, the Way it made me feel was so intense, and I worried we couldn't have such feelings at a place like this. Fast forward a year, I'm still here, and as we all cooked the morning communal meal she backed up into me as I passed behind her towards the fridge. She knew it was a mistake but it gave such a feeling I wish I could have held on and never let go. Then a short while before I very suddenly left that place we were doing some outdoor spring cleaning of one of our water tanks. I was on one side and she was on the other. I had to reach around the side for some reason, and she did at the exact same time, where our hands would blindly meet. It was in that fraction of a second I knew the feeling was real. No woman has ever touched me and made me feel the same... I can't settle knowing she's out there... I've tried to date and it's never the same, just a cheap imitation of the way she made me feel. It's been 6 years since I last saw her. I even tried once to go back and propose but she had disappeared that morning (very long story but I didn't have permission to be back). I drove all the way back home to CA brokenhearted, only to find my entire music studio stolen when I returned. She knew I wanted to be a musician when I lived at the monastery and always asked, "Do you think you'll make spiritual music for people when you leave this place?" I've only tried emailing her on one other occasion, last night actually, telling her that there is no one like her for me, that I've waited almost 7 years in hopes one day she'd reach out to tell me she had felt the same... Yes. I'm that man, crying on the couch wishing to hold her hand again... sometimes the only thing left is faith. I wanted to learn this guitar instrumental so I could write a song about her.

I know no one cares about what i feel right now but. I feel like this song reflects every single day of my life in 2019-2021 I thoguth nothing bad would happen. I was so happy but all that broke. Because it was the last day of school. The last day of my parents marriage. The last day I was truly me self. The last day I was happy. But now my personality and my thoughts on people are different. I never really cared for what people think of me but now I Do. I feel like they are judging me every second. But they aren't. I lost friends. Well technically all. My mother says I was a lovable, sweet, happy. I asked her what am I now to you. "You're mature than other kids, you're teacher tells me you're always alone and quiet" You know, people really don't like their old self but I do. I wish to be that lovable person everyone liked. But I just don't know how. I'm very much young. I'm 11 and thanks to the person getting this far.
