Awesome video thanks. I never used one of those. Always willing to learn
I live in WV....we used to do stipple texture on almost every house...now we do almost exclusively smooth...I'm glad much better looking....people thought texturing ceilings was easier....b.s.
I've got four of those, although a different brand. I love them. The jobs I do aren't big enough to justify flat boxes and I've found they are fast and pass my light test (shining a bright light down the wall after sanding). I've got a 32" I use for closed off doors and windows. Takes a lot of mud but it makes them disappear.
I have a big kitchen ceiling retape and skim job coming up so I'm going to give one of these a shot using a pole. I've done it by trowel or wide knife before but it's tough going when you get up in age. I considered getting the handle setup for my 24" columbia blade but it was expensive and I've heard from others that an 18 inch blade is easier to work with when using a pole. So I went with the proskim 18 and pole adapter. Feels like a feather compared to the aluminum Tomahawk so that's a big plus for my old shoulders.
I use Level 5 as a wipe down knife and the large one for Butt Joints. Love them! Wouldn’t go back.
My favorite sand pole is the super sander, get angles really well. Not into the circle sanders. Used them a bunch.
Good review...thanks
I bought the 18 in from lowes and used it multiple times but created lines like my mud had trash in it but I would use my knife and smooth.
Marshall Town makes great stuff. I only use there 12 Inch blades. Best 12 inch blade imo
Have a Columbia 18& 24 bought about a year ago I like them a lot however I find myself not using them as much as I would have anticipated. I’m a car enthusiast have a couple of drag cars maybe you could check some new stage four heads for us do a comparison. Keep up the great work Ray
Come on Ray, how about some cooking videos!😁
I have a fart fan video I'm working on now
Now what Dr. a 24” mad pan 😂🤪
Hello Ray. You ever use those rubber drywall squeegees (Marshalltown, Kraft, Magic Trowel) to do skim coats?
No sorry
Hey Doc, any chance of a video seeing it being used? Guess you would need the correct job in order to show it's potential, but regardless be nice to see it in action.
Coming soon to a theater near you
I love marshalltown Town except this product, this is for a decent finish or prep for texture but I personally wouldn't use for premium level 5 finishes.
Why? Just curious
@@THEDRYWALLDOCTOR1 Blade I ordered came bent, called complained and they sent replacement that was just as bad when I especifically asked them to inspect before delivering, idk about others but I wasn't happy about my purchase.
U have to handle them as if they're made of glass. If you hit the blade against anything, you'll have a kink in it that you can't straighten. Don't ask me how I know. 😀
Tape tech has something like that also
And they ve had them for awhile
you should work the tool before the review
they are opportunities possibly Ray.....don't just pass cuz its not drywall....expand baby, you never know......
Drywall got you here but may not be the end game
Thank you I'm going to review some security cameras when they send them to me
How do you review a product you haven't used in the field Ray? Thumbs down
I will use it in another video I just need the right job
