I heard a conspiracy theory that they just compile crash videos from different days of the week and release it on Fridays so they get the bike park/trails to themselves that day! ;)
@@57F100 yeah it was 💯% credible and true story ;) If you go on Friday you’ll see it’s all PinkBike staff laughing how everyone is afraid of Fridays now.

at 3:19 like the guy said he’s done this 100 times but it only takes one mistake for you to get serious injury or make it in to Friday failsStay safe out there this weekend if you’re on your bike and kids always wear your helmet
Yeah defo some people I’ve seen on Friday fails shouldn’t be doing The stuff they are doing they haven’t got the skill set or haven’t got the confidence to do it that’s when serious injuries will happen For example did see last Friday the guy doing street riding he tried to ride down the stairs epic fail but if you are a skilled street rider you just gap the stairs to flat wasn’t even a big Set either
Sorry I just don’t want people to get a seriously hurt doing stuff they haven’t got the skills to do for example You new to MTB buying a DH bike and then sending A 20ft gap Turning the corner and then sending 10 foot drop not the smartest idea
Yeah I apparently injured my wrist the last time I went bicycling with a GoPro... Prayers go to those that are permanently crippled because of this... Thank you for your sacrifice
2:47 literally a serious huck, but actually to FLAT ? There's no landing there. That kid had the ability to get it done but he VERY badly misjudged how dangerously that feature was built when he scoped it prior to the send
That drop is in Kranjska Gora bikepark (Slovenia) and there is a landing, which is very short. Actually you have to ride it very slow, the guy was way too fast. But there happen many crashes because of the short landing, so it’s barely ridden.
@@team1austria Yeah exactly. Extremely badly built for a Drop of that height. Even worse that it is in a bike park where the builders should know better
@@corbyntaylor9383 it fell into disrepair (missing planks etc) and then eventually was torn down. Crashes may be why they didn’t rebuild it. However I suspect it’s really due to a lack of volunteers and those who do show up being tired of the upkeep to maintain wood features. They’re slowly fading away at Blackrock, which is unfortunate albeit understandable.
Yeah, it’s sad to see lots of the wood features get torn down. The ice storm last year didn’t help either. But they’re redoing the fish drop! I’m excited to hit it because it’s looking much bigger. Do you live near blackrock as well?
@@corbyntaylor9383 the rebuild of that road gap is interesting. I stood on it a couple weeks ago and it doesn’t look that bad even though it’s at least 18in higher. Maybe less of a speed check now? Anyway yeah I’m in Corvallis.
2:08. Why oh why do so many riders choose to ride with helmet straps hanging an inch or more below their chins? Just when you need it most, it flies off like an ejection seat!

Sometimes, if you're really quiet in the forest... you can hear the bones cracking.
I love how good people are getting, the lines average people are attempting is awesome to see! While these are fails, they are learning and growing from their mistakes 🤙
I was thinking that's a Redwood forest. No Redwoods in Kiwiland. And the comment sounded 'Murican accent to me! I'm putting my money on N. California. Skeggs maybe? But I could be mistaken.
Both of the above commenters are right, also get all the protection, I started doing proper tricks on my dirt jump bike in 2022 and I already have a devastating foot injury.
I'm happy to say my Friday included no fails to this degree. I did deviate from the single track on an off-camber turn where I lost some traction. But all was well and I soldiered on. Put in a good 3 hours and 20 miles. Mostly delicious Redwood single track!
Carbon sucks so bad, it's found on all the big brands' high-end products. It's so bad that the pros use it almost exclusively. Carbon is so bad, aerospace and F1 are developing and using it on million dollar projects. It's the worst! Whereas everyone knows that if the riders shown had only used steel (is real), titanium or aluminum, their bike frames and components wouldn't have been damaged at all. Carbon is a hoax.
This edition needs to be renamed to "Friday Fractures." Simply BRUTAL.
