moral of the story : Dont go too fast, Lean back , know the trail , know your abiltiy scale.
Or smoke some weed before you start off. It will ease the pain.
I gave up motorbikes for mountain bikes and the crashes on the bicycles aren’t half bad compared to dirt bikes.

Agreed...In 90% of get offs your hands slap the tarmac first. Plus it's hard to get back out riding again in a few days when your palms are like ground hamburger.

this comment just made my day. a gravel bike is for people who have to much money and want it as an extra besides roadie or mtb. Or for people who have to little and dont want to buy two bikes. It just doenst hit home as an road bike or mountainbike. It just doesnt do it.

His body position is wrong and he panic brakes the front wheel. Sure a gravel is not a MTB - but this is totally not the bike's fault.
After 20 h of training offroads, you can actually ride that rather easy spot with any bike.
I think the bike is too big for him, he can't move rear the saddle. Otherwise this should be OK for him

God damn that was hilarious, I really needed that 🤣. I love when people bounce off the ground by their FACE and then pretend to be cool about it, as if it was their plan all along.
Love watching these while recovering from a bike crash.
To avoid these types of crashes:
*Lower your sit post
*During a downhill, don't use the front brakes to avoid flipping your bike
*It's up to you if you wanna use cleats or flat pedals (I recommend flat pedals for a safer option or if you're a beginner at mtbiking)
*Always aware of your surroundings
*Always wear helmet and protective gear just in case of an uncontrollable crash
*Check tire pressures and fork suspensions to make sure they're ready to shred
*Practice, Practice, Practice and just enjoy😉
*And also always bring first aid kits just in case of a serious unexpected injury.

Actually you should use your front brakes but even out by putting more weight on the back
I barely use my front breaks, you should be feathering with front and have your finger over the back break at all times, but usually you want to use the back, also another tip don’t go riding by yourself bring friends, it’s safer and it helps

I'd say you should use your front break the majority of the time, that's where you stopping power is at anyways. The front break is your homie 👌

Failures are so much better than successes. Any one can land the jump but it takes true dedication to smash your face into the hard ass ground. Ive never seen so many people that love to do that.

just hits different after you experience some of this. Recently, my bike fell forward when I was going downhill, and the handlebars jammed into my guts. Thankfully no major injuries.
Yesterday I crushed with my new mountain bike testing it. I have 12 exoriations all over my body including 3 on my face. Now I am having very painful moments and my faith in my bike's skills went down
