Yeah, scrying is literally one of the most powerful things in this game if used correctly
I mean, I would argue that yes, there is a world of difference between Frozen Eye and Golden Eye. Frozen Eye is a passive item that fulfills it's purpose without any further commitment from the player. Golden Eye requires you have the ability to scry, which usually means cards that take up space in your deck and require energy investment to utilize most of the time. Golden Eye is also restricted to one character for the most part in Watcher, whereas Frozen Eye is universal. Honestly, I think the biggest issue with Golden Eye is that I'd rather be drawing into the cards I'm scrying anyway. The amount of manipulation of odds I get from fixing my draws with scry isn't worth it next to just using cards like sift or backflip to cycle through my deck and get my discarded cards back into play. I'd rather focus on a build that always had access to every card I need rather than be able to foresee when I get them.

The only mechanic that maybe has it beat is the gambling chip and the card(forgot the name) that does basically the same thing as the gambling chip when you play it. Your description of frozen eye vs scrying is also terribly biased. Scry cards don't just scry, they do other stuff at the same time, the scrying power card being the exception but that one is honestly the weakest scrying card because of that. Pretty much all scrying cards are either very efficient attacks damage wise or very good in whatever else they do. Secondly, the frozen eye comparison is also unfair because frozen eye only shows you the cards, it doesn't let you manipulate them. That is what makes scrying so ridiculously powerful. You don't just get to draw something random. You don't just get to look at what you get and have to strategize around that. You can look at what you get and change it however you want. You can just skip curses/statuses that you would've drawn. You can skip ethereal cards that you wanna save for later. You can skip anything that doesn't fit that specific turn right now. With scrying, you pretty much can never get those turns where you just draw exactly the worst thing for the enemy action you could have drawn. With frozen eye, if a terrible draw is coming up, you just know that you're fucked. With scrying, you can CHANGE that draw and are no longer fucked. TLDR: You are heavily underestimating scrying mate. It is mathmatically the biggest statistic changer in the game. That is just factual, not an opinion.

When I say the item is limited by the character-limitation, it's because it limits what you can accomplish using it by virtue of what you use it for. Much like a draw-engine, scrying is not a win condition on it's own, but merely a means to those ends. As such, they're only as good as the win cons they facilitate. Now, I don't have the play hours to actually make a constructive criticism of The Watcher and her deck, but from the experience I've had, her deck always felt very cumbersome to use. Even with the ability to manage your draws in the way scry lets you, Watcher's mechanics, be they mantra, stances or marks, feel incredibly swingey and unreliable next to something like Silent's poison or Defect's orbs.
I love Slay the Spire. My fav character is the silent. When i first played her, i did a shiv build and died to the knight on stage 2. Today i got a build with 6 blade dance, 2 accuracy, and infinite blades. It was a lot of fun! I basically needed 0 relics because only pen nib in the last chest helped
This video made me decide to do a run where I pay more attention to the relics. I beat timelord on Ascention 18 with a spinning top 0 cost deck. I thought for sure my run was dead.
Frozen Core went fucking hard in a run I had. I was playing this Fission/All For One deck with 3 Fission+ and the free block and orb generation for Fission was unstoppable. Also, I'd love to see your Hermit content. He's my favorite character by far. Grudge is a fucking broken attack imo and Roundhouse Kick is silly with Necronomicon but I always have a blast when I'm in the zone with a curse deck.
I agree on just about all of them, except the one that moves poison to another enemy when one dies because it works with the card that gives every enemy poison at the beginning of your turn the ability to stack a ton of poison of many enemies that have henchmen and other times there is several enemies.

Frozen orb is also really good. That's 3 frost orbs for free and could be a max of like 12 or 15 if I remember correctly. Having focus with this such as bias cog or defrag and the grasper relic which grants you orb slots per two turns or the runic capacitor or just have capacitor is amazing for early defect which finds it hard to find block
Flame isn't that bad tbh. Flame whirlwind, immolate, etc can save so much hp by ending hallway fights early. Bonus if combined with tea set, chem x or akabeko.
The dude in chat that said Tori-Tungsten order matters is a liar. Tori ALWAYS activates first. Which means if the enemy does 6 damage, Tori activates to check if its 5 or less, its 6 so Tori does nothing. Then Tungsten activates, reduces that to 5, but Tori already checked once, so it won't check again, so you take 5 damage. Tori ALWAYS has the priority in this exact way, no variation. PS: Yes I am aware that later on someone else in chat brings that up and Albino reads it, but I will still leave this comment here because the guy kept defending his headcanon in chat, still claiming it to be true. So In case anyone that read chat was confused now, just know the dude in chat was making that up.
black blood makes you such a total fuckin monster in hallways is the big upside to it honestly. like ironclad can reasonably selfharm for 12 every floor and have it be useful but if youre only hurting yourself like 4-5 a turn you can now do that and get a full burning of regen. makes you basically immortal if your deck isnt dogshit
@@SerialBull sustain is not the same as win more, sustain gives you more freedom and time to work on your deck without risking getting fucked as hard by stuff like stabby book or cultist duo with the hex bitch that deal crazy damage and tank your run if you don;'t have your defense core online yet

Blue candle + necromicon curse can be really good on iron clad if you have rapture its a strength generator and if you have the card that makes you draw when you exhaust cards you can sacrifice 1 health for 1 draw and if you also have tungsten rod its infinite draw
That's some insane bad luck to not often get some better than strikes out of astrolabe, damn. I've rarely been disappointed from it since not much is worst than strikes imo.
On mobile, they coded ring of serpent wrong, it gives 2 cards per turn instead of 1. It's a strict upgrade from ring of snake, and is basically snecko eye with no downside
Getting shovel early game especially on a character like iron clad is a free win. I have gotten to the point where I've had like 25+ relics with shovel and black star and the fact that you can always get a max of 3 relics each act of you are good at the game then it's broken
You did the flower relic dirty. Its a rare relic so you can simply find it and its op on ironclad. Your default healing increases to 9. If you have the upgraded version it increases it to 18. With that you will never need to rest so you can just upgrade your cards
