That depends. This game seem like it never had the commitment and enough manpower in development. I will say though, it isn't as simple as you make it. Games take way longer to make recently. Because progress made in computing power and simulation has worked counterproductively which is a shame. What I mean is because of this expectation of quality people have higher expectations in the small things which eats up development time, and as a consequence for that detail there's a much larger room for error.

They were so desperate to hit the “mainstream” and “appeal to everyone” that they completely abandoned both their original fanbases and had no one left. This game was so bad it did something I genuinely thought was impossible, make the SR 1/2, and 3/4 fans actually respect each other and band together to shit on this game.
There are still several glitches and bugs, such as weapon customizations resetting after closing and opening the game again, the delay when you crashes a car and the character is launched by the car, some clothes not having the option to change colors, etc.
Why are u talking about gta definitive edition? This a whole new game with a budget of 100million dollars. Gta 5 came out 10 years ago with the same budget and its 100x better than this game

You have to acknowledge that they did a good job adding things that, I at least, haven't seen in other games like grabbing the car's roof when going on top of it and the emote thing. If only they cared as much with delivering a mostly bug-free game at launch, it could've been a resounding success.
While driving, you can quickly climb out to the roof of the car and fly away with a wing suit. Cool. I've made a lot of bug reports and suggestions since it came out on Steam. Glad to see the game isn't left in the dust they're trying to do things. Okay, story is not the best but we cannot do anything with that. Just hope that they do something about that and fix it someway to get it better. 👍

Hi guys 👋 Those of you who have played this game I had a suggestion. When i played this game I discovered that one of the buildings in the Downtown area had the Big Ben of London object on it so I was thinking and suggesting that the next Saints Row game could or should be set in London for gamers.
How would one improve that shit? I rather not play this and wish they made a sequel where Gat joins the crew and murders all these ‘would be gangsters’ and takes over the whole gang.

Nice video and I'm liking how the game is improving so far. You can also save the game after using cheats which is also another good thing too. Edit: Scratch that folks; you still can't save the game after using dirty cheats which is really disappointing.
Disappointing? It's supposed to be an improvement. The new Saints Row HAS ZERO TOLERANCE FOR CHEATING and if you try to cheat, your save data will not be readable.

Who would even use cheats for this game (aside for fun), it's a pretty easy game. I recently have been playing SR2 and lemme tell ya, it's much more challenging than the other Saints Rows.

I did watch gameplay of both of them and they were pretty promising at best. Although, the Saints Row games are good, but they're not exactly flawless or perfect by any means as they do have their share of flaws and cons of course; the graphics could've been better for Saints Row 2 and the PC version of Saints Row 2 was unfortunately a disaster, even when you use mods to try to fix the game. The driving for cars, boats, and aircrafts isn't the best in SR2 either. Saints Row 1 could've a bit better if it were released on other platforms other than Xbox 360 and no offense to anyone, but SR2 is overrated. Overrated, but awesome and worthy to play and Saints Row 1 deserves better as well.
Although not perfect at least they fixed and improved the issues instead of abandoning the game and not fixing them, meanwhile it is a issue that games releasing now are filled with bugs and are unplayable whilst requiring top specs.

Saints row was always a little too goofy and the third was by far the worst game but aside from all of that it’s still a good series and now that they’ve fixed this game it’s good to know that even at its absolute worst saints row is still a good game series and I still love all of them
Shame that bug fixes don’t fix a… *god awful* story and cast. That was a big part of Cyberpunk’s resurgence. As buggy and unacceptably broken as the game was on release, the more the bugs were ironed out the more the story stood out for just how gut wrenching and well written it actually was. But the RPG mechanics, absolutely terrible empire building mechanics that Vice City Stories on the *PSP* blew out of the water, and a cast that genuinely acts like a rich white kid trying to be “hood” just made it a hill they couldn’t climb. It’s a tragedy seeing a company as revered as Volition collapse like they did. But with how arrogant yet terrible they were with their designs, unfortunately they brought it on themselves.
This game was a disrespect to the SAINTS and everything they stood for. So bad it got the whole studio shut down. This game makes me appreciate Gat out of Hell more and yea I know that's one of the lowest loved saint row games but atleast it had a bad ass protagonist, antagonist and a bit of a cool story.

Ive not had any of these issues and im at 80hours gameplay. about 70 hours of co-op

Actually that is false. Deep silver lost a huge deal with Saudi Games. They cut their lower end which happened to be volition.
