Senecio is a large genus of plants that has been often neglected-largely because it is so unwieldy. However, within the genus are a wide range of popular houseplants, including string of beads, string of bananas, string of tears, and the cocoon plant, for instance. But many of those plants have changed genera over the last number of years. Even though that's not widely reflected in the horticultural trade-we're getting to the bottom of it here on Plant One On Me.
