What Pete Cowen said and has been the most helpful to me is "Leave the hands alone and just turn into the ball as fast as you can"
I love what he call his "half swing". That's my whole golf swing sir.
Are you using the Mevo+ for those readings?
Padraig Harrington was saying the exact opposite where you have to feel like your hands are slowing down and the club head going past . I know which advice I would take 😁
I think you’ve miss interpreted the video. I excessively added loft overly throwing the club at the ball. For me to fix the issue I had to use an extreme drill given to me by the worlds best long drive coach, which was to overly de-loft the face with a ton of rotation because that’s what I personally needed to fix my fault (as I explained in the video). This video is about my personal swing issue and can be used for other golfers with the same issue. This isn’t a one size fits all piece of advice, neither is Padraigs advice.
I tried these techniques and it works.
Hahaha hahaha hahaha ooooohhh wwoooow heck yeah. Massive high draw.
My previous overall total distance was 245.
I'm sure I picked up at least 30 more yards.
Awesome!
My average driver dynamic loft is 22. Think this may help, thanks 👍
Absolutely!
Great video Jonathan, and an issue I'm working on just now. I feel I hit the driver too low, but I've not been on a trackman so I don't know what my dynamic loft average is, just judging from my ball flight. My driver loft is 9 degrees, but I can adjust it up to 10.5. I've played around with the loft setting without any discernable height increase and a bit loss of control. Should I focus on releasing the club early to get higher ball flight?
Are you releasing the club at all in the drill?
No manual release
😁👍
Thanks bud!
I don’t get why you’d want to hit lower when most instructors want you to hit up for less spin and more distance.
My fault was adding excessive loft, this drill was what I needed to feel a lower dynamic loft
