A huge part of it is keeping jury moral up. I think you under estimate how good this judge is. That is all intentional. An unhappy jury is a nightmare - and this is a very stressful high profile case to be a jury member on. If you watch the sentencing part of this trial, the judge knows when to switch hats and lay down the law in a very intimidatingly procedural way, that it really hits home.

Wow. I was thinking the same. I would be so embarrassed to have pictures of my house permanently displayed on the internet for all to view. Not only is Ashley a horrible murderous, greedy, selfish friend; she is a trifling home. I don't believe for one second that home was messy only due to a previous search.

Judge to the jury: y'all are my people. Totally my peeps! Y'all know I've been taking great care of you. Putting out an APB for snacks that aren't expired, giving y'all blankets to keep my peeps warm, giving y'all comfort potty breaks. Y'all are my favorite people in the whole wide world. I've taken really great care of y'all. Y'all need to take care of me now, ya hear?
Also the Judge: *thinking to herself* -I've got to butter this jury up so that they'll hurry the hell up during deliberations. WE MUST BE DONE BY FRIDAY! I have a hurricane/Labor day BBQ to attend.
Jury: feels the warm fuzzies because they are the Judge's best peeps.

This judge is making one VERY BIG mistake in this trial and I'm surprised neither side has brought it to light. The fact that from minute one, she has "rushed" everything, putting emphasis on a schedule of when SHE wants the trial done, or when SHE does or doesn't want to hand it over to the jury, etc......really not good. If she could have ignored the media hype, half of the bullshit show she's been putting on could've been more time spent on the case. The rushing could be raised on appeal.

Holy crap. Murder aside, what a waste this clown made of her life. She blew through hundreds of thousands of dollars on junk, big gifts for her boy toys, guns, partying, & keeping up with the 20-somethings. She could’ve had a gorgeous home instead of that disaster filled with junk. She could’ve traveled or done all kinds of great things. Her husband seems like a nice guy - they could’ve had a nice cushy life. What a mess she is.

If I'm an attorney and I ask a yes or no, regardless who's witness is on stand and regardless if i were prosocuting or defending, I'd want a yes or no answer.
The jury needs to hear yes' or no's. It's a lawyers job to say "care to elaborate?"
