I like regular frieza voice more but this frieza voice has better dialogue well poised and well executed I just think original frieza voice had more fear tho

I love how Chris really shaped Frieza 's role. That extended vocabulary and elegance. I'll always have respect for the woman who voiced him before but Chris elevated Frieza.

This was such a great edit.
This track is probably my favorite track in DBZ history because it really conveys the type of villain Frieza is, compared to other main DBZ villains. Here is an overview:
1. Vegeta was incredibly arrogant, narcissistic, and impulsive, so his tracks by Nathan Johnson and Bruce Faulconer reflected that.
2. Cell was just focused on achieving his peak power and testing his abilities and after Gohan severely humbled him, he went crazy and decided that the entire universe needed to be destroyed out of a weird sense of superiority and spite. Faulconer’s tracks conveyed Cell’s evolution as a villain well in that originally, they started off with a vibe of terror and suspense due to Cell not only being incredibly strong and sadistic but also, probably the smartest villain in DBZ history. Then once Cell absorbed 18, the tracks conveyed Cell’s pure arrogance at realizing that no one could actually stop him. Hell, even Goku, who reached the peak of SSJ1 potential (without sacrificing speed) couldn’t even get Cell to use his full power. After Gohan reached SSJ2, the music tracks became much more chaotic because Cell became increasingly more desperate as he realized that all the power he acquired wouldn’t be enough which caused him to make mistakes he wouldn’t have made before absorbing both androids.
3. Buu’s soundtracks were consistently pure chaos to reflect how unpredictable he was, compared to every other villain in the franchise. Fat Buu could be completely jovial and carefree one moment and then instantly turn into a psychotic monster the next and genuinely not understand the implications of his actions due to how mentally stunted he was. Super Buu was much more controlled and intelligent compared to the other forms and generally preferred causing as much pain and suffering as possible, so the tracks reflected that sadism and evil. Kid Buu, on the other hand, was the embodiment of pure chaos who could not be reasoned with or understood. Faulconer’s Kid Buu tracks reflected the pure insanity of Kid Buu perfectly, even if not a lot of time was spent on this form.
4. This brings us to Frieza. Frieza was basically the peak of DBZ villains, in my opinion because he had the full package of everything that made the other 3 arc villains great.
Like Vegeta, he had incredible narcissism and arrogance, but he also knew when to take things seriously and didn’t resort to stupid, self-defeating measures until his final pathetic attack against Goku on Namek. For instance, Vegeta’s Gallick Gun attack would have killed Goku AND himself on Earth because of Vegeta’s shortsighted pride whereas Frieza blowing up Namek would have really only killed Goku due to Frieza being able to breathe in space. Ultimately, Frieza’s impulsiveness only reached pure stupidity at the very end of the Frieza saga when he tried to use the very little energy he had left to kill Goku when, if he could actually detect energy, he would have realized was an insanely stupid idea.
Like Cell’s early forms, Frieza loved testing his limits due to how no one other than his father had ever damaged him in a form stronger than his 2nd form. Frieza may have been annoyed that the Z fighters were drawing so much power out of him but he also somewhat enjoyed fighting people who forced him out of his 2nd form for once. Frieza may not have been as smart as Cell BUT he was pretty tactical in how he handled Namek. Once Frieza lost the scouters, he knew that searching for the other villages and dragon balls would be counterproductive and he realized Vegeta had become a real wild card due to having the same goals, rapidly increasing power, and the ability to find the villages without the scouters. Frieza at this point also probably knew Vegeta would eventually beat Zarbon, so calling in the Ginyu Force was necessary insurance to not get his hands dirty AND to ensure that he could find the Dragon Balls.
Like Buu’s later forms, Frieza was pure, sadistic evil but was very much aware what he was doing was wrong. Frieza had goals beyond mindless destruction and causing a lot of pain and suffering was just a bonus.
All these factors bring up the one consistent theme in his music, regardless of composer: Fear.
Frieza was pure, unrelenting evil who was fully cognizant of his actions and didn’t care. He enjoyed every single moment of suffering he brought on because he genuinely viewed all living beings as his play things. Everyone in the Frieza saga was consistently scared of him due to his pure sadism and also due to how every single time the Z fighters had the upper hand, Frieza revealed he had more reserves which made the situation hopeless.

Thank you for uploading this. I love the music on this. Feels like old times. Like it tells that there were a lot of tough enemies to defeat except one. And this one last challenge is next to hopeless.
But through triumph and resilience, our hero’s managed to overcome Frieza multiple times. Glad I could help.
The z fighters knew they were screwed everytime Frieza showed himself or powered up, even piccolo and vegeta were scared a few times, but Goku never gave up and pushed passed all limits

@@youtubedeletesmychannels2329 I think it was the direction they got from the higher ups at Toei, they wanted something more aggressive. I don’t care much for it. Towards the end of the series, Chris was already at his final stages of life so that’s why he sounds different too

Nah, due to the fact that just being immortal. It’s not enough to beat anyone really. You see it with Zamasu. He was invincible and he lost. Sure he can continue to live but even then, Beerus wakes up and he’ll end up wiping Vegeta in search of the SSG.
