At first it was very weird hearing his voice lines as Frieza, it kinda felt a little bit uncanny valley. However as years passed it really grew on me and the way he potrayed Frieza ended up being more diabolical and cunning, Ayers sounded so sinister and elegant. I'm gonna miss him, he was the definitive voice of Lord Frieza. 😥

Because Toei was lazy!!!!!
They were lazy because they didn't want to redo the series all over again with new animation. So what they did was take the old animation *"touch it up"* and add a few newer animation in between some bits...which looked very awkward because the newer artstyle was meshing with the old one......
Meanwhile, with this new animation here is a prime example of a true masterpiece that could have been Kai, especially with this music!
I know Toei is a shit company and all but to be honest they have like a million other projects and squeezing in a show that hadn't been too popular in almost a decade didn't sound good to them...

I wonder when DBZ games began using Kai voice actors. Was it when DBZ Kai dubbed began? Before or after? I also wonder when was the last time Gohan and Bulma's voice actors actually voiced their characters in media before being replaced permanently.
The first game to use the Kai cast was Tenkaichi Tag Team (2010), which was a few months after the Kai dub officially aired. And the last game to feature some of the original cast before they were replaced was Raging Blast, which came late 2009.
This is the best animation and voice acting.
This is how modern Dragon Ball should look. Not the shinny plastic look that they do look like.

@petplatypus kai sucks man they skip everything watch the original and see the difference man i saw the episode of kai when vegeta turns super saiyan first time dude that shit was a discrase the story wasnt even good it was like 30 seconds their suppose to show everything how he struggle and train to become a super saiyan oh and after he hit with the meteor there was no blood at all in the old skool he's bloody and messed up as fuck. i personally dnt lik kai the dbz back was way better

The game was so shit, this kind of animations were done back in Budokai 2 but still Kai used only a few scenes with slightly better animations. WTF???!!??!!!

Earth's Dragon's Ball can't bring back someone who died naturally, but Namek's Dragon Ball can bring back anyone who died naturally!
The problem though is that the Dragon Balls of Namek can only bring back someone in the state before they died, so in this case with Guru, he was brought back old, frail, and close to death. Had they used the Dragon Balls to make Guru young or have Eternal Life, Guru would continue to be the Guardian.
