Greatest workout ever put on dvd

Insanity was the first BB workout I did in 2017 and IMO still is one of the toughest. I still enjoy doing some of the workouts every now and then when I need some serious cardio. As Parrot said Shaun did far better programs after that but the first Insanity still has a special place in my heart...and in my knees! :-D

Mine was Insanity Max 30. That program was also hard but amazing. This program is one of the main reasons i got into Fitness and i added my own HIIT Cardio routines to my workout after weight training.

@@DedricSilva YEah MAX:30 is a great and tough program. Actually, my fav is the Asylum series, I think that's the most complete and fun Shaun created. I also enjoy T25 a lot because it's short but not too much to have good results and I absolutely love its Speed workouts.

I did insanity for 4 years at 33 and was in the best shape of my life. I still do it 2x a week like he said I like max 30 better

A girlfriend and I did Insanity three to four days a week in my early 30s. I was doing other stuff too - weights and a pre-work bleacher/hill routine. I still do some of the Insanity workout pieces on plyo days, but that handful of years was my athletic peak. I credit the hill sprints, backward/forward uphill/downhill and a stadium bleacher routine with some incredible speed gains, but I believe part of that goes to Insanity because of the consistent stretching within that workout routine. It was my introduction to the different variations of the 'greatest stretch in the world.' That alone was a gamechanger.

Just want to point out the cast member who spat on the ground 7:23 on the contrary came back to do Insanity max 30 but she doesn't spit there. She has her hair tied also so it's easy to miss.

I did Insanity in 2010 at the age of 30. Pretty sure my knees couldn’t handle that 13 years later. It was a fun program, though!

I did this program several times in my early to mid 30s. The key to not getting hurt was that I did it in the sand on a playground. Well, it was wood chips, so not exactly the same but kind of the same softness.

i did insanity after p90x but i thought it was just too much cardio. i still preferred p90x over it

There are 3 main ways to modify the movement in Insanity: 1) remove the jump, 2) slow down, 3) limit range of motion.
By the way, I did the full Insanity program in 2013, I was 48. Age is not an automatic hindrance.
Max30 is the same as Insanity, just with less rest between movements.

Love insanity. Still do asylum stuff all the time. It was my first bb workout and now they're all i do ten years later.
I like the warmup because it in and if utself especially month 2 is a workout. I was doing tapout xt and xt 2 for a while but tagging in the insanity warm-ups...

I don’t know if people think they’re good or not, but I think Focus T25 and Transform:20 are great programs too, and distinct from each other and Shaun T’s other programs. Not sure about the latest one though, looks too much like an updated version of Hip Hop Abs for my taste 😅

I cut the exercises in half, and do them every other day, and the cardio is still really good.
If you are overweight like me and try to go 100%, you are gonna suffer lol

Ah i had a good laugh. So much of this is true. Did this back when iwas around 24. Month 1 sucked but plausible enough to do. Month 2, though? Skip it and never ever ever do it. If you still want to have functioning knees, skip it and go back and do month 1 again. I did month 2 and i think in about a week i blew out my knees. Mostly my right knee. Now im 38 getting back into working out and my right pain has come back.
So be careful with this workout. Knee problems can follow you for the rest of your life.

Wow...I'm 54 and I am currently on day 53 (all the way through). The first time I did it was 14 years ago and I only did about 7 days...if that. I of course do what I can which is still a lot. I don't feel that I can't or I shouldn't until I hear complaints like this. Ha!

This. I remember the friggin' warmup was a workout in itself.
I did Insanity for 30 days. I didn't lose a pound. Wound up with knee tendinitis and less muscle mass. Moreover, it wasn't ever fun. I went back to P90X and saw actual results.

Im down 120lbs from 320-200lbs, Max 30, I think I'm on my 9th month of the program. I also did OG insanity in Highschool which I found much harder. I love max 30. 30 minutes and your done, sometimes 40 if its an ab day.
