Painting the Feminine

Working in my Painting the Feminine Art Journal by Connie Solera and this spread is going to be challenging because it’s very different than my own visual language! But that’s a great reason to work in this way, where I incorporate the images on the page into my own art…”have a conversation with the artist” as Connie says. It forces me to strengthen my own visual language and think outside the box!

What a beautiful Xmas gift…the gift of learning and creativity 🥰
You know…I felt exactly the same way and I talked to Connie about it and she said, working in this way, we are having a conversation with the art on the pages so it’s a collaboration. That really eased my fears and, when I approach the page this way, it’s an honour and a privilege that I get to do this! That I get to open up a book and work with Connie or Van Gogh or whatever artist you choose 🥰 Hope this perspective helps?
