Soraya, a guide is a person who shows the way to others. So, yes, indeed, you are a guide, and a superb guide. I love your guidance. I start to see the light with you, the light of colors and intuition in art making. I also enjoy your sharing of what you learned from other ladies of the world. Thank you🌺🙏🏻

Aaaaaaaw!!! Thank you *so* much sweet soul🤗 I am overwhelmed by the community of creatives, healers, makers that have gathered here…it fills my heart with joy. Before I started my UA-cam channel…I wrote a manifesto and it included so many things that have transpired here…and YOU are a part of it so my humble thank you’s 🥰
      Happy creating🖌️🎨👩‍🎨

I’m an English teacher and I believe that an artist who posts their art on UA-cam is both a teacher and a guide. A teacher, because they teach new techniques, show new ways of using some materials, introduce us to new materials, teach us how to combine colours, teach us things we haven’t thought about, etc. And a guide, because they don’t say “this is how you must do it”, they say “I do it like that and you do it the way you feel is right for you “. So, I’d say that you’re both a teacher and a guide and that’s why I love your channel so much ❤️💙💛🩷💚🤎🩵🧡💜♥️

Hi Alexandra…thank you so much for this! Your perspective (especially as you’re a teacher as well🤩) is so helpful and valuable. It reminds me of the saying that goes …the best teachers are those that lead students to the doorsteps of their own understanding. Thank you for this…it helps me as I confront my own self doubts. Love, light and lots of all the good stuff 🥳😘🤗🎨

For me, you are the doorkeeper-the woman with the keys who opens inner doors still hidden from me. Every video is a discovery tour through my mind, showing me possibilities and unearthing ideas. After so many years of postponing, you give me the much-needed fuel to become creative, and I love it!

Oh!! Martine!!!! Thank you 🤗☺️ I honestly am following in the footsteps of dr Estes who has always been a guide for me…to lead me to my own treasure. We all have it inside of us…and I’m am so glad that my videos have helped spark your creative interests…that totally makes my day! You’re a rockstar 🤩🥳
Assemblage is such an awesome tool (and plain fun!!) to help us with our color palette, patterns etc. I left the video link in the description if you wanted to watch.
PS I wrote down your definition of “bones” in an archetypal sense and I’m journaling about it. It is helping me so much in terms of deeper layers of healing ancestral trauma…so I thank you a million🤩
I will definitely include your quote in an upcoming video…I have to process the info and work it in.
Sending you so much love and hugs across the miles 🥰

I prefer to think of you as both a facilitator and a guide Soraya ❤ a guide through the Labyrinth of Creativity, for me Creativity and art are both Labyrinthian. Especially as an intuitive artist. We never really know or understand which path or source our intuition is going to take us, and as artists, once we allow ourselves to take whatever path our intuitive and inspiration leads us to, we are open to it if that makes sense (?)
I love how this piece is looking ❤ it has so much depth since you added the pinks and the black 🖤💕 (I have a confession to make; seeing orange and green together makes my brain hurt lol 😄🤭 they don't work together, strange because I red and green are complimentary colours. Curious 🤔) Am I the only artist who has that curious problem?

Hi Sandra…thank you *so* much for this…your kind words of support and encouragement as well as your description. I absolutely love your use of the word labyrinth to describe art/creativity etc…YES!! It is much like that and (in Jungian terms) the labyrinth is a powerful symbol of transformation, empowerment, individuation etc so I love that!! It’s so rich and multilayered🥰
And thank you for thinking of me as both facilitator and guide…I’m humbled and honoured 🥰
About orange and green…honestly not my fave color combo but I was going after the blue and orange combo that I so love and the green came into the mix😅
As an aside, though…a lot of times when I think a color combo just won’t work, I go to Pinterest and punch that exact color combo with Indian Saris and you will be amazed and surprised! Green and orange is a fave Indian sari (or salwaar kameez…this is the pants and tunic outfit) combo and I wish I could send you some pics. Try it out for yourself and let me know (you can use google and go to images or Pinterest). 🎨

@@sorayanulliah I will do exactly that, thank you for that suggestion. Although I used to use Pinterest a lot in the 'early days' it also hurts my brain 🧠 lol (too much all at once, information overload 🤯🥴) however I will definitely check it out - or better still, try some swatching.
How fascinating! Re: art and the labyrinth, I wasn't aware of that connection with Jung though it makes so much sense! There is so much I don't know re: Jungian psychology, the brain and art. Definitely need to return to my reading.

@@sandrafisherhayes3219I totally get the Pinterest overload situation…I’ve deleted the app and then reloaded multiple times myself 🤕😅🤣
Yes…instantly when you talked about the labyrinth and creativity…I thought of Jung! There’s always so much to learn…I’m re-immersing myself in Dr Estes’ audio books and it’s a wealth of information. Hugs 🤗

What medium are you using to glue down the tea bags?

    • @sorayanulliah
      @sorayanulliah  7 днів тому

Hi there Betsey…I’m using Mod Podge in matte so my pages don’t stick if I’m art journaling. This particular piece in on Bristol Paper. I lay the glue down, arrange my teabag and then apply the glue over top to seal. Hope this helps!
