This is the opposite shoulder wise. In a match the shoulders position should be squarred, so were the shoulders of denis and not of kurdecha. But denis had an advantage considering it was a bit off center. His hand was also cupped. Kurdecha on the other hand,had covered denis knuckle. Both had advantages on each other that wouldn t be on a standard match nowadays.
