I can’t lie, I love the 3.0 update. I didn’t buy an MPC until like 2 months ago. So I didn’t have a lot of experience with 2.15 to begin with. It was hard for me to wrap my head around how to make a full song with 2.15. Again, I’m new to MPC. I would just make a loaded sequence and mute when I wanted to hear it differently. The arranger just makes it extremely simple. I’m sure it was much easier than I think with 2.15. But I really like 3.0 a lot.
Go to your track mixer and select the I/O tab, you'll see that the audio input is either on auto or In.. You can adjust this in your project settings. The reason you'll get the doubling is because the sampler is a separate input.
@@BoloDaProducer the reason is because you have your knob above the data wheel set to the middle. To the right (MAIN) you get the full level on the mpc, to the left (you get the sound connected to the inputs. That's all it is.
I love 3.4I helped a couple people fix their exploded tracks I’ve had no problem with my style of production found a lot of stuff and keep finding out more and it’s just beta ❤❤❤
It’s still just 8? If so, that’s horrible. At least in 2.15 on the SE, every sequence had its own audio tracks. So there was a work around for the limited audio tracks. So now with a track/program being tied to all the sequences, sounds like you are now limited to 8 tracks with no work around?
but what is the roland mv101 doing now... cmon don't come for the premier device for Hip Hop. It's a classic workflow responsible for many of the songs, styles and records you love as well as some foundational features like piano roll... As essential as it may seem, please remember people have made great music with greater limitations.

I'm not been paid to endorse either. Again just stating the fact that the MV 8 had that ability for years and I'm surprised this is new to the MPC.
Nice one Bolo - I didn't think it could do this on the fly :) A real time saver and allows you to experiment with yu r tempo easy. Now all they need to do is allow us to record in other signatures apart from 4/4 :) PS I have put a request into Alai for this!

I dig the update. I'm more of a synth guy, so the MPC is still somewhat new for me. The new workflow seems streamlined in more positive ways. Some things are still a little baffling to me being inexprienced, but I'm getting then hang of it.
😂 your right! For someone like me,I live in controller mode because of my VSTs. But it would be no different than making the beat in standalone and finishing it in logic because you have nexus and you want to finish it there. So I guess that mode would be hybrid or until I get a fantom or motif! How many audio tracks did you load before it slowed down??

Appreciate the video, but warp mode of audio in your audio tracks has been available for years now- it is not exclusive to 3.0. It is nice to have the audio appear in the new arranger view.
Yes, I know that, but it has not been this easy to be able to do it on the main screen, and when recording in, it automatically warps the audio to set tempo.
I love 3 a lot. I also believe the full version is going to launch with new gen of hardware and tech or will follow shortly behind it with new button shortcuts for workflow. Some will say they just dropped hardware but that hardware carries current gen tech. I think at the very least, new gen mainline MPC and Live 3 is coming. Maybe key 2. I could be very wrong
Bolo show us how to make midi tracks into audio tracks so I can actually get my external synth sounds from my fantom exported to put in pro tools , in 3.0 on audio mix down all sounds are good but my external synth sounds aren't there , I think I have to record them into audio tracks
I’ve already showed how to do this, but I can’t remember which video I did this lol. It’s simple. You have to use the “looper” solo your midi track and use the looper to sample in your audio from your keyboard into the MPC. But you are going to have to directly input your keyboard into the MPC. You can do this directly through the keyboard or use the output from a mixer. Basically just have to sample it in
Akai MPC 3.0 is giving me “pure trash vibes” I’m a 3k user. I’m trying to adopt this workflow. It seems way more marketing than productivity and creation. Air plugins ..makes me think the designers are persons with software engineer trauma…(I was hacked and cracked before) too many validation and checks. Who knows if they sound good if they always need to be validated and approved..who is controlling the rollouts. [you're fired] I’m not feeling this jerky start-stop management style of releasing products and updates. No other software in my DAW has this issue. Trash vibes management to me. 🤷🏽👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
I most definitely believe akai is on the right track,, for one let me tell you I remember before all this software controller I had a mv-8000 and akai has basically taken the blueprint of the MV butt with enhancements upgrades and now added it to their software controllers,,it's not new😂 but it is something new to Akai check out that rolland MV but once again I love the MPC 3.0 I can't wait till they bring it to the software because I'm using the MPC one and buy me using the software I have more RAM processing power hard drive space etc..

Dope Bolo, this means I'm gonna start recording audio tracks. I never did b4 because it was sweeter in a daw. Until now. Bolo I tried it ...Dogg it was a nightmare all the audio sat still when I moved the tempo. I was unable to select warp it was deactivated.
It would be absolutely amazing if you could set different algorithms for how it handles audio when you change the BPM. In Ableton I keep everything to "Re-Pitch", which treats it like a tape machine when you change the speed up and down (no pitch shifting/timestretching/FFT) type stuff. I already used Audio Tracks in MPC 2 to record audio like in this video, but the fact it can lock to BPM makes it a lot different.
Pretty sweet actually. However, I'm going to try this with 2.0. I think the same could be accomplished in 2.0 as far as the tempo warping goes. No arranger in 2.0, obviously, but I'm going to see if there is realtime timestretch, similar to what you've just demonstrated.
So you’re telling me that you would use the sequencing from and sampling the old Phantom over the MPC. Because I’m an actual owner of the Fantom S, Fantom X6, the Fantom 06, and the Fantom EX. And the sequencing and sampling is nowhere near the MPC stuff. Respectfully.

Now I can change the tempo just like you did on playback, and the audio tracks the midi with no pitch change. Might have missed your point entirely so bear with me, but there's a lot in these machines so still feeling my way :)
Hey great vid! When recording audio tracks with the update, I can still hear the metronome when i record to a single audio track after overdub is turned off. Or when i have for instance: Drums (midi) and 2 audio tracks (Bass, and keys) i can still hear the audio from the drum and bass on track 3 (keys) when i mute out drums and bass. Basically the audio from the other tracks are bleeding into a track that I would expect to be isolated. Is this something you're experiencing as well? I submitted several bug reports for this but not sure if it's just my machine - Live 2

The midi works fine.. just when using MSB and lsb to search for sounds isn’t working correctly

Thats because you have the input monitor on "auto" or in for the audio tracks.
I checked that but it wasn’t on “auto” it was set to off and I still heard sound. Does it in my OG X too.

They still need to work on that, that’s why I did not do it. But most of the time I only go up maybe +20 or -20.

The only thing I hate about MPCX stand alone is no way to change sample rate to 48k
Personally, I would not want the 48K it would be too clean. I need a little dirt from my MPC.

The problem im having is how u copy sequence and change mute the track without muting the same track on the other sequence
