Hey. Great questions. So quick answer is you can’t sublimate directly onto cotton. Which is why ppl sub on glitter htv or other htv and put that onto the cotton shirt. But if you lay HTV down first and sublimate on top of that, isn’t it still just HTV at the end of the day? When the white vinyl underneath starts to break down you will suffer the failure of that. You don’t get the benefit of the longer lasting sublimation just the benefit of the color transfer from it yea? Just trying to understand.
Did you print these in two separate sheets. Cricut tells me no way. I’m on the 11x17 load type. Cricut needs to stop worrying about print size. Let the printer handle it

It’s more transparent then white and it’s similar to vinyl, but has a coating that takes sublimation. I left the link in the description box if you’d like to grab some.

You can’t sublimate on black or 100% cotton. So this would be work around.

Sublimation won’t last in cotton because there’s no polyester. Sublimation bonds to polyester which is why it becomes permanent.
What is altament soft vinyl?
What was the paper called that you put on top of the image after you taped it and it was on the heat press. That protective paper stuff.
Butcher paper. It protects the press from any blowout that could transfer to other projects.
