Thanks! Yes, a rabbit hole for sure. At least now I can get my head around this. Do you know if you have a folder named "Orchestra" which has BBC Winds, Brass, Strings, and Percussion in that folder... is there a way to show only strings or brass or winds from that folder? All my string tracks are labeled with "STR" so for instance BBC • STR Violins 1 or Abbey Road One = AR1 • STR Hi, etc. Is there a way to create a PLE that will only show any track with the letters "STR" through a whole template regardless of what folder it is in? Show all STR only tracks type command?
Thank you very much for your video, very very useful. Please, something I´m doing wrong: I want to create a new macro for "Open/Close Folder". I do all the steps, I create the new macro: "Abrir/cerrar Carpeta", I add the comand, I rename up with the name "Abrir/Cerrar Carpeta", I assign the comands "Ctrl+Alt+O"... but unfortunately it doesn´t work. It would be possible I send you a video with the process and you tell me where I mistake?. please sorry for taking your time.
Oh, excuse me, I´m really happy: I´ve got with Ctrl+Alt+O : open folder, but with the same combination Ctrl+Alt+O doesn´t work for Close folder. Is it possible make the two actions with the same combination Ctrl+Alt+O?
If you select a bunch of tracks, right click on them you can go to "Add tracks to selected Folder" you can also bind this to a key stroke in the Key Commands window. Also other actions like " Add tracks to group " or VCA etc...
Question... Instead of "BBC Studio etc."... Is there no way to make the PLE open the "Selected" folder based on a "Selected" target versus a "Name" based target?
Yep you can make a PLE to open a specific folder. But if you'll also want to use "Deep Track Folding" in Cubase to keep other nested folders collapsed also. I'll make a video on it when I get around to it.
Welcome back! Missed your cubase nuggets!
Very nice and helpful. Thank you!
I have BBCSO so this was awesome - thanks for sharing :)

Yes, where you input the folder name just set it to *name contains > STR*

Can macros be used to make folders or move files into folders?
