Tiss and most of the kids were shocked because the kids didn't know Rimuru was a king and Demon Lord, and Tiss had no idea that he was even a slime, let alone a king and Demon Lord. I'd assume Chloe just somehow wasn't surprised because _reasons_ and Alice probably just thought it was cool she knew royalty.
Here's the thing, for all the power Hinata (along w/ Yuuki & otherworlders) wields, something like a bowl of ramen or sushi really is beyond them. Rimuru in a few short years has recreated Japanese architecture, fashion, and cuisine. This rankles Hinata b/c this is what Rimuru uses his power for, but she's not going to complain too much as she wants these things too.
Let me give you a short rundown of the Festival schedule: Day 1: Rimuru's speech which you already saw. Presentations and exhibits. Rimuru will attend. Tournament prelims, 200 entrants narrowed down to 6. Rimuru doesn't attend. Day 2: Tournament Quarter-finals and Semi-finals. There will be 2 seeded entrants to add to the 6 from the prior day. Rimuru attends, and will have conversations with various people as he does so. Free Time for guests to wander around and sample the attractions. Day 3: Tournament finals and Dungeon opening. Rimuru attends. Of course plenty of other things happen too. Who knows how far they will get this season? The pacing is pretty slow but, amazingly, they did skip over an end-of-the-day meeting. When Mjollmile came to visit briefly with Rimuru, that was actually the only part of the meeting that they felt they couldn't leave out. So it's something not to ignore. Corny. Sometimes when you get older you realize corny isn't always bad. It often is really about being idealistic rather than being cynical, and frankly we need more idealism. The thing about the food analogy, is that it's a true description of Rimuru's views, as Shuna has assimilated them into her own worldview. Even if Rimuru hasn't thought about it that much. It's only because he doesn't have to, it's so second nature to him. In the background of the dinner there were numerous characters from the OVA's and the movie, some of who are hard to see. The Coleus brothers and sister, Barack's wife, Queen Towa and Hiiro, Jeff-sensei and his sister from Uratol, along with her husband. For all I know I missed some.
I agree.. this seasons pacing has been slow. It has been more and more difficult to have Jon excited to react to it. My brother read the manga and he said that next season it will pick up.

At 3:17 Dwarf King rode a "Pegasus" while Elf Empress ride a "Dragon King". In our world: food is food, but to isekai: food is nation. Was there such a thing? At 11:29 Miss Tiss & the kids surprised: - Kids knew Rimuru as a slime & teacher, but never King & Demon Lord. - For Miss Tiss only as a teacher, but never slime, King & D.L. So, shock for her.
