I was convincing myself that this was Gary Oldman doing an impression of Dana Carvey doing an impression of Jimmy Stewart.
I thought it was Eric Clapton 🤔
SAME!
Kinda sorta the singer from the band Failure
This is not Gary Oldman?! 🤣
That makes Gary the greatest impressions of our time. 😂
These last Conan shows are amazing lmfao. Pretty much does whatever he wants
That's how all his shows should have been like.
"Now look back and act surprised..."
Too much 😅
It's not only the great impressions that he does, but the surreal situations he puts those characters in.
hahahahaha! I was just about to comment that same thing!
Never heard Conan laugh so hard at this on the ‘Conan needs a friend podcast’ I nearly missed my stop on the bus I was laughing so hard.
Jimmy Stewart is one of my favorite actors and I love Carvey’s imitation of his voice. He’s great in the SNL sketch where Phil Hartman’s playing Reagan.
I haven't seen it for years, and have never found it on YT, but in the 90s, Dana did an impression of Jimmy Stewart as Dracula. "I'm gonna suck ya... suck ya *dry*..." it was freaking amazing.
In these final interviews Conan's laugh is on 11.
He's got his fav guests on. He's having a great time
Rip Conan
Dana Carvey is slowly morphing into an Eric Clapton/Gary Oldman super human. With an elite trifecta of comedy, musical prowess and gold standard acting he shall rule the world and i, for one, welcome our new overlord.
😆 the resemblance with those two is insane.
I remember seeing Late Night with Conan O'Brien when he was in NYC. I went two times, and it was back in the late 90's
I had that same timeframe as Dana did with Jimmy Stewart. It probably started for me in 1973, as I used to see his appearances on the tonight show along with movies like “it’s a wonderful life” and “the Man who shot liberty valance.” I loved the… the …the inflections and…..and…… the pauses…… and…I…I…I…I found myself…ah…ah…ah…stammering…just a little……and it just came to me.
That's such a pitch perfect impression. Totally convincing, I can *see* him. And as with all great impressions, it's my just the voice but the vocabulary, the timing. The "look away... now look back at it" feels so familiar like it's taken from Rear Window or Vertigo. Love it!
Carvey is amazing and Conan laughing adds to the humor.
Nice to hear Dana back on the podcast ❤
Conan forever..
Conebone69
Leno never!
He does Jimmy and Johnny Carson as lovers too 😱😂 "Should I put on the red teddy, Jimmy?"
I just realized the ground hog from Winnie The Pooh is just Jimmy Stewart with a whistle sound on the Ss.
The best.
这个节目棒极了👍,我喜欢
Dana Carvey is aging into Gary Oldman
id love for this gent.
to do a
calm sleepy time
read.
with his entourage of characters.
can someone make this happen?
please!
✌🏻🇦🇺
Now just a doggone minute...
No one does Jimmy Stewart better than Rich Little. If you closed your eyes there's no way you'd be able to tell if it was Little, or Stewart himself!
I’m crying in public
Carvey is a national treasure.
Does that include The Master of Disguise?
I know him from the radio show the six shooter. God I'm old lol
The unbeeped clip is so much funnier when you hear Jimmy Stewart's voice saying it.
Dana Carvey is way underrated.
Now look away now look at it and act surprised.
Hahahahahahhahahahahaha
❤️❤️
"She's flooded!"
I'm glad I got to see Dana's Jimmy Stewart saying the f word before it got censored.
He does Jimmy Stewart as a waiter on "Comedians in Cars" with Seinfeld also.
It's uncensored and it's pretty F(beeeeeeeeep)ing! Funny.
Why this show coming to an end i dont understand..😔😔
I like Conan's jimmy fallon impression.
coulda convinced me this was david spade
Eric Clapton aged well
One lie is when he says "We didn't have tape recorders then" referring back to 1975. Well I had a tape recorder as a kid in 1970. And we weren't rich either if that's what you're thinking. I still have the tapes although I threw the recorder away years ago.
He didn't have a tape recorder. I don't think he meant they didn't exist.
I also had a tape recorder in 1971 and my brother used it to record songs off the radio.
Then I recorded over those with my 11 yr old comedy (Nixon and such) impressions...
Man, that was a beating to remember! 🤕😀
Dana looks like Gary oldman
Jim Carrey's is hilarious too.
just thinking how his hair is so much like david spade's
Ugh this is leaves a scar. Jimmy Stewart is such a paternal comforting association for me and to put him in this sexual situation is just so wrong lol
Dana Carvey has had a stand-up comedy special on HBO in the early to mid 90s and that is where I first remember him telling this bit about Jimmy Stewart and Katharine Hepburn. I remember it’s also where the Choppin broccoli song came from and where he kept saying F***ing 49ers. Anyway, I thought the bit was funny. Honestly I thought the whole special was funny.
It's fast, but right at the beginning, when Dana hears "impression of jimmy Stewart", you can see him immediately begin pulling his bottom lip, shaping it. Are these the purposeful hands of a master being called to perform, or a psychosomatic reaction to the words "impression of jimmy stewart"? The world may never know.
Many people will talk of Will Ferrell being the greatest ever on SNL. Dana Carvey was quite possibly the greatest performer on this show ever. That Will Ferrell era did have skits that everyone would laugh at, but Dana Carvey could quite possibly do anything, and regardless of if it were 87 or 93, he'd find a laugh in every sketch. He's my number 1 no matter what. Such a broad spectrum, and not too many misses. The best. My High school years were imitating his Jimmy Stewart and Travolta. A total enabler of me being a dork.
Best on SNL? My short list would include Dan Aykroyd, Will Ferrell, Dana Carvey, Phil Hartman and Bill Hader. So hard to pick from those five legends, but I'd probably go with Will Ferrell.
I wanna know what these human super heroes do to keep their ageless hairlines!
I miss Conan already, I hope he doesn't do what Letterman did and go for a completely dead serious interview style, goofy Conan is lovable Conan is our Conan❤🤠
And yes while I was speaking an American flag was flapping behind me
The Camel logo on the old packs my dad smoked....there was a hidden picture or message on the camel or pack somewhere. I just cannot recall what it was.
@@user-lf7nf3kl7t lol yeah when I first started smoking I smoked camels but I don't smoke camels anymore and just lazily kept the picture LOL
I always had issues with Jimmy Stewart so any time Dana does him, it just skewers me 😂❤
Sounds like Mitch McConnell
...would you mind saluting it???????????
conan should bring out norm mcdonald on his last show instead of Jack Black
I think Conan's basically been bringing out people he has a close relationship with for these last shows. Even though Norm was one of his greatest and most popular guests, I don't get the impression they were ever actually friends.
But then again, what do I know?
@@gringochucha Norm doesn't have friends, just fans.
Rip norm macdonald
Carvey is great- the best ever on SNL? My short list would include Dan Aykroyd, Will Ferrell, Dana Carvey, Phil Hartman and Bill Hader. So hard to pick from those five legends, but I'd probably go with Will Ferrell.
Robin Williams did one once… lol
Gary Oldman ?
Conan you non schalant G.O.A.T.
I wonder if Jimmy Stewart got a laugh out of this.
Conebone69
I wonder why his face is so red here.
Guest: And then he...
Conan: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAH
Guest:...as I was saying....
Conan: BAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAH
Guest:...what you're laughing at I didn't say anything...
Conan: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAH
First
If you talk like that to service workers and they just straight up murder you, I would have absolutely no sympathy for you
Dana Work Moore
.S N L at Least
.
Sounds like Biden
The seemly salmon untypically spark because hood simulteneously share during a same subway. grotesque, bright exclamation
So disrespectful.
awful impression, accompanied by Conan's fake laugh.
@letsgobrandon
Can't you MAGAts stop hating for even one minute?
I just never thought carvey was that funny
