Xdinary Heroes is very eclectic, they do everything ballads, alternative, pop-rock, j-rock, etc. If you guys are open to that, their 1st full album "Troubleshooting" which came out earlier this year is actually really well done (it might be the best/most 'complete' album I've ever heard from korean music tbh) If you want something shorter, their hardest songs are Love and Fear, Moneyball, and Break the Brake I'd say. Money on My Mind is not as hard per se but it's a must listen 100%. They also have concert clips for all of those if you want to see the band performance!
You pronounced their name right, and yes, the screaming was the feature Yoon Do Hyun. YB is a legendary Korean rock band (formed in 1996!) and the members couldn't believe it when he agreed to join the song. This is their hardest song for sure, but you might like Moneyball and Break the Brake. I think Happy Death Day is their most "emo" type song, while most of their others I feel lean more towards punk/pop-punk. One of my favorite songs of theirs is Good Enough which is a complete 180 of this song, and is a soft acoustic ballad which is really beautiful. You're not going to get much hard rock out of South Korea, at least in the more mainstream spaces, the country just doesn't like it. I don't know how many other K-Bands you've checked out, but I saw you did Day6's Killing Voice (fun fact, Day6 and Xdinary Heroes are under the same label, making them their "big brother" groups). Some other bands you could check out are ONEWE, LUCY (a personal fav of mine), The Rose, N.Flying, FT.Island, CNBlue, and Rolling Quartz (they're a girl band so that's fun!)
People can't judge an artist's entire music with just 1 song; especially to a band like Xdinary Heroes that have a discography that varies. I could say however they lean more to alternative rock/pop-punk/punk-rock. Glad you check out this song. iNSTEAD! is a great approach for XH if they would like to go with a heavier rock or metal. I don't think Korea is that open to hard rock/metal though. XH just keep getting better and better. Thanks to Yoon Dohyun for featuring on this song as well. He's a legend.
thank you for checking out xdinary heroes again!! going from their debut, happy death day, to instead is one hell of a jump. they've pretty much evolved over the years and it's great seeing them do more heavier music even if it's not that well received in south korea. they've gone from pop with a bit of rock (which i also love) to rock with little to no pop! if you wish to check out more from them i recommend break the brake, money on my mind, moneyball, undefined, and no matter!
The moment they came out I was begging for a metal song with screaming, and the first full metal song they did was just that 😭 I’m so happy I chose to stan them
I loved these guys so much but when this dropped I completely lost it as I love my rock music with aside of pop. I'm thinking Break the Brake and Haircut might be something you'd like, Haircut is a favourite of mine 😅❤
The members write songs together And they say some of them like heavy metals and that's why they made this song Since members have various preferences in music genres, their musical spectrum is wide At the beginning they wanted and was tring to be unique and to sound different from their senior JYP band Day6, but now they are finding their own music and seem feeling less obsessed to choose something different but just making what they want, and getting better and better Other songs are different from this, but well made, I say. Differnt genres yet strongly XH's color & pretty nice qualities I wonder how they will evolve in their music and am looking forward to their next music Thanks for reacting this song I am not a metal-style music fan but still like this song, they put it really nicely ❤
The feature is specifically the screamo bit. 2:03 is Gaon, who is one of the guitarist. One of the main vocalists is Jooyeon (long black hair with black lipstick- basically the 80s glam rock look) and in the past, he has expressed a desire to learn growling and such, so I’m hoping the company is going to allow him more freedom to do so since they can’t perform with their featured artist when they tour. Jooyeon’s vocals are great, so I’m super excited to see where things will go from here
For XH I would recommend save me , little things , strawberry cake , Good enough, and freakin bad ! none is this heavy but they are pretty good, thank you for the reaction
You should check out YB's most famous song A Flying Butterfly - ua-cam.com/video/OLAqv_Zbo28/v-deo.htmlsi=gQEhDkOyfXTZ5ocN . It's a famous rock anthem most Koreans know, it feels kind of like a Springsteen song. There's also an English version he performed on the overseas busking show Begin Again. He's one of the OG rockers of Korea, his band went to North Korea to perform the same trip Red Velvet went I believe.
When Xdinary Heroes came out they had a hell of an idol side to them. Nowadays they have the most creative control and apparently their whole lore/concept is ending soon. They feel much more like an actual band and part of that is just experience, you can actively see them grow as musicians throughout the discography.
Idk why nobody ever recommended this to you, but i think you guys should listen to Dreamcatcher. They're the face of rock in Kpop and the ONLY idol group that's been constantly doing rock music till this day. My number 1 song reccomendation for you guys to try is Rising and Break the Wall. I feel like you guys will love them
This was great! What should we check out next?!?!
Check out Rookiez is Punk'd and Miyavi

As a long time screaming for KMetal I am so happy I hope they do more
3:59 yep! the whole thing is in english

Yoon Dohyun does the screamo “instead”s, but he also has a vocal line right after Gaon’s line where they paused.
@@exekyute Really? I honestly had no clue. Thanks for letting me know. For as many times as I listened to the songs, that fact went over my head
My favorite band 😍🤘🏻🔥
xdinary heroes music has really gotten better ever since their debut, you should check out money on my mind or love and fear

We have multiple Dreamcatcher reactions and have seen them live in concert 2 times. Great group
