I lived in Winnipeg and Saskatoon both can get as cold as -50 Celcius (also very similar in F) with the windchill and especially at night - most of us just go from house to car to other warm building. It’s not that fun as usually you can’t breathe when you first walk outside but you’re not exposed long enough to really be cold especially if you dress the way she is. The only time it sucks is if you need to walk somewhere but life doesn’t shut down for us you just adapt.

@@SE_Marieyou definitely do adapt to your climate!! where i live we wearing shorts and tshirts in 12-15°C, but my friend in texas wears hoodies/sweats/jackets in the same temperatures lollll your body definitely adapts quite a bit!! also your gauge of what’s warm/cold definitely varies on what climate you’re used to, the weather my friend considers cold is mild/warm by my standards😭
I made the mistake to go out in 1 thin turtle neck, fabric pants, snow boots and puffer jacket in -17*C… my hair froze, my pants frohe, felt like my nose almost died off too. I was late and rushed and.. never again…

The coldest I've experienced is 16 degrees. And I wear 3 sweaters to bed. Also my bedding is THICK, THICKKK fur. If I were to be dropped somewhere that's neg 40, I will most definitely live forever because I'm going to be frozen in frickin TIME
