Why didnt Kenner release more astromech droids besides R2D2 and R5D4. They would have sold well, they bought in so many background creature figures why not droids?
These really are the real deal when it comes to ‘Retro’ toys. I hope he can branch out to Cantina denizens, and Jabba’s palace patrons like Oola and other characters. R5-A6 is a fantastic droid colour scheme.
These lil guys are amazing. They were always there in the back ground, (R3 - T6) but the works of art that they were, fleshing out the movie world, would have been relegated into forgotten history. Now these figures bring the hard work used in these films development to life, finally recognising an unknown artists work 40 years ago. Well done Chris. Thank you Tony for promoting the best new Star Wars range around.
What an authentic set of droids that fit in perfectly with the Kenner/Palitoy/Toltoy SW line. After all this time the background characters finally get their due. The custom work today is outstanding and worthwhile !

That new “vintage” styled Mandalorian looks like he belongs in the original Droids series of figures rather than the Kenner OT stuff. The colouration makes him look very “cartoony”.
Again I think these guys are doing the SW market a favour! Kenner missed the opportunity to do the same and they already had the tools! They just needed new decals printed or pigments in their plastic. Stan Solo saw it and did it! Good on him. A little Malc would have gone mad to get them.
Thanks Tony. I enjoyed learning the fate of these poor droids. I love what Stan Solo is doing, I have the Blue Snag, Yakface and Amanaman and EV9D9 on pre-order. I don't think of these as repros but as affordable versions of the originals. They are just as good and I believe he has help from an ex-Kenner employee who has all the knowledge and know-how to produce these with same techniques used back in the day. I love reading the feedback on his Etsy site, very amusing and funny at times. Stan Solo keep doing what you're doing 👍👍👍😃

It's amazing to see fan companies making the best stuff with immaculate kenner vintage packaging and we see a billion dollar toy company making rubbish cheap looking vintage card in the Retro line. Way to go Hasbro.

The EU has been going on for more than 40 years, so I dare say most people are "not familiar with the EU." There are a number of people familiar with aspects of the EU but not the whole thing.
@@AnalogToys Thats one of the best things of the EU. If you were a gamer, you got to enjoy it there. If comics, you got awesome stuff there too. Also novels. Most of the main mithology was covered in both, novels and comics and all very well tied together.

The number after the R indicates the style of dome. R3 denotes the clear dome.

I love this line of new R5-D4, I keep watching reviews. However, am I wrong or most of them have a bent-leg issue?
Just recently bought the slave Leia and Han in Carbonite from Stan Solo and couldn't believe how great they were. Completely blew me away.
