- Britt made the Pebblet Axe from the game Grounded! This was a super fun, classic, foamsmith project that only took a few days to complete.

Actually a _fantastic_ first project that covers all the basics pretty much: layering, doing a core, bevelling, using a dremel, heatforming, methods to seal, painting and blending. Really covers almost every base for basic foam propmaking imo.
always love seeing a Britt build video!
Thanks for watching! =D
The bottom wrap would be to keep the stalk from continuing to split down the handle causing the axe head to become loose and then the handle to eventually split in two. So it totally would be for structural integrity :)
Wow, you're so good at this, seeing it come together with the paint at the end was very impressive to me. And also those formed leaves
Fantastic! What a classic foamsmith project, and it’s from one of my favorite games 😊
Perfect! =D
It was cool and kind of nostalgic seeing you do an old fashioned foam project. I miss those. A very decent beginner project, indeed. I have bother versions of all three of Bills books and they come in handy quite often. Oh, and I laughed out loud listening to Bill singing, by the way. It was amazing. Thanks, guys!
What a fun build. That paint job is amazing
Thank you!
That turned out so cute!!! The paint really sells the scale!
Rock solid work Britt! Looks fantastic!
Thank you!
Foamsmithing! I miss these videos.
The axe turned out amazing! The finished product has such a beautiful finish. Being in real life it really reminds me of the old Honey I Shrunk the Kids play area at Disney world
Thank you! Bill and his twin brother got to go to that exhibit when he was a kid--they got picked to ride on the giant bee!
@punishedprops Super lucky! That is a memory to cherish.
Yay. I love when you make cute projects. Britney is adorable. (So is Bill with his giant legos.)
Thank you so much!
I was so nervous she was going to slip and slice her hand. Glad you didn’t and it turned out great
For a moment, I was thinking a 3D print. Glad to see back to the foundations in foam. ☺️
This project was just calling for foam.
This is so cute
Also I love this kind of quick project
Foam is amazing :D
Great work there!
Thank you!
Yay! Happy for another video so soon after the last one! And foam smithing too!!
Woohoo!
cool!! it came out really cartoony and perfect!! im glad we finally got a Britt video too!!! WE WANT MORE! WE WANT MORE! hehe
Thanks for watching! =D
happy to see britt again and i love this build!! ive been wanting to play this game it looks so fun
It's SO much fun!
Hooray for a Britt project! And how adorable!
Britt's the best! =D
This looks great. Super cute.
Thank you!
Britt! So great to see you in front of the camera. We ALL love Bill and all, but I just seem to get more of a thrill from watching you! You have so much talent! Love you guys!
Thank you! =D
Such an adorable build! Love you guys, such a pleasure to watch while I'm stuck working for a living (during the day) LOL
Thanks so much for watching. =)
Axe + Cute ? Thats an unusual combo. I like it, need to check that game and add those books to my list.
The game walks the cute line really well. The Aphids are adorable :D
Nice work! This was a good idea for a classic foamsmithing project, and the end result looks great!
Love how it turned out. Great job!
Thank you!
Well that’s just adorable!
Isn't it??
I must admit that when you started, I thought "hummm... today she seems like "what the hell, let's do this as fast as possible and I don't care butchering the project"", but I also must admit that the more the project was going forward, the more I was telling myself "wow, it's turning out so nice!" and now I'm totally sold by the result which is clean in it's shape and the paint job is top notch! I love the colors you've used and the gradients you've made, it totally fits the in-game prop.
In the end, after seeing all your other foam projects those past years, I should be more confident that it's obviously going to end well, and it's always fascinating to me to see someone work and who knows her/his stuff and turn some blank sheets of foam into a totally organic object, perfectly sculpted and perfectly painted. Nice job!
PS: Seeing Bill singing with headphones on, it makes me tell myself "Damn, so that's how I sound when I'm 3D modeling and singing at the same time with my headphones on!" :D
Both of you, please take care! Cheers from France!
Thank you! Yeah, Foamsmithing can look ugly before it gets refined :D
@@punishedprops In your case, it's more like "Foamsmithing can look ugly before it gets fantastic!" :D ; )
I love Bill's take on Goldfinger's Superman
Thank you!
That looks great! You absolutely nailed all the textures and colors!
Thank you!
Always a pleasure to see more videos from you guys!
Thanks!
SO GOOD!!! Would love to see more tools and weapons from this game!
Thank you, there's so many amazing tools and weapons to choose from!
10/10 I vote the salt morning star next
That's a good idea--it would go well with our Valheim porcupine club!
It’s interesting how when Bill sings he sounds a little like Kermit the Frog. Very wholesome :)
Bill needs to learn how to play the Banjo.
Superb Britt, remind me again; who is the foamsmith? Now, how will you play the game whilst clutching your axe so Bill doesn't go playing with it? Can you stop at just one prop from this game? I think a series might be coming. . .
Curse those artists for making such cute prop designs! We're probably going to have to make more...except for the sword that's made from a human toenail. That one is kinda gross :D
i'm not sure if this would be built, however i do like the idea of a glow in the dark, version of a sword from the Lego Nexo knights series. the one i'm thinking of is the green one from the first series of sets, it's pretty much a katana, with a transparent green blade with a silver handle. it looks like an overwatch character's weapon, however it's used by the Nexo knights version, of Lloyd.
More like this please 🙏
Can do! o7
Great job! looks good and you made it look so easy :)
Thank you so much!
I love it!!!!
Thanks!
That was some impressive foam sculpting 🙂
Why thank you!
Looks great.
Thanks!
You two are the best
Awe, thanks! =D
Glad you guys are back!!
Thanks for watching!
You did a great job on this, Britt 👌👌👌
Thank you so much!
Super‼️
👍👍❤️
Thanks!
Great Project. Love when Britt does content.
Way back in school, I took an anthropology class that taught how to knape rocks to make blades. The big scalloped areas are correct, but often we would need to knape in those big areas. So it's ok to have smaller curves in the big ones. The orginal model with all the smooth scallops just struck me as odd. It wasn't till you were carving them out I noticed what was bothering me.
That's fascinating to learn. Thank you for sharing!
Incredible work! I love Grounded. :D
Thank you!
Bill singing Goldfinger brought a smile to my face 😀
Fantastic! =D
A very nice project :)
A great game and a great build. You making bee or acorn armor next? :)
Anything but the sword made from a toenail :D
so cute^^
You stated “now the roterary tool” and I was like “oh fun!”
Goldfinger. Nice!
Pretending I'm a Superman! =D
Rather surprised you didn't use a foam dowel or half dowel for the rounded bits of the handle. Would definitely save some sanding and cutting, and they can get pretty thick and sturdy these days.
That's a really great idea!
Tiny props, huge awesome!
Thanks friend! =D
You kicked the old man's butt with that build. lol
That looks like a lot of fun to make.
It was a ton of fun!
Happy New Year in Peace, health and prosperity !
I think that you can also use a PVC pipe to do the wooden stick of this axe !
Do you know Kamuy cosplay deutsch makers doing cosplays and props to incarnate all their favorite caracters , they have many technics to do all the weaponery they need to complet their amazing créations !
Best wishes from France !
PVC pipe would be a great choice! We love Svetlana and Benni, they're wonderful friends!
I guess to be accurate, you UNshrunk the Props! Great job!
You make a good point.
How did you make the sanding station/ vac box?
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
17:36 Is he singing a Kermit the Frog unreleased showtune song?
I've had some experience with foam over 5 years ago. Now, I have to deal with the material again with new project. Making foam boots for a character from the Power Rangers franchise.
Awesome opposum.
Thanks!
The large amount of paint it looked like you have to use for Critter gun turned me off from getting one. I had no idea you could just put a smaller container on the inside. Thanks!
Oh yeah that's a game changer. You can even take the lid off a small airbrush paint bottle and put that in the mason jar.
"It's adorable" with giant bugs.
Wait till you see the Aphids.
Bill looks different in this one!
That's what he looks like under the beard! HA! =D
Did you guys get one of those Nerf gun Gjallarhorn?
I thought for sure you guys would be doing a repaint on one!
Would not call that game adorable 😅😅 gives me the creeps every time I try to play it 😅
I love how they tow the line between cute and creepy with the aphids and tadpoles. Also, the sound design is so rad--some bugs sound terrifying and others sound like derpy humans in a sound studio :D
I can't speak for the rest of your viewers but the foamsmith projects are so much more creative and fun than 3d designing and printing them.
Foamsmithing is always so satisfying. It's super fast too!
:)
Only used 2 bits.. didnt even need a shave and haircut
Isn't it? =)
Anyone screaming at the screen when Britt cut towards herself..... just me.......... nice build though
Naughty, naughty, cutting toward yourself.... definite no no... Great result, but remember, safety first.... always
2:45 don't cut towards yourself, it's not worth the risk of a nasty cut
