The problem is cost prohibitive kenneling and IV,… and veterinarian communication. 100 mg Doxycycline on a dog that had malaize but walking backed off and wasted away by day 4 as “time for meds to get working in the system.” They were going to then offer 2 to 4 days of IV and tube feed on a dog that lost confidence in back hips and ability to stand unless walking. At 1-2k per night they believed they could get her good within four days. When asked about getting her rehabbed to walk again, they said “one step at a time.” I had a miserable experience and a healthy dog declined faster than you can say “be rich, or go broke.”
