Escapetime Pilot Flieger 42mm Automatic Watch with 300m water resistance

Escapetime sold this watch in 2022 but has since changed the watch substantially to a quartz with 100m water resistance. The original watch specifications were unbelievable with a sapphire crystal for about $120 dollars. The quartz version now is about $80 dollars.

I have similiar opinion to yours on fliegers. They are amazing looking pieces on youtube, but they get very boring very quickly. I have wanted a flieger for almost a year, but never pulled the trigger to buy it and now I am happy I have not bought it.

I agree even with the 300m water resistance and rubber strap.
